Thank you for the video. I'm surprised by how much I understood from just the short glimpse of the screen of the ticket machines. It seems the most user-friendly ticket machine, that I have seen so far. (One of ticket machines, I saw offered at first the choices about what kind of ticket to buy (most seemed to involve some subscription for cheeper prices or a season pass?). Considering that the names of the tickets were names and therefore not translated, I still have no idea what most of them were for. I don't even remember how I found the regular adult ticket without any subscription or season ticket. Or if I didn't find it at all and ended up with the wrong tickets. I didn't get into trouble with my tickets, so it was probably right?)

I was so close to visiting Japan at one point. I'm a Motion Capture performer and in late 2015 I was in contact with Capcom about the facial likeness role of Leon for the Resident Evil 2 Remake. You can use the Shinkansen with the Japan Rail Pass. You are only restricted to the fastest trains called Nozomi and Mizuho

There is no train that goes directly from Narita Airport to Roppongi, so you can take the Narita Express to Tokyo Station and then transfer to the subway to get to Roppongi. By the way, the Hibiya and Oedo subway lines stop at Roppongi :)

Does the JR Tokyo Wide Pass include NEX? Also if you were going to Asakusa would you rather the Direct but longer Skyaccess or the faster but needs a transfer like NEX and Skyliner?

It seems that the JR Tokyo Wide Pass does not include the Narita Express. The JR Pass includes the Narita Express (not includes Keisei Skyliner) You can get to Asakusa quickly and cheaply with the Keisei Narita Skyaccess, but the train platform might be a bit confusing. Thanks for your detailed video, it's very informative. My husband and I will be traveling to Japan in Mar 2024. He's handicapped and in a wheelchair. After watching enough KZbin videos, we still don't know what's the best way to travel from Narita Airport to Tokyo. From your video, we learned how to buy tickets from ticket machines easily. But when my husband is in wheelchair, should I buy 2 adult regular tickets thinking we can get on any trains or there are only certain trains that can accommodate wheelchair users? It also seems like online booking doesn't have wheelchair seat options. 😢 Hope you can help us. Thank you in advance.

Yes, you can also ride the Yamanote Line with just one JR Pass. For example, you can freely go to Shibuya, Shinjuku, etc. from Tokyo Station :)

If you arrive late night or early, relax at airport terminal until trains open. Save that $300 for taxi and go eat in Yoshinoya etc. then Get IC card and SIM card. That’s what I did. By time I was done trains were there. Just note not all shops or cafes open 24/7. Starbucks was closed at 5am unfortunately. But there are some places open.

From Narita Airport to Asakusa, you can get there in about an hour using the Keisei Skyliner :)

When you buy a ticket, you select another station (the one you want to go to) within the JR line. However, I could do that with the ticket vending machine if the language was Japanese, but not if it was English. I think you can buy it at the ticket counter :)
