Little info. When you start down a steep hill you can put the bike in first gear and turn your engine off and use the clutch as a rear brake. That way you can keep both feet on the ground and still use the rear wheel as a brake.

Well done! That castle and the building for your first coffee stop are stunning! This is what I'd love about road tripping the UK, just those random stops and finding incredible history in every day buildings. That train looked cool too! Shame about the weather though. But you ended up in an amazing camping ground again! Living the dream, even in the wet!

Oh and Lavi you are such a Trooper battelling thru this. Theses are defo the trickier trails on the TET and you are getting an amazing crash course in trail riding. Your skills will go up on such a fast learning curve. Prob important to recognise this. Especially for beginners this terrain is phisically and mentally draining because the constant focus makes it hard to rest and relax while riding. Hang in there but take plenty of breaks to recover. It's worth the 20 quid for those of us who were fans of a tv show called 'the prisoner' in the 1960's :) For a few years my friend and I spent every September on our motorcycles in North Wales trying to visit every castle. My favourite ice cream shop in the world is next to Harlech castle. Wales looks so empty on the map, but there is so much to see and do....

I remember 'The Prisoner'. A great build up but the terrible ending ruined it completely. I will certainly avoid Portmeirion and the TET in Wales.

You went very near FAIRBOURNE! Which I used to think was named for my ancestors. Turns out some guy developed it as a resort Golf Course and named it Fairbourne. I have no idea why.

Try to practise standing in the off road sections. It enables more control and comfort. At some time, a trials riding course will aid your skill levels greatly.😁👍💕

I'm not sure how this escaped you, but Portmeirion is a very famous tourist attraction as it was the filming location for The Prisoner. It's a shame you choose to bypass it as it is very visually stimulating.

To fix the airbed you can use a bike puncture repair kit, or a cycle one, we had the same problem on our last trip and it worked for us.

There's nothing like jumping into 12 feet of water to learn how to swim. In the States, that's a saying when a person takes on a tough challenge to learn a new skill. Very nice video! Beautiful country but how depressing it would be to live anywhere in the UK where the summer's appears to be mostly composed of rain & cold weather. It's bad enough living here where the summers are so short and the winter's seem to last forever with snow and subzero cold. But at least the 3 to 4 months of summer we get are usually nice and warm and sunny.

Doing quite well with consonant count in Wales. The Ffestiniog Railway is quite well known among train enthusiasts. Ffestiniog means fastidious according to Google. Eryri means eagles in eryri-snowdonia. You're using patches from the patch kit that came with the mattress? If vinyl or not rubber needs special glue. I'm surprised at how well Krazy glue works from the $ store.

I know it’s too late for you guys, but I started carrying a folded hiking bed mat. One of those accordion folded orange mats. So when my blowup mattress fails, I don’t have to sleep on that horrible ground. It really helps when the terrain is rocky.

This was my last day of the TET Wales, unfortunately. A day earlier than planned. After hours of rain I was totally soaked. And than a campsite is not the best place to be. So, after the same route and the same weather as you both, I went back to my girlfriend. But I will come back, TET Wales is beautifull! And yeah, opening en closing the gates is better with two. And yeah, even a small GS is big on these tracks. When I come back, hopefully I have another, smaller bike. Since we met, you have a new follower. I like your style and humor! And especially when I see you doing the same stupid things that I do, I laugh out loud. I wish you lots of fun, Johan from the Netherlands.

Gorse is horrible, in Bandon Oregon gorse has caused the town to burn down twice in the past. They have a yearly gorse festival and it makes a tasty cheesecake!

Many British KZbinrs are discarding their Sleeping mats. Go to a store, find a good one and buy it. I bought a short self inflating Thermarest in 1982 and have used it since without any problems. I used it on my camping trip to Harz this summer on my SV650.
