Relive the 2004 Ford 400 from Homestead-Miami Speedway that saw Kurt Busch come dangerously close to loosing the NASCAR Cup Series championship after a wheel broke off of his car during the race.
Busch's teammate, Greg Biffle, went on to win the race in what is one of Jack Roush's top team moments.

Fun fact: This is the final NASCAR Cup Series race that was broadcasted in SD. Every single Cup event since the 2005 Clash (then Shootout) has been mostly in HD. Just a little fact I thought was cool enough to pass out when nobody was thinking about it lol

I even said that over a year ago ICYMI 😅. This race was also shot in 16:9, but NASCAR, unfortunately has the 4:3 version, so that’s why I’m watching the 16:9 version instead.

And NASCAR, unfortunately, will never give us anymore races from 2003 through July 2008 in 16:9 besides the 2005 Daytona 500 🙃

@@anthonydeloreto3881 I think that may be because those races were recorded on 4:3 tvs, maybe some tape traders handed some of their stuff over to NASCAR for upscaling. Then yet again there is some 16:9 footage of races like Dover from '05 that are in compilations from this channel, that aren't in the full length upload that was published last year. Idk. Kinda weird lol

I was just thinking earlier today (1/13/21) about when a new replay would show up and the first thing I come across is this and it really did make me so happy. I started watching NASCAR in 2005 so its a good thing that you put these races up that was before 2005 and to rewatch races that I have seen since ive started watching brings back so many memories plus the ones that I did miss unfortunately, you never fail me with these uploads. Again as always, thank you so much for these videos

lol this was NEVER broadcasted in HD. i had to look it up to make sure, but this was the last nascar race done in 480p. they showed the 500 in HD but not the rest of their end of that season for some reason.

@anthonydeloreto3881 4 жыл бұрын
@@xSoccerxCorex actually, the 2004 Chevy Rock & Roll 400 at Richmond was televised in 16:9 HD. So there were two HD races in 2004 (Daytona 500) & other selective 16:9 footage races that same year, with most of them in SD. Though I might be wrong since all of the NASCAR on Fox races in 2004 were shot in 16:9 widescreen while it’s unknown how many NASCAR on NBC/TNT races were in 16:9 since the well known ones are the Daytona 500, Brickyard 400, Richmond cut off race, & possibly all of the 10 playoff races since NASCAR showed some 16:9 footage of the 2004 post-season races when they were highlighting Jimmie Johnson’s playoff wins.

@@xSoccerxCorex false. NASCAR on Fox went HD full-time in 2005. Fox sports in 2003 & 2004 had a widescreen feed channel to those who had widescreen TVs back then. Also NASCAR on TNT did in fact televised that Richmond cut off race in HD back in 2004.
