The narcissist's birth family are aware of the narcissist's issues and problematic nature, but will often sacrifice the narcissist's new partner's well being to obtain some relief from the narcissists demanding nature. Thus, the family may welcome you in, and also use your supply to feed their own toxic narcissistic dynamics.

The covert narcissist I encountered triangulated me with his daughter. When I realized what he was I now see why he played the victim narcissist widower. His poor wife hanged herself from a tree and I can see why she'd done that. You're right they are functioning lunatics. Unbelievable deliberate pain and deadly harm they cause to good loving warm HUMAN BEiNGS. They are non human species definitely.

Wow!! I wondered this because my ex took me straight to his family for everything. He doesn't take the ns around his family. His family was the tool for me because I am family oriented. It was another tactic to pull me away from my family and isolate me as fast as possible. Thank you for sharing. I love your videos. 💜 They love bombed me and made me feel like I was one of their own. Yup I figured out it was a narcissistic cult dynamic. Ex was 39 and lived in his mothers house with the rest of the family. Mind you everyone in that family has slept with each other at some point: he asked me to move in the first 2 weeks after meeting but told me that I’d have to send my 10 yo child to live with her dad as she couldn’t come. He worked on me trying to get me in there and the mother who (didn’t like me at first) was so sweet to me and love bombed me. Soon enough he found a supply easy to control and moved her in and then the whole fam turned against me and helped him abuse me. They have this girl up on the pedi stall now and his mother is saying she will adopt her.. weird being she’s in her mid 30s. This supply gave up her child to live with him and I wasn’t doing that! I can dare even think about what the future holds for this supply in that house, she’s completely brainwashed and thing they all love her. They have a history of doing this with women.

Never again did we go to that caffe near his house. His father praised me as if I was the revard his son always deserved. Thinking back, his father, and possibly late mother were narcissists aswell. They thought their son was a little god.

Yes! My ex-narcissist would be on his family of origin side when he was drinking. He let to have in our house all parties for years: drinking, smoking, listening to loud music and all while we had 6-18 months old babies. No empathy. It was my codependancy issue, I was afraid of my ex-narcissist. But no more. 6 months no contact. ♥️

I’m watching you 3 years on and I’m so grateful you didn’t give up! You address concepts no one else does. Lots of “experts” just regurgitate the worn out haggard Wikipedia explanations. You however, are fresh and very insightful. You discuss new concepts, new questions, things we targets have all had questions about but you actually address. Or experts talk about the in-your-face overt Narc but don’t understand the covert Narc’s evil world. You do. And for that I’m grateful. This vid actually explains why my exhusband demanded we spend every Sunday with his family. For 17 years I did that. If I wanted to do something different, he pitched an all out temper tantrum that would make a toddler envious. Then he’d frost me out, ghost me, I paid dearly. When I left my ex, I heard crickets from his family. You finally explained it. Thank you!

I think, for me, the most validating thing you said was about the rejection from not only the narc but from the whole family .. and the social circle around them. I really embraced her family .. both exes. And it's the most painful, biggest betrayal, jaw-dropping unbelievable thing. Hugely difficult .. to be part of the family, and then you're nothing. The BIGGEST loneliest pain .. and it takes years to recover from, the whole experience. And your own kids are engulfed in it .. and you cant get in .. they close up around them. You literally .. lose .. everything! And when you realise, you then have to do your utmost to not let them see that pain. If you've survived this, you are one amazing heart and tough cookie. Crikeys.

It is so very true Pola. The narcisists are created in families and their families reinforce the invisible walls of the mental prison the narcissist puts us in. It is really dangerous to get involved with the narcissist and then with their family as well. As you mentioned there might be some empaths who do not have the power or will to walk away from the dysfunction and it only creates more confusion, doubt and anxiety in you when you want to leave .

Yes. I have experienced all that , toxic . I was a sitting duck , was looking for family , without the understanding of what a healthy functiinal family was , and fed to my ex,s family is exactly what it was . Got involved , and learned the hardway when i got burnt , and my ex found it entertaining , thsts the way they are , and you didnt warn me , i wouldnt do that to my worst enemy . Recognized then the woman who i married , who gave the impression , of being so loving , and tender , had a very dark , troubled , and seared side . Wolves always single out the vulnerable , and they can wear a disguise of a lamb .

Same here. My ex female covert narc threw me right into her family. Within 2 weeks I have met every member of her family, including her brother who lived out of state. Most of her family lived close to her, so I was always with the family. Little did I know her mother was the queen narc. Explains why the mother always had me over her house fixing stuff. I think I was over her parents house every other day doing some kind of project. Losing the entire family at discard was probably the hardest part. Luckily I still retain a close friendship with her neurotypical brother. Throwing you into the family works like a charm, it makes leaving during devaluation extremely difficult. I held out during devalue just because I didn't want to walk away from the family, they were all good to me, except the mother used me like crazy. I was definitely an extension of her mother, she treated me like a possession.

I was married to all if them (3) and scape goated to the bottom and treated like garbage...ex would never stand up for me or support me and then I figured out why. It was all on purpose. I was like their feeding trough. She brought someone into the family they could all feed from so they could Elevate themselves to feel Superior. It was sick and twisted evil and cruel and she pretended she had no idea what I was talking about. It was vile. Wow! Cant believe I just found this video. I experienced this absolutely right, and I tried to reach out to them on Facebook because I have kids with the narcissist and the kids live with me, anyway they never have responded to any attempts. Now that I look back it still pains my heart but what comes to my mind is I wasn't alone after all because my father and his angels were with me and not a hair on my head was harmed. To make a long story short I was naive and moved with the narcissist to her home town which is a county across a mountain from my home I could have easily been hurt or killed.

This is bang on, I was invited to meet her daughters and sons straight away, The red flags I had disappeared as why would a narc invite me to meet her kids, I got on great with one of her daughters and would turn to her , if I was getting silent treatments etc, from her mum, as I didn't get it , I even told her how worried about her mum when she thought she had cancer, Once I got discarded I was blocked by her daughter, found out that the cancer was all a lie and her daughters were as narcassitic as she was... I told her narc mum that the apples don't fall far from the tree, I then got smeared and it was used as the excuse for the discard.... Luckily for me I kept the text she sent me stating I'd done nothing wrong, and that she had just fell out of love with me, and didn't want to belittle me with slagging me off, She wanted to stay friends, I declined this, and knew she'd been cheating and been highly toxic and abusive to me, This video is bang on, Love your videos.

My first experience that something was just not right. When the mother sneakily told me she would be happy to break us up. I was so shocked at this from an old women to another grown woman. I told him immediately but knew more drama would follow. A few minutes later his sister pulled up to see the mother a minute later his phone ringing. Mams crying! So he went up so did I, mams crocodile tears to daughter she was so upset. 'So was I' shed said something truly awful to me and I'd told him. So in that situation I had him and his sister gang up on me for upsetting his mother. I felt so shocked and threatened by this. Having just moved country for him. To be bullied in this way. Prior to this happening I'd experienced this old woman's cruelty locking doors so I couldn't get out back door and would have to walk through where they all sat. Shed turn the heating off so freezing in his bedroom. He was going to digard at that stage years for upsetting his mother! I was so shocked. He changed his mind he said his sister had said if you live her don't let her go. Hed also said which I found strange that his sister would make it difficult for me as she would tell the women in the locality not to like me? I was so shocked never experienced this before. I was prior to this very good friends with his other l sister in country I left. I had no idea they were like this. Said I was posh totty ! All very close infact oddly close relationship with the sister who seemed to rule the roost. At the latter I said to him in used to autonomous adults. Not a group of middle aged adults still dependent on mother for their identity. It's a shame but one relief is not having to hear the whining of these big children. The energy was so negative for me from this one woman it made me feel physically sick being around her. But she's popular in her circle and sure has good friends. But in relationships you can't be forced to like everyone surely. Even if you try? Not everyone is comparable and the initial behaviour and aggression towards me didn't help. Even on a first long outing she accompanied us and took away special moments. And wondered of with him. I was shocked. It's like we've had our fill now.

Oh my gosh you're going to think I'm crazy leaving all of these texts, but I was texting while watching and had to add this because I watched the end just now. Sorry I'm a bit of a scatterbrain but you said at the end that they have to get you involved quickly and early on with our family. I just remembered that my narcissistic husband took me when we were first dating to a funeral to see his grandfather whom I had never met ever in my whole life and he was Tethered to a bed and was combative and was dying. It was the first time thinking back that I ever met his mother. And actually actor that he passed I met his whole family mostly at a funeral house sick I thought it was rather weird I didn't know anyone. But I honored his wishes when he asked me and did go but looking back what a sick twisted game they play.

It's so strange: the narcissist that I knew used a tribal face mask as his photo on his WhatsApp photo. It looks just like the one that the cannibals are using on your film. I guess before one even got to know him he was already announcing that he would kill you and eat you.

Hi Tamalia that's not so strange to me ex covert narc gave me photo of himself , holding up a crocodile, whilst he was abroad on one of his jaunts. I think the meaning of that ,was that crocodiles, take chunks out of their prey ,then hide them away under rocks, for later consumption. Not dissimilar to hoovering , in my mind. I ripped that photo to shreds when I realized what he was.

@@denisefisher2782 I am so glad you got away from him. It's quite horrible, really. I wonder why they do that. In a way tell us through symbols what they truly are. Perhaps there is a small part of them that is still healthy in their subconscious minds and it is that which is desperately trying to tell us who we are dealing with. In a way that can escape the detection of their very sick conscious minds. The vulnerable covert narcissist that I knew actually told me exactly what he was without really realizing it. After weeks of supporting him emotionally and psychologically through all his problems, depression etc I asked for just a tiny bit of acknowledgment for a problem I had. He simply lost it and began screaming at me over the phone, "I used to care about other people's needs but I was abused and now I only care about my needs and what I want. I don't care about other people's needs. And nothing you say can change me. Nothing you say enters my mind. No one can change me but me." His reaction was totally out of all proportion to what I asked for but he was telling me the absolute truth and the sad thing is that I don't think even he could change himself if he wanted to which he does not. So, I take very seriously now what people tell me about themselves, whether directly or through symbols. His subconscious mind was telling me exactly what I was dealing with and it was saying, "Run, lady!".

Can you please tell me what you consider the difference between a co-dependent and am empathy? Aren't most or nearly co-dependent's empathic -- tuned into the emotions & needs of others? When you listed them off & talked about the family members including empaths & co-dependenta at 11:32 , it almost seemed that they were considered different. Thanks

your experience is a copycat of other narc families, including lasting super "friendship" with his parent. Power. That "closeness" they have, it's called cult family in some 70's psychology.
