Nat is a glorious human being, his existence makes this world a better place for the rest of us.

Thanks for sharing your story, Nat. It's like we're all messed up, dealing with our mental health yet all walking around as if everything is fine. It's ok to not be fine, especially after the last few years.
@BradGryphonn2 жыл бұрын
I'm near 59. I was diagnosed lazily with depression and anxiety many years ago. Recently, after finding a Doctor that actually wanted to hear me, I was diagnosed with PTSD. While that diagnosis has explained a lot, I am still not good. I feel this man's frustration and pain (and have followed him for a long time). The reason I am fucked up is due to different circumstances, but that anxiety, frustration, and feeling of hopelessness runs through all of us with Mental Health issues. And there are a LOT of us. The stigma around mental health is still a thing in 'normal' society. It hasn't changed much in the past 40 years. I'm glad that people like Nat have the exposure to bring these issues to light. Much the same as I am humbled by the strength of Grace tame for bringing more attention to childhood sexual abuse, one of the causes of my mental health issues. I only wish that I had been strong enough to expose my abusers when I was a child. But they were different times. Anything a child suffered at the hands of an adult was apparently our own fault back then...

I grew up in a really messed up church with some really messed up people - I’m currently in a mental hospital going through trauma therapy for the second year in a row because for a start they thought I was a satanist because I was into Megadeth and Sabbath and The Cure so Halloween was the time they’d try to “exorcise” me, but it was brisbane in the 80s so there were some absolute creeps involved. I got out, kind of by accident, but just tried to pretend it never happened, in December I turn 50 and It’s all come back to bite me in the past 2 years. I’m so glad you’re talking about and dealing with this at a younger age and have a chance to live a happier and healtheir life and encourage, support and inspire others as well. Churches are f****d and for every one person who was jailed for life there ten more who should have been. Sheep and wolves. I’m so sorry for the guilt and isolation they saddled you with and I hope people who see this realise how wrong it is to raise children that way.

Hope you are doing well and recovering. I spent time in a psych ward last year and know I’ve suffered trauma. It’s hard to recover from. Wishing you all the best on your mental health journey to recovery.

I loved this interview. Seeing the vulnerable side of Nat was nice to see. He’s definitely one I would call multi-faceted and I appreciate each and every aspect of his being! Thank you for sharing, with your audience, a piece of you we never get to see. I know it’s hard to be vulnerable so I appreciate your honesty and willingness to open up about your mental health❤ and just remember…YOU’RE A F*CKING CHAMPION!

Nat you will never know how much I needed this video. Seeing someone I have long held up as such an inspiring strong person who loves all the metal and tattoos and badass stuff I do talk about their mental health makes me not feel so bad about myself experiencing the same. I'm so grateful this exists..just love him even more. If you ever see this nat come to Perth and ill tattoo you as a thankyou 🖤 (qualified tattooist btw) you're a champion helping others find their own inner champion x

❤❤❤❤ Nat, I’m a 55 yr old who always felt judged and found to be lacking, still feel it. I put on a good face most of the time but it’s catching up with me lately. Always looking for approval from anyone. I wish I had the guts to just live for myself and not worry about what anyone thinks of me. I think you’re awesome.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but when Nat was talking and tearing up, so was I while watching it. Good on you for being so open about the challenges of mental health. It’s hard to hear when someone is hurting, it’s even harder when you’re hurting as well

not just you, it takes a very cold heart to watch him hurting and not get emotional, sitting here having an ugly cry in solidarity

Nat definitely brought my family sunshine during the lockdowns. My hubby is very difficult to make laugh and he will openly belly laugh to Nat’s videos. Jules’ reactions add to the utter joy. Just ‘do yaself a favour’ go watch them all.

You always have me smiling watching your videos & I have tried your recipes. Watching you open up just adds to your appeal, you definitely resonate with alot of people of all ages which is amazing. I'm 57, I swear, like rock, love to cook and mastered the art of convincing people I'm always happy-go-lucky. The way I deal is doing what makes me happy, cooking, listening to music, walking my dogs, nature & trying my hand at art. Definitely helps knowing others (women, men young, old, different personalities) are in similar situations. All the best to you and everyone else struggling on their own.
