Hahahaha!!!!!!!! So, here it is, my favorite performance EVER on the old Porter Wagoner Show!! In the TV show, during the applause, we get to see Porter's reaction. He's absolutely speechless. He knew that MAGIC had happened on his stage. Thanks for posting this amazing song. I just don't understand why Narvel Felts wasn't absolutely huge in country music.

Narvel has a great voice , I remember listening to his music. As a kid growing up in a small rural area of Oklahoma this was the music we listened to on Saturday nights and in the evenings after chores were done. Listened on a transistor philco... LOL.. Those were the times that bring comfort to me , living in today's world is so much harder than it was back in then. God bless all. ✝ Stay Strong and have no fear. LONG LIVE OUR REPUBLIC AND FREEDOM !!

Absolutely the most talented singer to ever be heard on radio. As a young man the best and although as George and Alan sang about murder in country music, the radio doesnt play him as a older perform, he still as a senior citizen can sing circles around even the great singers. When younger country fans hear me playing this they are mesmerized. His vocals should be inducted into the Smithsonian as works of Art!!!

Gross over-exaggeration. Off the top of my head, Lefty Frizzell, George Jones, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Hoyt Axton, Hank Jr., Dick Curless, Gene Watson and Marty Robbins were all better singers. And probably a whole bunch more. Nobody remembers Narvel Felts today, which it stands to reason they would have done if there was anything exceptional about him.

Really awesome song and so is Narvel! It didn't sound like he had his own band with him that day, DRIFT AWAY didn't sound as good as his studio recording, the band playing with Narvel couldn't seem to keep up with him and it really showed on his face that he wasn't too pleased! Oh well, interesting video anyway, thanks for posting!👍
