Μartinsville 2013. Jeff Gordon pits and he'd come out P4 but D'Hondt tells him to slow down, putting him P5 and into the inside. One of the calls that won him the race that day

Dale Earnhardt saying that Jeff Gordon was going to wreck in Turns 3 and 4 at Michigan in mid-1990's because it had started to sprinkle. Sure enough Jeff goes into Turn 3 and it loops around into the wall, and all Earnhardt had to say was, "I told you." If anything Chad Knaus is responsible for all the NASCAR High IQ moments. He didn't talk much, all you had to do was observe.
@jasonwiggins61372 жыл бұрын
I'll vote for Bill Simpson telling Earnhardt that if he didn't get new lap belts and mount them further up in the car that they would tear, which they did and he died from it. Chad Knaus was taught by Ray Evernham. He wouldn't be anything without him, just check out Chad's career prior to coming to Rick Hendrick. He was average at best.

Hey KKB, as a newer Nascar fan, I absolutely love your videos. But also because I'm knew (like a year or two in), in many of your compilations, I dont understand all of the rules or nuance that make many of these moves great or who's who in the feuds or sometimes even just what number car is doing the move or being aggressive, etc. It would be nice if you could somehow put some text at the beginning of each clip briefly explaining what's going on. Like "Number 18, Kyle Busch speeds up in pit to overtake harvick while preventing a speeding penalty" or smth along those lines. It doesn't even have to be in the video, it can be in the description with a timestamp. I just find myself lost sometimes in your videos and wanna understand more cause they're really entertaining. Love the work and keep it up man.

2007 Pep Boys Auto Parts 500 the restart was going to be a 2 or 3 lap shootout and the top 4 - Truex, Kurt Busch, Kenseth, and Kyle Busch all took 4 tires. Jimmie Johnson was 5th and Chad Knaus took 2 ended up behind Hamlin in 2nd passed him after Hamlin ran out of gas and started that 1st wacky restart. Then Johnson led the final restart where Jr had a loose lug nut and destroyed him and McMurray between 1&2. Johnson ended up winning his 8th race of the year. 2014 Pure Michigan 400 Joey Logano has some questionable deep in the restart zone restarts all day and Jeff Gordon on the final one finally cracked the code and won the race.

1994, Bristol, Nationwide (Busch, Xfinity, Yada Yada) series race. The caution came out with two laps remaining (before the green white checkers era) with Mark Martin leading.
