Name another mc that reached "God" status with their FIRST album! This album without a doubt is pure perfection. Nas is a genius. And the fact that he dropped out of the 9th grade and educated himself shows the true power of his drive and intellect. I still get goosebumps listening to One Love. The beat, the chorus by Q-Tip and the metaphors were by far a perfect 10! Favorite track of all time.

Despite the bowdlerization, this is an awesome time capsule, and straight poetry. The storytelling is so vivid: you can feel the ties the characters have, the way time passes quickly in prison, and the high stakes of these simple letters and conversations.
