Sasuke said all that stuff of being alone , yet that last chidori had itachi's support , meaning he subconsciously wanted emotional support from someone , and his brother was the closest person to him in his mind at that point , meaning everyone was seeing this battle in the afterlife and everyone was supporting Naruto, itachi supported both Sasuke and Naruto , Naruto to redeem Sasuke , and Sasuke to let his brother know that no matter what he do as a brother he would support him always , even Sasuke himself can't get rid of people's feeling

actually, in the canon novels and filler itachi say he visited lord 3 and danzo espcially danzo to let him know his was still around actually i believe the arc itachi vs sasuke he says or its stated in og naruto the first time looks for naruto its acually wasnt the reaosn he was there it was to talk to lord 3rd or danzo and like itachi said he was wrong he never said his plans was the best the said that in his war arc farewell episode he should comminated with sasuke and he could haved changed him itachi was a guy who hated viloence so fightinh aka madara is off the table and plus hes not winning itachi said he was selfish and didn't think about sasuke feeling he was trying to stop a war that couldnt have been stopped

Keeping his identity secret, and if he was able to use his susano'o or sharingan, and rinnegan abilities than jiriyah would find out who he really is, and including kid Naruto.
