I was hoping you would have SVG on the show after this win. He is so comfortable talking with you guys, it's like we are watching SVG and his mates discussing the racing. Thanks for allowing us to sit in on these conversations!

@@ohnarra~ Exactly! It comes down to driver skills when it’s all said & done. It’s cool seeing SVG tearing it up 🏁 I wish a handful of Canadian drivers could get a chance down in the States such as Kyle Steckly-Cayden & Treyton Lapcevich-J.R. Fitzpatrick etc.

Watched SVG race everything under the sun since 2007, he is a once in a generation driver. Too tall for F1 but would have being amazing at that too. If it has wheels, he can tame it. He was a magician in all the cars he has ever driven and is always there or thereabouts. He just knows one thing and that’s driving. People know him mostly for Supercars but forget that he drives, Le Mans, rally, drift, formula ford, go cart, touring, gt3, GT, sprint cars, motorbikes, he is just a born racer and during a year between races he would travel the world for wildcard starts and do very well. (Like Chicago)

Shane's racing IQ is off the charts. You don't hear any other driver explain what to do if the car is not performing. What needs to be changed to get more speed. How to win a race with not having the fastest on track. SVG Fan NZ

Nah, you guys are a bit misled when it comes to the two Aussies that were racing in this race on the weekend. Both Will Brown and Cam Waters in the number 60 were just outside the top 10 when they were taken out of the race by mechanical issues that weren’t their fault. In fact Cam Waters was on the same strategy as Chris Buscher and was matching him so the crew chief said he would’ve been in second at the end of the race if his car hadn’t been wrecked by Josh Berry going bowling down the inside of everybody at turn 11 and smashing into him. Wil Browns dashboard caught on fire because of an electrical short when was in 10th place, so he had to switch the car off in case it spread to the rest of the car. By the time they got it sorted he was 4 laps down but at the end of the race was the fastest on track. Hopefully these guys get another chance to come back because they were very quick.

Now for those that watch Supercars, I have to ask what is the rule on stuff like moving a driver out of the way to advance position? In NASCAR most of the time there is no penalty for that.
@wildeturkey20067 ай бұрын
That’s called a “bump and run” in Supercars and if you do it and gain a position expect a time penalty or a drive through. You can rub guards in Supercars, but you can’t bump out of the way. Especially if you aren’t far enough down to the a pillar. If you are far enough down, like Sanoma on the weekend, you do have the inside line, however in Supercars Shane would need to have had control of the car, the stewards would look at the telemetry of the car and see there was a brake lock or the car was sliding and that caused the other car to be disadvantaged. So in short that move would have been penalised. If however Shane was in full control and it was minor contact and got through it would have been fine. But that wasn’t minor in the eyes of Supercars

SVG reminds me of the old cartoon TV character Casey Jones driving his train full steam ahead "wooo wooo" He could be like the driver of a Sante Fe Express coming across Austin Hill stalled across the railroad crossing and just blowing his horn and saying "coming though" when he can't be stopped or slowed when someone just gets in your way due to their own error.
