An inconsistency could just be sasuke’s wrist band is black in the manga, and blue in the anime. Not consistent, but doesn’t muddle the story/plot.

Yeah Naruto itself doesn't really have many plot holes if any, but the story doesn't feel consistent in the narrative it tells either. Stuff like kurama helping out Naruto later in the series isn't a plot hole but it is incredibly inconsistent with the tones the series had for the nine tail fox up to that point.

When in kazekage rescue arc Kakashi, Naruto, Sakura and Chiyo encounter Itachi who was using the weird jutsu on Yuura (Sasori's spy), where he possessed his body and his 30% chakra clone fights Naruto and Kakashi, Kakashi asks Itachi if using Mangekyo weakens his eyesight. After that Itachi says "Kakashi-san, you didn't...". We later learn what that means: Kakashi has unlocked the Mangekyo, which we see him use against Deidara. Now how could Kakashi know using Mangekyo Sharingan makes your eyesight worse? Of course by direct experience, since he doesn't have access to any other Mangekyo user. What Itachi inferred from his statement was that Kakashi unlocked Mangekyo (this was forshadowing to him using it). So we know it makes him go blind from before it's even shown.

Just because it isn't explained that doesn't make it a plot hole, if there are possibilities that would be consistent to the story then there's no hole in the plot, Kishimoto doesn't have to spell out everything in the series, a plot hole would be something that can't be explained and therefore makes no sense.

There’s a lot of retcons in here too because of it. Kurama doesn’t Die when Minato dies, kurama was SEALED inside the minato, who was also sealed inside the belly of the reaper. Bijuu also don’t die when their jinchuriki die, they “Die” or dissipate then reform later. This is what happened to isobu when rin died. If Bijuu actually died permanently with their jinchuriki’s death. Then wouldn’t isobu be dead and the entire eye of the moon plan be screwed

Kakashi says he's starting to lose his vision in that eye, after just using it really in the war Arc, because beforehand he'd barely used it, and then when Obito gets his 2nd eye back he abuses Kamui and doesn't go blind, so i think it's the Hashirama cells for sure.

Exactly. Especially that time frame of blindness. I get kamui and Amaterasu are different, and the latter could be more damaging to the eye, but sasuke went blind after just a couple months after heavy usage. Itachi went blind after 7 years but with less chakra reserves and the illness he wasn’t able to use his much more than once or twice a day if that, so decent usage. But obito was going strong ABUSING those eyes for a cool 17 years before he was killed. Didn’t even show any signs of slowing down

Think about how the strain Shisui’s Kotoamatsukami Mangekyo ability causes means he was apparently only able to cast it once every ten years per eye, but Danzo with his Hashirama cells was able to recover to the point he was able to cast it daily. And all Danzo had was his arm and shoulder implanted with Hashirama cells. Obito had half of his body made of pure Hashirama cells. No wonder he was able to spam it constantly with no consequences. The only time his eye ever even bled was when he used Kamui to follow Kaguya by tearing though her dimensional space, something Kamui wasn’t even ever intended for. Hashirama cells are freaking busted.

Obita had to use reanimations for his six paths otherwise he wouldn't be able to put the tailed beasts in them, normal dead bodies wouldn't work + reanimations are drastically stronger, with immortal bodies and infinite Chakra(meaning obito wouldn't need to run his own Chakra through their entire bodies to control all their movements like Nagano does) in other words, they're way stronger, more convenient and also keep all the abilities and skills of their previous life....so if anything him using reanimations is actually brilliant writing

4:02 There is an actual explanation for this. For context, the age requirement to take the genin exams was made to be 11. The academy has two graduation exams in a year. One in Fall, and one in Summer. We can assume that since Naruto's birthday is October 10th, after turning 11 he took the Fall exam once in November, took the Summer exam once in August, and then took the Fall exam again in November after he turned 12. This means that he graduated during the Summer Exam in August. This is also affirmed by the fact that in the Anime and Manga, there is clear summer scenery.

However after they made the age requirement 12. All that being said, Naruto failing the exams 3 times is an inconsistency in the story.

Kakashi's eye can teleport things at short range. Like when he teleported the nail pain shot at him. Obito's eye is inconsistent, sometimes he can teleport people who are just standing near him like Sakura and one of Danzo's guards. Other times he has to touch the person to teleport them.

By the time of the war he stated he was starting to go blind. It doesn't make sense for 1 MS ability to be fine for 16 + years with it never showing signs of blindness and the other to suffer under very little usage over the course of year. It makes more sense that it is that fact that half of Obito's body is made from Hashirama cells (The same stuff that let Danzo be able to use 10 Sharingan at once).

Simple plausible explanation is that he didn’t know where it was until he was too weak to make the journey and Sasuke “killed” him before he got the chance to retrieve it. Another thing ppl say is a plot hole that isn’t is edo tensei Minato using sage mode even though he said he was trash at it. It makes sense because he is an edo tensei. How does one achieve sage mode? By balancing Natural energy/chakra with their own base chakra. The more base chakra you have the more natural energy you can take in and the easier it is to balance. Well, an edo tensei literally has infinite chakra, so it is pretty reasonable that Minato couldn’t maintain that balance when alive, but was able to as an edo tensei. Do you want more?? 😂

On the Lee passing the academy exam, we see a flashback in the war arc to Kakashi's father telling him that they haven't announced alternates yet (at least that is what the sub says). This means that shinobi who fail the exam can still get into the academy if they show enough promise. Lee could have gotten in that way with some help form Guy, especially if Guy said that he would take Lee under his wing

When Yamato is freed from Guruguru after the Infinite Tsukuyomi is activated, Hiruzen calls him Yamato. Yamato was the name Tsunade gave him. Hiruzen should only know him by the name "Tenzo". You could say something dumb like "oh, Orochimaru told him while running to the battlefield," but that doesn't make much logical sense for something that Orochimaru would do. There is also the line at the end of Part 1 about how "Orochimaru left the Akatsuki 7 years ago." That's contradicted by future information where Itachi and Orochimaru were in the Akatsuki at the same time. Itachi wasn't in the Akatsuki 7 years before Part 1. He was still a Leaf Shinobi.

They'd also have to take into account the travel time based on distance for each unique uchiha. Which would mean they have to sync every single return time together perfect on the date selected to begin the killing. All this while accounting for any possible issues these Uchiha might face that would prevent them from coming back during the stated time (example running into an enemy on the return trip). 2) Ninja's get caught and held prisoner all the time. Its illogical to believe that Uchihas would not be in prison in other parts of the land. How'd they get expedited to the village? 3) Not all Uchihas tolerated living in the leaf and much like any other clan are not bound to live solely in the leaf. Reading through the clan history, unlike the Hyuga, they weren't restricted in who they married. It is therefore illogical to conclude that there would not be other Uchiha that are not affiliated with the leaf based on bearing children with non Uchiha and living in other remote parts of the land(s). - In effect if you have to begin with "Well you could say" or make a "guess" or "Infer" on something that happened, then it thereby is something that isnt explained enough which would therefore be a plothole. What i gave were all just "plausible" outcomes. If something isnt explained enough to prevent random interpretation of the events that transpired then it is a plothole.

The thing about Shonen is that its kind of like the equivalent of a popcorn action movie in America. Its not meant to be some high brow wine tipping art, so you obviously have to judge it differently. The writing is generally more simplistic and meant for younger audiences. But the bad consequence of that is, Shonen tends to attract A LOT of children who don't understand writing that well, or very very stupid people. So when something of actual nuance does happen in a Shonen, these people talk shit but they really just don't have the maturity or the intelligence to grasp it. I agree with the kamui thing. Kakashi did essentially use his kamui on himself. Not necessarily in the exact same way how obito goes intangible, but he did use it to teleport himself into kamui dimension. If the whole point of each eye is for one to be long range and the other to be for yourself, then he shouldn’t be able to do that. I feel like with a lot of the community tries to defend the plot holes when they are plot holes. Not talking about the ones in this video because like 90% of them are nitpicks, not plot holes, or just writing issues. But the one with deidara is obviously a plot hole. There was no body or blood left as deidara exploded he wiped out the whole area around him there’s no way there could be blood or hair or anything he exploded into nothingness. And kabuto couldn’t have had his cells already as if he did that means he and orochimaru had been collecting cells for a while which we know isn’t true as they would have had jiriyas cells then as Jiriya had tracked and fought orochimaru for years. They also fought in the tsunade search arc where orochimaru literally bite Jiriya on the neck meaning he’d have his dna and cells all in and around his mouth. And since jiriya wasn’t reanimated we know they didn’t have his cells. Meaning they weren’t collecting. And saying kabuto just randomly found a piece of deidaras hair near the hideout is just straight 100% unreasonable headcannon.

But they're not plot hole in the first place. If the writer establishes a rule in the story and the story becomes inconsistent with the rule then it is a plot hole. Most of the examples are just lack of explanation by the writers.

wouldn't that make the decay faster not slower? it's explained that kakashi, or non uchihas in general, are drained much fast by sharingans, simple because they can't turn them off. so adding a second one would make it wayyyy worse. not only could he never turn it off, he couldnt even cover one to use his normal eye like he usually would.

@@muppymup3962 kakashi has one eye that’s running on half power so the decay would be half was what I was getting at. Each time he uses kamui it’s only half as strong/fast as it’s actually meant to be. So it’s only putting half the strain on the eye. So he should be able to use it twice as much. That’s my theory at least. We know they drain non uchiha’s chakra more but we don’t necessarily know if the eye themselves decay faster in non uchiha. Also, it’s the use of the mangekyou abilities specifically that causes decay so it doesn’t really matter if they can’t be turned off because it’s a base sharingan.

Easiest one to nake is sasuke, ametserasu in one eye, flame control in the other. So its not like having half of kamui. I think the specific was that obito has short ranged kamui and kakashi has the long range.

If his eyes can track things faster since theyre 2 sharingan working together, it would make sense for him to be faster with his kamui just as a side effect

Missed a few things. The Uchiha clan had a meeting and was planning on overthrowing Konoha very soon, hence why there were all home. Also the biju do not die with their host, or the 3 tails would be dead with Rin. Their chakra disperses and takes a long time to recoalesce, would just be inconvenient for Kurama. Another one is that Obito DID have MS when he controlled the 9 tails. He and Kakashi both unlocked it when Rin died. Also Madara didn't use a clone for his fake death, it was his real body but he used Izanagi to make it so he didn't die, likely having cast it in advance. Very fun vid!

Yeah I would say a handful of these are definitely plot holes. A plot hole is an occurrence that directly contradicts something earlier in the story or set rules in the verse. Saying “maybe they just didn’t want to / didn’t know” / theorizing a hypothetical reason that could explain it doesn’t mean it isn’t a plot hole lol. Obito could use short range Kamui for moving around because he had no risk in abusing Kamui due to Hashirama's cells. The reason why Kakashi never did it before the war was because he had the risk of dying due to chakra deficiency and blindness due to overuse, as he doesn't have any Hashirama's cells, nor was he an Uchiha who could transplant another Uchiha's eyes into his own eye socket for EMS. Also, his Kamui & Sharingan Abilities consume more amount of chakra due to the same reason why he can't get EMS. Which is why he never used the Kamui in the same way as how Obito would use it. He would only use it for an offensive or a defensive move, in a decisive way. Otherwise it would just be a waste of Chakra.

He literally states that just because something isn't shown, it doesn't inherently make it a plot hole. It just means that it's a mystery. Some mysteries can be the result of bad writing, for sure. 3:20 Not actually the reason why. This is something that was went over in Might Guy's backstory in Shippuden; Lee was able to pass the exam because there's a separate Genin Exam that's physical only. You can pass he Genin Exams while having no jutsu as long as you're physically WAY ahead of everyone else, which is how both Guy and Lee passed.

Also at 12:00 the reason would be the chakra rods. The Chakra Rods are extremely taxing to use and destructive to the body, it was why Nagato was so fucked up when Naruto found him. Reanimating is just better than having to use the Chakra Rods.
