Great stream guys! I felt like Jack was a bit unnecessarily brutal to Kevin. Having been a fan for 6+ years, he’s become one of my favourite members of your team. I really hope that was a joke - be excellent to your colleagues, Jack!

up close the thermal protection system looks weird, but from a distance the thermal protection system kind of looks gold. which is kind of nice

I completely disagree with Jack on the shuttle. A spacecraft doesn't need to be idiot proof It needs to not be operated by idiots. The shuttle was amazing for what it was and still we don't have anywhere near the capability that they had while it was flying until Starship gets fully operational It was a management issue

💯👍👍
@EaglePicking5 сағат бұрын
Capability, sure, but at what cost? The shuttle was an amazing feat of engineering, but it had major flaws of which the most important was probably the heat shield maintenance.

The shuttle was launched in the cold because Ronald Reagan wanted to see it launch soon. Trying to impress the boss.

In a sense, Shuttle launched in the cold because an engineer was convinced that backing down was necessary to his employment and possibly career. The work culture was toxic.
