I was just there at Five Daughters Donuts last week...had the cinnamon crispy crunch and it was absolutely delicious!!!! I'm glad I didn't have any more as I would have been in a sugar coma! Highly recommend the Uber ride down there, as they are south of downtown. Went to Hattie B's, too. Had the "hot" level and it was ok. Glad I tried it. Their potato salad and peach cobbler is great, too. Peg Leg Porker and Martin's BBQ joint are the two best for BBQ.

Nashville used to have Arnold's Country Kitchen which was the best, sadly it closed months back. Also Boltons has some great hot chicken and catfish.

Hey! I totally disagree with you about Holy donuts. You did confess that you went there late in the day and they were running out of stuff. We were there around 10 AM and had the best donuts ever. Hot, crispy on the outside, and absolutely delicious! I highly recommend you give them another try the next time you are in Maine. Hey but thanks for the heads up on five daughters donuts in Nashville. We will check them out and see if we agree with you.😂
