Do you just pee in flight? if you really needed to?

I think I've seen even longer from Andrea Ghidini, that launch is not very steep either

Another beautiful and impressive HG soaring XC video!! Although I don’t HG anymore I am always dreaming of being up there with you. I wish we would have had GoPro’s etc. back in the day to better record the early 1970’s & 80’s days of hang gliding, for better or worse!! Are you flying a T3? Looks like an amazing glider!! Thanks Chuck R Hang IV #214

Thank you Chuck! Yes I’m flying a T3, and it’s a cross country machine! I would have loved to see footage of those early XC flights from the 80’s.

Brilliant video, well done. I'm a 73 year old HG pilot who dreamed of flying Owens. Not possible now but I can join you👍

Cool. Not much room for error by the looks of it (laymans perspective though).

Definitely, need good timing and technique for a steep and narrow launch like this

Then. In 2007 I did the reverse from Tehachapi to Walt’s point in my Sparrow Hawk glider. Good times indeed!

Holey MoonRocks! Great video. Brings back memories of this same flight I did back in 1985 in my UP C1. Back then Jamie’s Ranch was open for business and had certificates on the walls of others who did this 100 Mile flight.

Awesome. Is the time of year specific for these kinds of flights ?
@sohamhanggliding25 күн бұрын
Yes, June-September is the best time to fly in the Owens Valley.

Awesome vid, flight and narration. When do you start using O2 ? Makes sense that you have it at those altitudes.
@sohamhanggliding25 күн бұрын
I have a popular O2 system that starts delivering automatically above 10,000 ft, and delivers more the higher you go.

@@sohamhanggliding Sorry. I assumed Ed Levin. I stand corrected . I did watch a few of your videos. I was really interested in the HWY 395 corridor flying though as I love the high sierras and that part of CA. Have done it many times on the motorcycle! That’s where I dream of flying.

Wait, 1 hr hike from bail out? It means 2 trips with T3 and Rotor harness lol
@sohamhanggliding27 күн бұрын
Haha yes, we're willing to deal with that if it happens. I didn't mention in the video, but there is another small bailout that's much closer to the road, at a 10:1 glide. So still needs some skill and luck, but high chance we'll make it. That's why I would only recommend this site for advanced pilots and in strong "bulletproof" conditions.

Very nice flight. You may want to consider flying with FLARM in this area because on a great day like this there can be a lot of sailplanes flying near cloudbase in the same convergence, and almost 100% of them are FLARM equipped.
@sohamhanggliding18 күн бұрын
Yes, technology is evolving too fast for me to keep up. Next time I’m upgrade my instrument, I’ll get one with FLARM
