I saw the Castle in a cinema in the west coast of Ireland in the summer of ‘98. We went to it cause we’d seen whatever the summer blockbuster was (Armageddon or whatever) and it was the only thing on. We laughed our arses off. I told as many people about it as I could in the intervening years. About 15 years after, I moved to Australia and had Aussies say “aww mate you have to see the Castle”. Don’t tell ME about the Castle mate. I know all about the Castle

After watching a Babish video, all I think is "looks great but I can't fuckin make that, I need to go to 5 different specialty shops for the ingredients, $1000 worth of specialty kitchen equipment and four fucking days to finish it off".
