If you haven’t dehydrated nasturtium for a seasoning, you are missing out. I made a nasturtium blend with dehydrated garlic and a little Redman’s salt. So delicious on eggs, fish and potatoes.

I grew the Peach Melba nasturtium last year. The flowers were so pretty. They tasted to me a bit like wasabi. I will be growing nasturtiums every year now, because they are good at trapping insects like aphids and beetles. Insects love to eat this plant more than the vegetables in my garden.

I grow Nasturtiums every year, but only like the taste of the flowers - not the spicy leaves. One benefit is deer don’t eat them so I relocated my hosta and plant nasturtiums for front walk summer flowers.

I laughed out load when you said it was easy… it took me three years, three different attempts to get them to grow from seed. 🤦♀️🤷♀️🤣 The good Lord only knows what I was doing wrong until last year, lol!

Oh, I LOVE nasturtiums. Here, in North Texas, they need the slightest bit of shade in the worst of summer but otherwise they do well. I put a bunch in my greenstalk too. Since they're nitrogen fixers, they'll improve my greenstalk soil as I harvest the leaves.

Why can't I grow nasturtium? 😢 I've been trying for like 3 years. This will be the last time I attempt because this video is giving me hope. I've been planting them in my raised beds, which I believe are too rich. I read a comment somewhere that they do well in poor soils. So, I will try one more time and plant them outside of my raised bed, in the ground soil near them.

I learned about nasturtiums over 65 years ago from my mother who loved to plant them every summer. They were always light to dark orange, it seems the only colors available back them, and I only knew about vining ones, but I loved them too as a child. Now the varieties are stunning and I like to try new ones all the time. Yes, go for it. They are super easy.
@kileyfelch4944 Жыл бұрын
I believe that they are also a good host plant for aphids so if you have crops your trying to save from aphids, planting a crop of nasturtiums nearby is an easy organic way to save your plants 😊

A couple weeks ago I planted nasturtiums for the first time in a long time. No starting, just stuck them in the ground. Here in Southern California, they grow and return every year like weeds. Basically I pull them out of the flower beds where I don't want them growing. But this year I was tired of the same old colors, so I sowed several packets of various types/shades willy nilly around the garden. It will be fun to see what I get, and how each of them tastes.

I usually watch the commercials to help support content creators until the last few days. I keep getting hit with 16,13,7,5,3,2 minute commercials. It wouldn’t be so bad if it were things I’d buy or use but how many of you play violent video games or use Dior fashion. Can anyone tell me how long I have to watch for content creators to get paid? I would watch 30 seconds to a minute but I just can’t watch 16+ minutes for a 20 minute video. The math just doesn’t work
