As the hours tick by I realize something that ups the insanity of this move further. Ross, having seen the pain and lasting damage the Next Gen has caused with drivers like Kurt/Bowman/Reddick and more, knowing in the back of his mind that he could very well catch an access gate ala Mike Harmon at Bristol, factors that could terminate his racing career if things didn't play out...and yet he still went for it taking a gamble on a maneuver he used in a 17 year old video game Dude lives for the moment and it may soon crown him champion

Actually I’m not sure the access gate is an issue here. The safer barrier encompasses 100% of the track and I believe it also covers the access gate. I’ve been watching clips to see where it is and as far as I can tell you cannot reach the access gate when the walls are in race configuration with the safer barriers

Greatest move I've ever seen in more than 15 years of watching racing, puts what Carl Edwards tried to do at Kansas in '08 to shame. And not only did he get all the points he needed, he nipped him at the line straight up.
