@@RICHARDGRANNON speaking for myself, I thought wow I think I know a lot of people that do that, so now I’m wondering if I may be surrounded by narcissists lol I imagine any one may say something like that here or there but narcissists might do it more consistently like a pattern? It’s a pretty short clip to gauge if only narcissists do that (if that makes sense)

I think it's different when someone uses that type of phrase, and they actually mean whatever they're claiming. Like if you're just getting to know someone and they legit are just telling you about their personality or interests. Obviously, some people lie because they're just trying to manipulate you (luckily, you quickly find out who is). Every human I've ever met has shown some degree of narcissistic tendencies at one point or another, some are just way extreme compared to others.

I was made to believe that my feelings didn't matter. My feelings from the first conversation with my then bf were: He does not listen to you or respects your wants and needs and puts his above everything you are. He does not care about you, he cares about how you make him feel. I now know this. But at the time i didnt know how to translate my feelings into words. Now looking back, i should have let him go right away like my feelings told me to. But i was so much made to believe that i didnt deserve better that i have let the wrong ppl in. Your feelings are screaming but you somehow block them out. First calm down and listen to what your feelings are trying to say to you. This is where grey rock and detachment comes in handy. Your Narc was right. You did let his words affect you. What else could you do? Ask him… well, you’re important to me. Don’t you want your words to affect me? I’m listening to you. In other words… we have to learn how to “fawn” (go along to get along) whilst we plot to get very far away from them. We also want to plot their demise but that’s easier done from the comfort of your couch, years later, after you’ve become so happy you’re away from them you outsource the deed to a voodoo queen in New Orleans (or Jamaica). :D * I’ve yet to not see results from my forays into the dark arts. It might take years for me to find out but boy, people do get their karma. The best part is giving your intention to the universe that they will see their karmic balance manifested ASAP. Then let go of that part of your healing. Just know it will come to fruition. It always does for me. And generally in short order. Sometimes I even believe I’m making it happen. People that hurt you hurt others, too. That’s a lot of karma.

Narcissistic people want to be individual powerhouses they resent the fact they need others at all. If your close to them they resent you for needing you it legit depresses them and they can’t have that they are addicted to feeling powerful like a drug addiction for real like it’s a compulsion, they refuse to feel bad they don’t like it they are children . they want total control over everything what is said around them what is done around them and how that effects their current emotional state. Oh watching tv will be ok today and anything goes then tomorrow they are struggling with their self esteem so no TV might make them feel jealous of something they see so they will be rude if you turn on the TV or a show that makes them unhappy BUT they lack the emotional maturity to just say today has sucked I feel like shit about myself. Because they are incapable of feeling bad about themselves because they don’t like uncomfortable anything. They are happy if their egos are satiated and less controlling in these states but if they feel even 1% less then the God they are run for the hills because it is everyone and everything’s fault except theirs.

😂😭😭 mine thought she was a real, decade-trained dancer. 😭😭 OR what got me… I was I’ve been a basketball player all my life, elementary to college… and I’d get to talking about basketball, or it would get brought up, and she’d just say “oh yeah I played basketball”, “when I played basketball..”, like talked as if she PLAYED basketball in the past. I had to ask and reconfirm, that she played once in like fourth grade at a tournament. But she’d talk as if she’d PLAYED, & was speaking about if her years of experience with, basketball for years. We’d even be in the gym a couple times at our university, and this girl COULDNT EVEN CATCH THE BASKETBALL. And I’ve seen a lot of bad shots, or players that just aren’t good shooters…but when I tell u this girl could NOT shoot a basketball. Like you know how people shoot when they don’t or have never played basketball, or how really young kids do. it’s all kinda got that, throw from the chin with two hands. But this girl would just reply sometimes to me or in conversations with other people, so casually that she played basketball, as in the context of like, how it’s normally used “oh I used to play football”. Just threw me off.And I didn’t even notice until ur comment 😂😭😭

I thunk people who overexplain due to having a narcissist parent may do this as well, having had to "prove themselves" to a narcissistic parent who doesn't listen.

I'm the kind of person who appreciates honesty and people who speak truth above all. I dislike proud, selfish, rude, egoistic, lie-loving people. I also like to keep these away from children. 😊

Some of them even give warnings this way- "I'm the kinda guy/gal- your parents warned you about!" they think it's cute & if you don't believe them & walk away, you're screwed! They're tangible evidence of evil demonic financial vampires that will make everyone turn on you as they also tell you that your friends/family are garbage... I'm guessing! Thanks for the daily reminders, Richard! You saved me & my kids years ago...🙏

@@whenimmanicimgodly4228 children cannot be naked in public and women need sanitary towels and underwear. Also toothbrushes and paste, food of some kind, utensils. You make a very stupid facile 'argument'. People, all of us need safety, security, warmth, privacy, tools for existing in the public sphere. False legs, dental work those are needed and expensive. 🙃

Haha, I used to have this boss who said he valued open communication and honesty but the culture he created at work was one of spying/reporting and secretive whispering. It was unbearable.

I recognise this character, it's exhausting to have a person like this around. I worked in the same environment with different type of narcissists, they are just everywhere. If you have a narcissist around, I advice you to not take personally anything from what she/he says, it's only the expression of their inner struggles.

When people see narcissists all around them and go diagnosing without proper trained educational experience, it's quite often that person who is foisting a label onto people that is actually incorrect. Quite often it is the person who is throwing around blanket terms they have no professional expertise in that requires the actual professional help as they are the ones who are showing mental personality disorder. Not everyone you don't like is an actual narcissist. Don't be so quick to misdiagnosed especially when you really, don't know what you are talking about...

@@DanzoSan Tks for your reply but I didn't give a professional advice, I gave my opinion based on my experience. Alright, not all of them are narcissist, could be other some sort of mental disorder. If mental health would be the norm these days the world would not be so fucked. I don't need a professional expertise to have an opinion. If so what entitles you to have an opinion?

@laviniaasofiei9054 I'm a clinical psychologist with over 20years experience. I don't give 'opinion', I gave you factual information based on years of scientific study m dissected and evaluated by millions of professionals all around the world. You yourself are not simply giving 'your opinion'. You are gossiping. Which has the potential to damage the personal and/or professional reputations of the people you are labelling. Which is why there's a saying "it's best to keep your opinions to yourself".

@@laviniaasofiei9054 lol Theres always " one" on these pages that just hates ppl taking about this topic and all the sensitive information out there available online for everyone. It's just not near as easy to get away with certain behaviors anymore without being called out. It's way too funny reading the responses sometimes. Not funny though.

@@francinesmith8109 I suppose that in this upside down world if you protect yourself from narcissistic abuse and you advise others to do the same "by not taking it personally", you are considered as being a narcissist who gossip about narcissists.... Fk sake, it's laughable.

🎯 so acutely and honestly put. i love the forwardness on fragmentation and especially on the child psychological state they live in. narcissists albeit socially harmful need a lot of compassion and “tough” love to get them to address trauma & their bad habits
