To be fair, naruto won the match when he tricked kiba into punching akamaru. Even without the fart, Naruto would still built up his chakra and solo Kiba. Kiba hits like a girl, and was getting tired by attacking so much. You guys never watched boxing? Ali took a lot of damage, but managed to tire foreman after foreman attacked like a fool for ages, then finessed him. Naruto had better stamina, more chakra and a better strategy.

@@diddlypoop He received a haymaker, four body hits and a head smash into the ground in close succession. Naruto is a tank. He is shown to be resilient. From training sessions and other fights. Had his clones fight eachother for hours. Then he could still stand up. Fought for a day constantly. Fought and won over Sasuke twice. In the tree climbing exercise he did it longer than Sasuke and sakura combined. He was sent flying by Zabuza. Got worse hits from Jiraya. He is close to Choji and Lee. Heck, Lee is the only guy who can keep up with him in training. Kiba is a glass cannon. The guy in the main comment is right. Stamina and resilience matter more. Precision and strategy even more. Kiba wasted his time and strength. Had one move he practiced to use and never took the time to cover for the weaknes. Your plans matter little in contact with the enemy.

@@diddlypoop Yes. Consistency. He was shown before and after. From his original training regime, to the wave, to the second stage, to this, to Neji, to his Jiriya training, to the Sasuke fight. That is how he fights. He is constant. Plot armor is when the plot bends to protect a character (the Sasuke vs Deidara finisher). If a show has a internal consistency, that is not plot armor. This is in the first third of the show. Of course most examples are later.You can't say that is plot armor that Shikamaru plans. Even Hinata, in this episodes, shown us a flashback where Naruto trained to exhaustion. He lacks the skills because he had no teacher, but he is resilient and smart. Naruto is a tank. He is also unpredictable and an incredible combat strategist and emotional capable. Naruto here was nerfed, but he was shown that he is capable of whitstanding high damage and pressure all the time. In the wave he fought with his body as a pin cushion. In the Jiraiya training, he fought, with his own strength, for hours against himself. Hundreds of clones fighthing each other. Against Gaara he took hit after hit. He only used the fox's chackra when he needed Gamabunta. Flashback after flashback of him going up. Those are events that happened before the current moment. The head is the part people target to ko others. Namely to rattle the brain. Kiba took the same proportional level of damage, to the head. It was brutal. Even if the body shots were not as strong, he was sent flying and crashing head first into the ground. Head down by Naruto crashing his foot in the head.

@@diddlypoop At this point the only instance of someone taking down Naruto in one hit would be Orochimaru by sealing the fox. As in messing with the container seal. From Orochimaru. Kaiba is not even in the same country as Orochimaru. Zabuza did more damage. He was launched the same. Choji was taken down not by damage, but by attacking the brain with soundwaves. Lee had his foot crushed and even then the amount of pressure he was in was high than what Kiba could output. Both are similar to Naruto. Close combat tanks, that are dangerous if they land. Every story has a plot. The thing is that the plot must have internal consistency. If Naruto is shown to take a lot of damage and still move, then that is part of him.
