Well done...And well said!!!! Ex (and still healthy) scuba instructor here. The correct mind set is that "it's just a privilege to be here" 🤗🤗

Thanks for the comment. I agree, flying is such a privilege that I try not to take competitions and points very seriously and mostly prefer recreational flying (as you can see from my videos). But competitions are great to build technical skills that in turn improve my recreational flying.

In 16 years of flying , I never flew at 16,000 feet. You're such a skillful pilot. Good job.

Wonderful video Soham! So sorry we couldn't score the day and have your first day win. In any case, I fully expect to see that when you next compete.

This is awesome! I am a brand new pilot (not yet rated) and I can't wait to do this.

I heard about the closing of launch on task 2.... I think you should have been awarded the points.
@sohamhanggliding Жыл бұрын
Thanks Luke, I thought it about more and I think the organizers made the right decision. It’s the normal rules for any HG competition. No one’s fault that launch conditions deteriorated so quickly, although launch could have been opened sooner since it looked soarable an hour before it opened.

Fantastic flying and editing! Really a very nice video but why comment about what pilots drink after the flight? Serious question, I don't understand... Be safe!

It's something that I do different from others. I'm not saying one is better than the other, it's a preference.

Hi Soham. Really like your videos. Wanted to know, how would you recommend to get started in hang gliding. Also what are good options for hang gliding schools in US? Thanks
@sohamhanggliding11 ай бұрын
Thanks. There are only a few schools left in the country at this point, but they are all fine. It really depends on your schedule - if you live near a school, that's the best place to start so it doesn't feel like a big commitment. If you're willing to travel and live by another school, there are good options in California, Utah, Arizona, Georgia etc. You can find currently running schools here: www.ushpa.org/page/school-listings (Red markers are hanggliding, blue for paragliding). Let me know what school you choose!
