Kishimoto could have done so Much for Orochimaru and Kabuto. Kabuto especially is practically immune to genjutsu or at least this specific genjutsu since he can block out the rays as he explained to Itachi and Sasuke using the snakes cornea. When i saw Orochimaru under the infinite tsukuyomi i was gutted. I'm just hoping that he's got something planned, or he put something special in that curse mark he gave yamato. If not this will arguably one of the biggest villain let downs in a while. The main villain from part 1 is back stronger than ever and kishimoto wont do shit with him

There are two major plot holes/inconsistencies regarding the third hokage. First, like you said, he should have known Yamato as Tenzo or Kinoe. Second, all if the edo characters were revived in their prime (young/middle age) regardless of the actual age they were in when they died (take Madara and Hashirama for example), all except for Sarutobi Hiruzen, he was revived as the age as he died. It baffles me how Kishi could have overlooked these things.

On the translation that i read, Sasuke told naruto to "wait for the tree." This leads me to believe that the rays from the Infinite Tsukuyomi do not last forever. Once the tree comes or whatever, they should be able to move around as needed. I dont really see it going down the way ForNeverWorld describes. If they REALLY have to wait for the edo hokages to nullify the Infinite Tsukuyomi then realistically all hope is lost seeing as those 4 cant do anything to Madara at this point.

Also I just realized this, but just how Madara and Hashirama were originally incarnations of Indra and Ashura respectively, and just as Sasuke and Naruto are now, I believe the current Madara IS THE incarnation of Kaguya Otsutsuki. Sure he possesses the Rinnegan and is the Ten Tails jinchuuriki like So6P Hagoromo, however his ideals, goals, and current power level are equal, possibly even greater than Kaguya herself.

EverywhereDologenesis Never once since he absorbed the Shinju Tree have I seen a comment, topic, or anyone suggesting he is the actual INCARNATION of Kaguya himself. People said his power is comparable to/on the level of Kaguya, but no one as far as I know has outright stated that he is her incarnation. I believe that after his fight with Hashirama when he awakened the Rinnegan after many years and after he read the tablet, he ceased being the incarnation of Indra and instead became the incarnation of Kaguya, following her ideals.

He shouldn't be affected by it since he can block out Itachi's Genjutsu with his Reptilian/Dragon eye lids. But than again, if Eternal Tsukoyomi is like Izanami(which does not need direct eye contact to cast it), than Kabuto will fall as a victim too ET. But, didn't Jiraya say that Sage mode is not affected by Genjutsu or something like that...

When he said "I don't need this shed anymore" it must have been Yamato talking. It was a total WTF moment for me! I expected Yamato to be in the shed, but in some sort of unconscious state. The reason why those under the Susanoo are not affected I think is because Susanoo is pure darkness and it can't be penetrated by the "moonlight"(or whatever you wanna call it) in order to put them under the genjutsu, also I remember it being called the Ultimate Defense and Offense of Uchiha during the Kage meeting when Sasuke fought the raikage so that might be also a reason why it repels everything and since it's at the perfect Susanoo stage it probably has its benefits. Also, the reason I belive the 4 edo tensei kages are not under the genjutsu is because genjutsu is a mind control spell, and since they are edo tensei, they are alrdy under a mind control spell so the only way for them to be controlled is by Orochimaru who is under the Infinite Tsukuyomi effect alrdy and that can't happen so they are free to roam, even though Hasirama negated the control ability from Orochimaru anyway the same way Madara did with Kabuto. Btw Hiruzen Sarutobi was not wraped by the tree because edo tensei are corpses with artificial restricted unlimited chakra and the way the tree works is absorbing the very being of the target along with it's chakra that way you can't absorb the soul of something without a soul. Also the reason why the Hiruzen calls Spiral Zetsu as Yamato and not Tenzo I think is because he was never mentioned as Tenzo in the manga, only in the anime fillers sooo, if there are people that only read the manga and don't watch the series they would be like "Who the fuck is Tenzo, that's Yamato?!?!?!". What intrigues me very much about Yamato is the history behind Madara's approach to him, because according to the fillers, I don't see the moment of him serving Madara since he was always under Orochimaru and Danzo's gaze, and by the moment he Yamato met Kakashi, Obito was alrdy presumed dead and Obito met the Spiral Zetsu, and he was very tall compared to Obito, so he couldn't be a kid and a adult at the same time, the only explaination I can come up with is that the Yamato the Leaf Village knew was actually a drone clone made by the real and original Spiral Zetsu that gave the drone the ability to grow up as a normal living being, which sounds pretty less likely... I'm really looking forward for an answer to this question.

Kabuto is definitely gonna be a big role here. 1. He can shut off his eye sight. 2. He's good now. 3. They showed scenes of everyone being put into I.T... Everyone except Kabuto. 4. Since Kabuto was associates with Obito he most likely knows the jutsu. 5. Also Kishi is big on the idea of "the two people who started the war fighting for an end" so Kabuto vs Madara makes sense. 6. How badass would Kabuto, Sasuke, and Naruto be as a team. (Yeah I left Sakura out on purpose.)

Your theory is wrong. Kabuto can't shut off his eyesight anymore because when Sasuke summoned Orochimaru, Orochimaru took the Sage mode out of Kabuto.

No, you're wrong. Orochimaru isn't a sage. Kabuto said Orochimaru's body wasn't strong enough to enter Ryuchi's cave to train for sage mode. But Kabutos body was strong enough so he did what Orochimaru couldn't do and became a sage. mezican12

Incredible chapter!! You very rarely see a villain in any series obtain his ultimate goal, Madara Uchiha has done it. On top of that we get the confirmation of Yamato being in the zetsu, where Killer bee and Minato are etc. Madara truly is an amazing character. Not only activating infinite tsukuyomi but also using his world of trees jutsu to cover the world! Seems like the only things not effected by it are edo tensei and Sasuke's susanoo. Do you guys remember when Sauske and Itachi fought. When they fought Itachi had to force Sauske into a corner so he could get rid of the part of Orochimaru he had within him. Itachi had a sword that what ever it would pierce would be sealed away right, What if this sword was used in the fight, would it have any effect on Madrara? Would sauske have it? We really never knew what happened to it after he died.

I think they'll have to combine the Susanoo + Kyuubi Ver. 2 to destroy the moon. But being that everyone is "pugged in" they'll have to manually unplug everyone from the jutsu. My fear is that after Madara is defeated the tree will revert to its original "programming"; which is to get back it's precious stolen chakra. With people being attached to the tree, there would be nothing that could stop "The God Tree" from fulfilling its goal. Do you think if Madara is defeated or sealed will it be enough stop the tree or will it go into an automatic chakra suck defense mode and potentially kill everyone in the Shinobi world, thoughts?
