Just found your videos. Love them! My preference would be no music but to hear the sound of the boat, nature and water. Thank you for you sharing your experience.

Hi Revonda, I see that you watched this episode over a year ago. Just to let you know that Harry is still alive and kicking and still driving his car at 97 years old. Trish had to under go a brain tumour operation, and is recovering well. Just to let you know that I have a whole new series of adventure videos available to watch. If you have a look at Jim's Coastal Path Walk around the UK, you will see that I have recently completed a 3,700 miles coastal path walk around England and Wales, and that I am now in Scotland having started a 1,300 miles around the coastal path of Scotland. You might find it interesting. Kind Regards, Jim

Can’t believe 5 people have given this a thumbs down. Some folk have nothing better to do than be miserable, negative and ungrateful. I really enjoying this and the first video. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

Hi Simon, thanks for your kind words. I totally agree with your thoughts. 18,000 people have watched this, and I have had a handful of thumbs down, and hundreds and hundreds of thumbs up. I can't please everybody, and for I can't please, I am not really worried. I am only an amateur. Kind Regards to you Simon.

Bunch of Philistines, who go around roaming on You Tube, looking for educative & informative videos to hate. I actually like narrow boats and it's videos like the above that give me motivation to take a canal boat holiday and learn about certain canal boat living nuances from the perspective of normal everyday people.

Great videos guys. Love this series. We were livaboards for five years, sold and terribly regret it. We are now buying a wide beam boat and will be based on the Bridgewater Canal. Will keep watching these videos to 'capture the spirit ' until it's built later this year. You look a lovely family too. Lewis and Paul

Hello Colin, Thank you for your kind words. Delighted it gave you so much pleasure. You may be interested to know that I am on a solo adventure walking 5,000 miles around the coast path of the UK. I have already walked 4,300 miles but the Covid -19 caused me to postpone the west and north coasts of Scotland until 2021. However instead I had decided to walk from Leeds to Liverpool along the tow path of the L & L canal and include it in the Jim's Coast Path Walk around the UK vlog. The walk will start at the end of July. Kind Regards to you and thanks for watching. May I respectfully ask if you would subscribe please. Thank You, Jim

Great videos and really interesting to watch but on a safety note, there were times when the lady (with no life jacket on) was stood on the gunwale whilst the boat was moving and also in one part was on the gunwale when mooring up. One slip between the boat and bank and I'm sorry there's only going to be one winner with 20 ton of steel.

A great vlog. However, whilst I loved the music I would prefer to hear the natural ambient sounds of engine, water and wild life. and of course the comments when things don’t go according to plans 😃
@jimhawkinswalkstheuk6 жыл бұрын
HI mike, yes I agree the music was a bit too much at times. I don''t know if you amplify the music through a decent hi fi system, but it will sound much more balanced with everything else. I do appreciate your comments, but this film was made just as a holiday film, mainly for the grand kids. I am not a professional, I do it for fun and a great way of capturing family memories
