And they shouldn’t be using their horn in this manner at all. Rule 112 of the Highway Code “Use only while your vehicle is moving and you need to warn other road users of your presence. Never sound your horn aggressively.” Honestly it doesn’t usually matter but when it’s at a learner like this they should really be fined. I don’t know what the fine would be but I’m thinking that a fine without points would be appropriate.

I live in India and have been driving here for a bit. When driving in Indian roads, your priorities are very different. You rarely pay attention to road markings and signs (which are rarely present). I have been watching a lot of UK based channels that do driving instruction and have always wondered how I would do if I were to drive there. This was very educational!
@jackie90902 жыл бұрын
what are the priorities in India? So, theres not a lot of road markings/signs at all??! I cant imagine that having been learning in the uk haha! i like learning differences like this, its interesting to me, so hope its ok to ask :)
@uk71532 жыл бұрын
@@jackie9090 it’s there, but it’s spotty and not consistent enough to rely on it exclusively. Also, other road users aren’t really using the road signs, so you put yourself at risk when you do so. For example, if I’m coming to stop at a red light, I have to be mindful of vehicles behind me even if I’m rolling to stop slowly because they may not expect me to stop at the actual stop line, its very common, in face expected of me to roll past it and creep to the edge of the junction (I know how it sounds, its exactly as ridiculous as it does sound). Defensive driving is the only way to survive, and driving predictably.

Enjoy these videos. Great instruction and advice. Unlucky with "no entry" because SatNav instruction misleading. With respect to incident at crossing I was wondering if this would be a dangerous fail even if there were no pedestrians because driver was not ready to stop - more advanced drivers would cover the brake in these type of situations (involving crossings and traffic lights) because being "prepared to stop" means the foot should move to cover brake and speed adjusted if necessary.
@ClearviewDriving2 жыл бұрын
Hey thank you for watching, With the no entry he should have been looking into the road as it was clear 😫 With the pedestrian crossing you always wanted to prepared to stop so his speed should have been slower to look on the left side and yes covering the brake would help but just been slower would have been the key

when he did the parallel reverse park & he added a full steering i thought what's he doing? NO NO NO! you don't have the space for full steer, adding just quarter or max half steering he would have had more time to get to the 45 degree angle, straighten up then reversed with a finally full lock, he would have ended up about 1 & half car lengths from the car in front & when the examiner says move off after the maneuver he would have plenty of space to see & move off safely...

I know what a zebra crossing is and what it is used for... however that woman wasn't paying attention either. Yes serious fault for the driver thats a given, no arguments there... but pedestrians need to STOP, LOOK and LISTEND even at a crossed and they need to stop assuming that just because it's a crossing that it is safe to go... Honestly if i did what that woman did I'd of been hit by 3/4 cars in my village alone because they just zoom straight past the crossing despite me hugging the curb because I'm about to cross there.. but because I don't make assumptions because I know that people who have passed don't care about the rules of the road I ALWAYS stop and wait for near by cars to react... Lets face it, not everyone is paying full attention and going to assume you want to cross, so lets work together on being safe and wait to make sure they have seen... a crossing doesn't mean "safe zone" it just means you have priority, you can still get hit by drivers who don't care or aren't paying attention.
@SimplySammyK2 жыл бұрын
I just want to point out the fact the kid paid more attention than the woman by the way. The kid stopped and the woman went to pull him, now had this not been a mock test and she stopped the car that woman on the crossing might have killed the boy and hurt herself for ASSUMING it was actually safe to cross.. again, priority doesn't = safe zone and as much as its SUPPOSED to be not all drivers care or pay attention, so be responsible for yourself and still be prepared to wait and look as a pedestrian.. the gods gave us brains for a reason, lets start using them yeah?

At 2:32 it says "signal necessary", however, there is another certain driving instructor on youtube called "Ashley Neal" and he says that you don't need to signal if there is no one immediately around to see it (signal serves no benefit). With all these contradictions from other driving instructors, how is the pupil meant to learn?
@iKaGe012 жыл бұрын
I also signal at roundabouts in the same way. Always signal left when leaving one. Seems this isn't a necessary step but I've always done it to assist other cars coming out on the next junction. Especially when the right signal is still on when leaving. This is a serious pet peeve of mine as it tells people around nothing.
