Nashville Superspeedway

Nashville Superspeedway was built in 2001 and closed in 2011 to all competitive events, but has been used for driving schools and GT Academy. It is a concrete oval track 1​1⁄3 miles long. It was the longest concrete oval in NASCAR during the time it was on the NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series circuits.
UPDATE:
Nashville Superspeedway is slated to reopen in 2021 and would host a NASCAR Cup Series race, with a tentative date of Sunday, June 20.

Hey I'm a drone pilot, just curious if you got permission to fly here, or if its allowed. On the dji map it was an enhanced warning zone and I could have flown if I assumed liability or whatever but I was kinda scared to so i didnt

@@extremeaustin I didn't get any warnings on the dji map when I was flying. I didn't get permissions. I believe you only can't fly when there is an event at stadiums.

My ideal schedule would be something like: 30 rounds and only repeat Bristol, Martinsville, Daytona and Talladega. Rest of the tracks only get ONE race per layout (Charlotte and Charlotte Roval are 2 layouts).

I’d recommend watching an old Truck or Busch/Nationwide/Xfinity race here. It’s definitely one of the better intermediate tracks.

It’s back next year! Hopefully for more than just the 4 years the contract is for. I’ve heard the track is essentially being used to test the Nashville market to see if it’s viable, then SMI will put the necessary money into making the Fairgrounds Cup ready. But hopefully in the event that happens and Cup does go to the Fairgrounds they’ll either have another race here or they’ll put Xfinity and Trucks back here at least

I live near the track and have driven by it so many times wondering if it would ever reopen. It's been used as a parking lot for new Nissan cars for awhile now.

It’s another 1.3 mile track. Which is a boring race. Located off interstate 840 between Mufreesboro and Lebanon. They want to race at the old downtown Nashville Fairgrounds. But nobody trust Nascar anymore in Nashville. So the city isn’t going to invest millions of taxpayers dollars then watch nascar dump our track again. Let nascar or private investors pay 100% of all repairs or improvements to both the Fairgrounds & the Rutherford county track . And it’s a concrete track. Dale jr said he knew as soon as he heard it was a concrete track in 2001. He knew nascar would never race there. Everything is upside down in 2020. Lol
