One thing about Light Fang is that I'm pretty sure Madara's limbo was constricting Naruto's movement which leaves him with lesser mobility and he didn't just dodge the beam but also the swing of Madara's neck. I want to start by saying, very well made video, great job collecting evidence, showing receipts, etc. It's well made and well put together, well researched, and I know that takes a lot of effort and I appreciate it when it's well done. I (politely) disagree with pretty much all the arguments :) but that's ok. Two things I want to mention: 1. There's a severe lack of appreciation, IMO, for what characters being light-speed would actually mean for the universe. iirc a golf ball hitting the earth at light speed generates about 1/6 of a Tsar Bomba's worth of energy; two fists moving at light speed, clashing, should be generating shockwaves that travel for dozens of miles, pulverizing, deafening, levelling structures, basically destroying anything remotely nearby, and we never see this happen. We also never explicitly see or hear anyone use the phrase "speed of light," outside of Heavenly Transmission (in the Manga). A big part of Kakashi's legend, his signature jutsu, derives from him supposedly being lightning speed - if a child could move at ~680,000,000mph, someone would have said something. It's an insane feat for anyone to pull off, it never once being mentioned really strains belief. I just don't get the incentive or the motivation to try to push Naruto characters to light speed in the first place, I guess. It doesn't really fit with the mechanics of the world we've been presented with, and the characters don't need to be moving this fast for the narrative or fights to be consistent or compelling. If you like, I can pick one of the arguments and go in depth, rather than just talking about broad strokes - I will gladly dispute the Water Fang Bullet thing, for instance. But as a general principle, no shade to you personally, it seems like the whole Light Speed conversation, like the Multiversal conversation, is a reach to try to drum up mild controversy to start debates, is that fair? 2. Minor feedback, I believe some of the music you use is used pretty frequently by other Naruto KZbinrs. Not that that has to stop you, but, there might be some room for you to expand and create your own brand musically, differentiate yourself a bit. Just a thought.

I guess I’m just wondering, specifically, do we have positive evidence (in the Manga) that Naruto actively uses those creative liberties with regards to FTL? I think it’s pretty consistently conveyed that more speed, more mass, and more chakra equate to more power; we see powerful strikes (e.g. jutsu clashes) creating shockwaves and explosions and destroying the environment, we even see characters create pressure blasts with sheer chakra power. And I think we as a community make a lot of (reasonable) assumptions about the rules of the universe; e.g. when Zetsu says Kirin is “faster than sound,” we all assume he means 343m/s, right? We don’t dispute whether sound propagates slower/faster in Naruto. Given how much effort Kishimoto and his team put into developing a grounded/hard magic system for Naruto, I do feel like it’s reasonable to assume that a character impacting something while moving at the speed of light should be expected to demonstrate massive effects on the environment. IMO it’s not just an appeal to reality, it’s an extrapolation of the established diegetic rules of the universe.

@@KingBullet123 Let me first respond by saying that, if we are indeed meant to take the databook statements literally, you’ve done a great case of compiling and representing those statements and the relevant arguments, so again, props for that. Hope you don’t mind a wall of text, it’s an interesting topic so I wanted to be detailed in my reply. I would like to try to paraphrase my concern once more. If Haku is LS, and Naruto grabs him, and we agree that f=ma applies in Naruto (which seems to be done often in power scaling), then the amount of force behind Naruto slamming his hand into Haku should be at least Biju Bomb level, right? If the water fang bullets are actually light speed, their impact with the water wall should vaporize or, at least, create a massive explosion, just based on their mass and acceleration. (Also, fwiw Narutoversity called Water Fang Bullet “lightning-fast”). And again, I know we don’t strictly have to apply real-world rules, but at 16:53 we’re using a reference to Nasa information about gravity waves, so, we are actively using real-world metrics to scale some of this stuff. (Also, worth noting at 17:00 that the waves themselves may travel that fast, but they would then transfer force/acceleration to the nail; the nail itself doesn’t necessarily move that fast) Physics doesn’t have to reflect the real world, here, but since speed/acceleration directly correlates to impact force, based on other statements and feats in Naruto, it would be diegetically consistent to see proportional effects, wouldn’t you agree? We could also try applying Occam’s Razor. Which is simplest and best fits the model, interpreting the databook statements non-literally, or the idea that children are capable of light-speed feats that have their own “unique rules?” For example, 12:18 if you go frame by frame, the shinobi’s clothing is animating up, then down as the beam projects, which extends over a few frames. If the beam is moving at light speed, would that mean that his clothing is also fluttering at light speed? Isn’t it neater and more consistent to suggest the ice disc is using sunlight to create a beam jutsu that is fast, but not literally light speed? In the same way that “laser guns” in sci-fi should travel at the speed of light if they’re actually lasers, but are often depicted as projectiles moving at around rifle bullet speed? Or, 13:11 wouldn’t it make more sense if he’s moving his arm as the projectile hits the ground, then it takes a moment before the flash goes off; does he have to be out-pacing the flash? To cap things off, my issue with Ethereal Transmission is that it’s implied that you need A4 level durability, or a Tsunade level healing jutsu, to survive it. That would mean that any character with sub-4A durability would be constantly taking damage whenever moving at light speed. Another complication to the model. And at 24:08, again, not like what you’re saying is stupid or anything, but it feels like you need to need to introduce an exception, Kakashi being conflicted and holding back, to justify the light-speed thing post-hoc. Ok, now for the long version… 😅

For example, light-speed movements could cause catastrophic events like creating black holes, vaporizing entire areas, or generating devastating shockwaves-all of which would derail the story and make it impossible to maintain the world-building within the series. As for the gravitational waves being light-speed, this makes sense within the context of the story because Pain, the user of these waves, is as fast as other characters who are consistently depicted as light-speed, like Itachi. By maintaining a consistent internal logic, the story remains engaging and focused on the characters and their abilities without being bogged down by the destructive consequences that real-world physics would entail. This allows the narrative to explore the exciting possibilities of high-speed combat without compromising the integrity of the fictional universe. So basically as science exists in the series I’ll use it however there’s certain concessions like repercussions we need to make as power scalers. Take destructive potency, authors don’t always want characters to destroy the planet with each punch. So Attack potency is a term us power scalers use to describe how powerful characters can still fight at full power without always having to destroy things on a large scale. SPEED IN FICTION WORKS THE SAME WAY. Hence Goku, The Flash or Superman don’t always vaporise the ground when moving at faster than light speeds.

I think the debunk using that feat is downplay. The reason I say that is because each show wants to keep things interesting, and characters blitzing around the map would lessen the stakes and make things less engaging. For example, if you knew Naruto could go from place to place in a second, you (the viewer) would not be worried that he might not reach someone in time, face travel challenges, or experience the journey that builds tension and excitement. The narrative would lose its depth and suspense, reducing the impact of the story's emotional and dramatic moments. It's important for characters to have limitations to keep the plot compelling and maintain a sense of adventure and uncertainty.

Honestly i think your suffering from having to rationalize the writers bad writing. Its clear they had no idea what the scope of the series power scaling be. My favorite example is Hiruzen. He has one the most boring fight where also named "God of Shinobi" Hiruzen showed no feats that are impressive compared to the end of the shippiden. I know hes old, but surely the most recently named God of Shinobi has something more impressive than shuriken tiles or basic firestyle jutsus. His summon could barely stop Orochi marus blade back. His reaper death seel is pretty cool but mostly retains its value due to its "hax" nature. The problem is this fight was created way too early in the series and they had no idea the series would with fighting aliens and having contental chakra blasts being thrown around like candy. If naruto was reallly light speed early in the series then he should have been able to compete with the raikage with no kcm cloak. Clearly at this point the writers really wanted naruto to be lightspeed. Maybe they used "lightspeed" before, but its clear they had no idea how this would conflict with KCM cloak

Sakura, speed and strength is HEAVILY downplayed by people. She's far stronger than Tsunade during the fight with Kaguya and has some of the best chakra control in Naruto. Not to mention with her release that amps her strength and speed multiple times over and makes her nearly un-killable. By Boruto she is even stronger than this most likely in her base form (read the LN's) and as for Kaguya punch, Sakura did in fact punch Kaguya on purpose and in the manga it shows that Kaguya was caught off guard by the punch, wouldn't call it a blitz but more like a well timed punch at the moment able to keep up with Kaguyas speed.

Kurotsuchi need to put a rock in her hand to do more damage on Momoshiki and she gets slams by by an onoki clone who was beaten by Boruto, Sarada and Kawaki, knowing that war arc Sakura surpassed all the five 5 kage by having better scaling than them. And Darui is rather useless without his sword and in taijutsu he himself admitted it in Boruto. The Only Kage who could beat Sakura is Gaara, because Gaara was able to react to fused Momoshiki's speed and catch him with his sand but Gaara durability is really weak. So I'm not sure especially that Sakura can regenerate, she was able to regenerate a huge part of her body in Sakura hidden and I would like to remind you that in Sakura hidden, Sakura was only 20 years old in Boruto she became even stronger and the fact that Sakura didn't go with the Kage and Naruto, Sasuke confront Momoshiki and Kinshiki it's because she had to treat all the injuries caused by Momoshiki in the chunin exam she is the best in this area it's one of the rules of the ninja doctor. So it's completely normal. Other than that she slams all the new kage era, only Gaara is a problem. But Sakura still beat him due to the fact she is more smarter she has better BIQ and she can summon Katsuyu and she can regenerate. And if she hits Gaara just once she's already won.

Chojuro claimed he was holding back against the new young ninja swordsmen. Contextually he was one. The whole narrative was he wanted to show them his blood so he literally let himself get cut. LoL. Kurotsuchi fought lord Ku who Onoki claimed had created to defeat threats like Kaguya. It’s also implied she had a mental blockage against him too due to the shock. We never saw the fight as well. Darui and the Kage were said by Momoshiki to have the highest level of general taijutsu, Kenjustu etc.

@@KingBullet123 Kurotsuchi, Darui and Chojuro doesn't have feats that who can clearly align their statements, bc their feats contradict their statements and unfortunately the feats will always be above the statements. Feats > Statements I am a big Naruto and Boruto fans but I sorry for this it doesn't make sense for this 3 kage to have the level of so6p or Otsutsuki because otherwise it would be bad power writing. It make sense only for Gaara. This clone of Onoki (lord ku) I had forgotten his name was created in the only goal to fight enemies of Kaguya's level but that's Onoki who says it, Onoki has never seen Kaguya and he knows nothing about Kaguya's power. He will never be able to create artificial beings at the level of Kaguya or stronger only Amado and Orochimaru can. Knowing that Ku was beaten by an Onoki who has aged much more and therefore become weaker. And Kurotsuchi couldn't defeat Ku. And teen Sakura in war arc outscale all the five kage cuz she has better, stronger scaling and feats than them. When Darui learns that only taijutsu is useful against Momoshiki he himself admits saying that he is not very good at taijutsu and then he does not have very good feats and scaling. Gaara helped him during the fight with his sand so he could reach Momoshiki cuz base Momoshiki was obviously too fast for him. Yes I forget that Chojoru was still holding back against theses genin but still lol he was getting injured by weak attack if he really was so6p level, low Otsutsuki level he will never be injured so badly by theses weak attack. Also Chojoru can't even keep up 5seconds against Kinshiki, without Kurotsuchi and Sasuke he would be dead in 5seconds and Sasuke saved both of Chojuro and Kurotsuchi by speedblitz Kinshiki and destroy Kinshiki red weapon. Sakura litteraly has better feats and scaling than all of this 3 kage. At 20 years old she can tank a tailed beasts bomb more powerful than that of Naruto in war arc and she could regenerate from it. She fought Shin Uchiha who was able to injure both Hokage Naruto and Adult rinnegan Sasuke. Shin could completely react to an attack from Adult Sasuke and grab his sword with the palm of his hand, Naruto due to his look was even worried about that. Also this is the same sword of Sasuke which can compete easily with Kinshiki's red weapon which can split planets easily. and Sakura one shot Shin Uchiha multiple times. She speedblitzed Shin who have no blind spots and she even almost killed Shin with a single punch when she was only in base + she was also sick. I think Sakura is really underrated.

what's wrong with that he is just stating the facts. he didn't even use the chakra speed calc of momoshiki and kaguya. for kaguya the feat of absorbing chakra form the Naruto planet to her own solar system would be 4,3x the speed of light(assuming that her solar system is as far as the closest star from our solar system(low ball)) .for momo seeing as he has a universe of his own it would take at least 93billion the speed of light to pull of that feat and adult naruto would scale to that in base with 50% of his chakra gone.(if you don't believe try debunk it and ill tell you why your wrong )

So probably kishimoto refers to city so it can be considered as mistranslation means Databooks are well defined so you have to understand every Databooks statements logically with some of knowledge of powerscaling.
