I saw that entire season and yes it was an epic year for the racing competition. 2002-2006 was also lights out good. Except 2004 though when Kurt Busch won the Mickey.

@@oscarjimenezsr.716 I believe it might have been the 1994 Daytona 500......but Marlin (in the Kodak car) and Earnhardt were coming out of turn 2 and Marlin was underneath Dale coming out of the car. Dale then tried to "squeeze" Marlin down low.......an identical image of what would happen 7 years later in Dale's fatal crash. Dale had a tactic called "squeezing" when someone had their fender underneath him at speedways. It was merely a way to defend against side draft and to cause the other car to get uncomfortably close to the apron. I will find the exact lap......

They really glossed over the fact that Penske teammates took themselves out. They never liked each other anyway and I'm sure Mayfield knew he was being replaced when rumors swirled back in 2000 that Ryan Newman was coming for his seat. I wonder if Mayfield wrecked the points leader on purpose to spite Penske like he did at Everham when he wrecked his own car at the Brickyard 400 🤔

Bloody Oath. Why they decided to make it like Texas and Charlotte I have no idea. Too many of the same exact track. Didn’t mind the flatter 1.5 Mile tracks. Made Handling more of an issue.

Rockingham, the race gets rained out and continued on Monday... Dale said, "yeah, I know y'all gotta go racing, but y'all are gonna take a day to remember me." Las Vegas, the caution comes out just before the third lap... Dale: "yeah, we're just gonna slow it down here right quick. Remember!"
