Ignoring my narc literally saved my life. I got shot in my temple within a few feet, was completely looking away from him when he fired the gun. This was 4 weeks ago. If I had looked toward him any bit whatsoever, much less engage or react like he wanted, I'd wouldn't be writing this right now. The bullet ended up exited opposite side in cheek/mouth, missing anything of vital importance. I lost some teeth, have a wired jaw, lots of trauma to overcome, but I'm here, I'm not going to waste my second chance on life, and I'm finally at peace for the first time in years, despite being fearful at times. Those moments of fear are much easier to deal with than the constant chaos he brought to the table.

You are a person of substance, Sandra! More strength to you. When I say this, people think it's far-fetched, but there always comes a point when a narc themselves present their victim the opportunity to escape/get away from them for good.

Good video. Best way to win against a narc: 1) When with them, act like they don't even exist. 2) Go no-contact.

Neither #1 nor #2 worked to stop the abuse from my ex. He used to molest and abuse me worse and even hold me hostage after physically assaulting me...(physical assault isn't something you can really ignore, especially if you are bleeding and in pain) turns out he is NPD and has sociopathic tendencies based on traits discovered by "our" therapist ( a long surreal story how that "our" therapist happened) based on the traits recognized by a DSM-V assessment. He thought he was manipulating everyone he had involved in different ways, and he was plotting some terrible plans for me and my child but it ended up leading to exposing himself to all involved at the end through his own inability to control himself. He perpetuated a lot of violence while claiming to certain audiences that he was the victim while knowing exactly what he was doing all along.

Why would you be with someone that you are no contact with? Number 1 is no contact. Number 2 is act like they don't exist if you run into them. You have it backwards.

@@DamienYuen7718 Hello Damien! Can a victim go no-contact when they are below a certain age and are the child of a narc parent, thereby dependent on the narc? The child has to prepare oneself in every way before they can afford to go no-contact with their abusive narc parent, right? Therefore, the sequence. Thank you.

Wish I'd seen this 2 years ago. Had to figure this all out on my own, thru LOTS of trial and error. I will add- Stay firm in your words, say what you mean and mean what you say. Repeating the same words over n over forces them to hear em. FIRMLY tell them you are sick of hearing XYZ(usually the one bad thing you did, that they throw in your face repeatedly), and will not be tolerating that argument ever again. Be firm that no, you will not forgive them, but that you are open to amends being made. This forces them to realize they must take certain steps, words will not be enough. Under no circumstances allow them to be any part o yer life if they are using/addicted. Drugs/drinking plus Narcissism = insanity... It's also pretty fun to send em screenshots, links to these videos, in response to there texts. Protect yourself!

Danish. You have summed up my husband by saying they lead a double life. Secret emails. Never admits he did something wrong when it is so obvious. Laughing at my suspicions that he is cheating. Telling me I have amazingly breached his privacy by looking at his phone and emails, etc. And I only found these because my phone did not have service during a cruise and I asked to borrow his. Excuse me here but are married couples supposed to have a private life from their spouse? Needless to say I am divorcing this evil man.

Yes, I left him, but the illusion lingers on . Leaving him is like abandoning a small child , and that is the part that hurts the most. I don’t know why , but the hurting and painful inner child of these people always presents itself more dominantly than the grown man himself, and that is what pulled me in . When leaving him , Imagine how painful it would be to desert your own child. It hurts very bad . But to continue with the illusion , the lies , the games , the abuse , the punishments , is only disastrous to my own inner child. My self - esteem , my future, my life . So, I left , and I am loving and caring for my own inner child , and telling myself often that what this man does with his life is absolutely,NONE OF MY BUSINESS !!! Each and everyday the illusion fades more and more and I am coming back to me. ❤❤. I need to Love Me more than anyone else ❤❤. My inner child needs all that ❤❤Love I tried to give to him ❤❤. As painful as it may be , it is worth every bit of effort to heal and to get away from this lie , this fantasy, this fake illusion. Unless , you want to stay completely insane , going thru the same thing over and over on a downward spiral into darkness with no light 💡 up ahead !! Be blessed 😇…Namaste..🙏🏾🌹♥️

This is incredible wisdom insight and very affirming! So, true! My narcissistic mother and sister would always try to make me feel guilty for being myself while I was wanting and saying the truth. They blamed me for their problems. I learned to go grey rock before I knew it was a thing. Eventually I had to go complete no contact. Also, every time I would find peace and happiness they would always disrupt it. The hardest thing for me to do is to stop caring. I still can't stop so I learned to care for them away from them if that makes sense. I pray for them and realize that I can't help them if they don't want it. Thank you, so much Danish😀 This really was so accurate! God bless you, always!

I hold space for the space between myself and the narc I put all my grief, desire for contact, pain, anger, etc into that middle space. Sometimes it's full, sometimes empty, sometimes partly full, etc. It is sacred space. I don't cross it to the narc, and I don't allow the narc to cross thru it to me. I visualize it as 3 horizontal consecutive circles between me and the narc I.e.,. Me, the space between me and the narc, then the narc. No contact! It's a lifesaver.

Winning simply means not playing the game. These people, In my humble opinion, are either working with demonic forces and use techniques to possess us, or they are adept and skilled in using high level sophistry. Either way, it's not a game we should ever partake in because it will drain you on so many levels, emotionally, physically, spiritually. We win by recognising that these people are wicked by nature and remove ourselves from their presence. That's the only way to achieve peace. These individuals want to cause chaos and put you in in a perpetual state of unrest with their manipulation tactics. It's simply not worth it in my opinion. Seriously who are they? Once you see the pattern, just remove yourself and leave. There's absolutely no point in reasoning with them because in their disordered minds they are right and will always be right! It's not up for debate. We should never ever let another human being control us or be in servitude to them, which is what the narcissist desires. We can of course pray for them and that is the only thing we can realistically do. It's not to wish them harm, because then we could potentially become like them bringing forth the worse characteristics of our nature. And that's the danger, it's almost as if they push and want us to display behaviours that are so out of character for us! So they can say - you're no better than me! We are, and that's why it's so important not to play the game if you can call it that , as a game implies there's 'fixed' rules but no such thing exists with a narcissist, they keep changing the 'rules' in order to keep you in a perpetual state of chaos and confusion. Take back your peace and power and see them as irrelevant human beings. That's how you win and ultimately break the shackles. That's how you become free! Don't concern yourself with what happened to them in their childhood, just understand that any human being that causes you harm and gains pleasure in wanting to destroy you , is not someone you want to be associating yourself with - it's that simple. Be around people who are positive, show genuine empathy , who are loving, who help you grow ! Not someone who wants to destroy you! Serenity, tranquility, quietude, is priceless - the inverse ( the narcissists world) should be avoided at all costs!! Stay strong and I wish you all well. Xx❤

@@miked1192 Thank you - & I wholeheartedly agree. I think it was Einstein that said " Insanity is doing the same thing over & over again and expecting different results." Once we recognise the pattern and see them for who they really are, there's absolutely no point in engaging with them. We have to look within & focus on self - love. They have no power or control, they're like babies crying out for attention. Take away the attention, live your best life - they despise that. We have the capacity to love, to be happy something they will never have. Wishing you well on your journey & all the best.

In the back of your mind there will always be a box with your negative experiences in them. It's meant to remind us of lessons were to learn. A narcissist is one of them. Like all things bad for us in life, ignoring them is the best way to go about it. Your closure and revenge is literally to live well. Keep then out of sight, out of mind. Move on. Zero contact with them. There too many good people around, never waste your time with bad people.

This is very true. I've been healed, and I feared the narc will destroy me again. I know its not possible because I see them without masks. I feel protected because of the knowledge I have about narcs. Another thing that happened to me is when the narc asked me to express my feelings to him. And complained I never connect with him. I said I express myself all day long, every time I'm engaging with you, I'm expressing myself. What do you even mean ? And would you comfort me or console me when I express myself ? There was silence. And I concluded, so why would I express myself to you.

So I was exhausted one night because of the sleep deprivation he provided nightly. This night he woke me up after stealing money for more beer, getting drunk and attempting to try and bait me into an argument. Ignoring his existence aka grey rock (mostly out of total exhaustion on my end and the sudden onset development of 2 autoimmune disorders r/t his narcissistic abuse I had no energy) he violently physically assaulted me after holding me hostage in my own bedroom for hours and "crazy making". My not showing any reaction and him getting drunk= more violence in the end he snapped because I was ignoring his bad behavior too well I suppose. He didn't think I would have the strength and courage to call the police though, because he had been able to manipulate an officer once into arresting me along with him being arrested when I called to have him removed from my home for verbally and physically abusing me all night. He knew I was calling police, so turns out instead of leaving my home as I was begging him to all night, he actually called in police to counter my call and mostly likely lied. It still baffles me how that officer didn't care about my injuries and the fact it was MY own house where I called and needed the narcissist removed from. He used everything he could against me threats included to keep me trapped with him in my own house where he expected to stay rent, bill and job free to financial abuse, sexually abuse , emotionally abuse and ultimately physically abuse me. Because of being arrested before for nothing I did wrong I was really scared, but I prayed and in faith I called the police anyway (when he went to the bathroom) and these 2 officers saved my life. 😢 I was able to get the restraining order I'd tried to get for years. Forever grateful for the 2 of them. 🙏

Don't fight them to win, Go for endless stalemates, even in arguments. Every time they jump topics, to get away from having been proven wrong, drag them back to the topic and exact question they are avoiding and hold them there until they answer it or give up and run away. Stay calm and be firm, when they jump topics just keep repeating the question they are avoiding and keep the interaction there until the end. Do it every time they lie too.

Lol. I did something similar to this with my narcissistic mother. Except I wasn't "calm and firm". It turned into a shouting match for almost two hours. In the end, she was the one who gave up and went into her room because she couldn't handle all the truth bombs I dropped. I countered every argument she had. It's satisfying to an extent, but I hate losing my temper because it's emotionally draining and only adds to my already high stress level. Unfortunately, she found a new victim with our housekeeper. I won't be surprised if she decides to resign.

I found the best phrase to use with a covert narcissist when they are trying to provoke you is, “okay, I don’t care.” They don’t know what to do with that statement.

You can still love, without showing it ever again. Just follow the Narcissist's behavioral example. Ignore and come to a peace, they will never know. Stay clever. Stay safe. ❤

Extremely insightful, helpful information, Danish Bashir! Two long term narcissistic relationships have just ended in my life, one with my former spouse turned 15 year pretend friend, the other, with my middle aged child. I will always experience grief over the many memories, both good and bad, and for relationships which can never be, yet at the same time, feel immense relief I will no longer be mistreated. This video, when repeatedly rewatched, will continue to remind me to accept the reality of those relationships, and will help me to maintain my resolve to live my best life in future. Thank you so very much. All the best to you, Danish.

Thank you once again for your information and helping me see the path I need to take. I was just talking with a friend about these very things. I truly want to find a therapist to guide me to move on from these realities. You put it in a nutshell the daily life I struggle with. I feel like I can never speak without a reprimand, of some sort. I am a very caring loving person. But in my marriage I feel like Kim on eggshells with the eggs still inside, and if the egg shell breaks the egg splatters all over and it’s my fault. For speaking my mind. There is no communication. It’s his way or NO way.

He did try to kill me , which i barely remember. I was out of sorts for 3 days. He nursed me back to health as he has medical training. I have left him for 7 months now. I still have to do the divorce. He did pull tears at the hearing for the restraining order, but i did not fall for it, nor did the judge.

Narcissist is real..thanks for this video...be careful with who you put your heart and hope...from my experience is best to know her background and history before you have a relationship..salt might look like sugar..dont get trapt..most of them are wearing a mask..its ok to take time in having a relationship rather than put your life tru hell.
