the first few minutes described me in my middle school years. i was especially aggressive to get people to respect me but it also prevented me from developing intimate relationships with others. as i entered high school, i began to see the negative effects of this aspect. i was forced to take a good look at myself and transform myself into a less blunt and toxic person. that side tends to slip out when people start to poke at my insecurities, but otherwise i've learned to identify moments where i feel vulnerable or lesser and adjust accordingly. i'm just scared this explosive, sharp-tongued part of myself will never fully go away.

I don't try to come off as superior but I think I give off that vibe. People get to know me and confess that they thought I was snobby when they first met me. But I also have austere Saturn squaring my Mercury as well. Pluto squaring my Mercury gives me social anxiety. A touch of paranoia in that I assume people think the worst of me. My mercury is in Aquarius so I can get very idealistic and fixed on those ideals and pluto brings painful situations that force me to reconsider. But learning to work with Pluto in a healthy way has been totally transformative and has helped me to not be so rigid and stuck in viewpoint. Pluto gives me great mental powers and intuitive abilities and I can SEE into people and situations. It makes my speech sort of blunt though, which can be hard for others especially when what I speak is what they don't want to hear. I don't mince words. I'm not always tactful in my speaking, especially when angered. I try to be more sensitive. I also have Uranus sextile to my mercury which can make my thoughts erratic but Saturn and Pluto bring me back down to earth. With Pluto to my mercury, three placements in Aquarius and four i Sagittarius I had to learn the hard way not to be so idealistic, preachy and opinionated! If I don't focus on the healthy sides of these signs, Pluto is there to bite me in the ass and bring a painful experience where I am forced to examine myself!

My sister has this aspect, she also has mercury conj Mars - she is brutal and packs a punch 🤜... she is defensive and aggressive, you can’t works things out with her in a conversation, there is never any resolve - once she has hurt me - I can’t tell her she’s hurt me or try to work through it with her. I’ve decided to not have a relationship with her anymore - nothing changes, there is no growth. We just fight and don’t speak for 6 months then when we “make up” there is NO talking it through, NO apology - it’s just brushed under the carpet until next time, the elephant is always in the room and the resentment builds and builds until the next explosion. But this time - there is no next time - I’m exhausted and done.

Mercury/Venus/Sun in Aquarius (12th house) square Pluto in Scorpio (8th house), and trine Moon - I used to cry and shake when I spoke about certain things when I was younger. It seemed like almost every time I would speak, I would cry and shake. I had no control over it. It was horrible!!! Sometimes I wouldn't be aware of why, like it was something in my unconscious. I think people with Pluto squares need to work on resolving trauma and healing the nervous system. Doing a lot of journaling around fear and resentment helps me, with a pray to release it. Lots of meditation and Kundalini yoga. Remembering that our power comes from self-mastery, not from controlling anyone else or public opinion, because we can't do that. For me most of my triggers are around what I consider ethical issues. I don't care about most topics or random opinions people carry, but on some things I just go NUTS and sever the relationship if I consider that someone violates my ethical code. I have to remind myself that people more often change their views if I stay calm and offer data and sound arguments. I will admit there's something very satisfying about getting someone to come around to my perspective, and especially if they thank me later for showing them things they never thought of before (this has happened a fair amount). Depending on the person, sometimes I can really push too hard and get explosive in that process though, which my Libra Moon is always mortified by after the fact. I'm trying to be a more accepting person, but I find I don't really trust anyone because most don't meet my standards. I do think I'm improving though. Healing triggers is key. Relationships are so hard...I feel like I'm just a catalyst for my partner and I annoy them and push them to grow and then I break up because I can't stand it anymore, then they're in a better position for a better relationship and I still don't know how to have a stable relationship. :-| Has anyone really fully transformed their Pluto squares into the higher expression because I want to hear from you!!

The manipulation only exists because she is feeling disempowered by your point of view or what you are saying is nagging on an insecurity of hers. This happens when someone doesn't know how to understand this energy. If she were self aware she could work on the healthy pluto stuff. Squares exist to shape and form us through difficult ways or through inner tension or conflict. But if a person is not very conscious or fails to learn these lessons, they pain they feel inside will be spewed on to others.

Have this exact aspect and agree 100%. Almost like you're communication style is like a scalpel and if you're not careful, it can seriously cause damage. It usually helps when I think to myself that what I'm consciously aware of is a tiny, tiny fraction of the entire picture. I had a car accident that healed this part of me. It was a profound experience and healed my mind of trauma thinking. I have found in my experience of the energy- that trauma triggers this like post traumatic stress disorder...its like a need to stop and a deep fear of another destroying your mind and invading you so you become the warrior who no one shall pass into your inner state....the mind thinks there danger - of penetration or injecting from an out side source. The pluto holds alot of past life trauma to the mind...psychological and emotional abuse. I learnt to humble myself and i do not need t defend when i feel under attack (and know that if i feel under attack i need to go with in) and not be effected and direct my energy to effect other in healing and empowering way. Spot on! I know a couple of persons with this aspect and they constantly want to, in a way, have the upper hand during the conversation. They usually don't want to reveal their true thoughts even when in the company of their loved ones. Also, they often choose to remain silent when they should really speak,( because e.g. it IS the lack of bad manners not answer the question or email). It is only when someone says something against them (or they see it that way), even if it's true, that they "explode" and defend themselves by attacking verbally the other person and making verbal threats! I have Mercury trine Pluto, but it plays out in a completely different way. Besides, my mercury is in mutable Gemini, but the people I know usually have mercury in fixed signs which makes this aspect even worse. They are completely stuck in their own ways and veeeeery unwiling to change their mind, apologise etc. even when they know they should.

I can recall situations where I acted all of these characteristics you mention here, but not too strong or aggressive (at least from my perspective, for example I most of time struggle with too much worry of what others think and although I get very angry that people are not honest or they don't show their transparency I'm not into forcefully exposing it, I try to expose it mildly or sweetened sometimes, especially with authority figures, I remember a time where I wanted to give my boss a book on "how to be a good boss" approved by me first hahaha. I also have Mercury (and Sun, and Venus) in Aquarius square Pluto in Scorpio. I have always had high minded ideals on certain topics and I notice that I try to shape others to come around to my point of view. If they don't, sometimes I can't stand to keep the relationship. It depends on the issue at hand...certain topics make me feel nauseous if someone disagrees as it's a matter of ethics for me and I can take those particular things personally. It's mostly around only issues that trigger me. I'm trying to be ok with people not agreeing with me or seeing these things like I do by focusing on developing my own personal power and feeling of safety in my body. But it's really hard...some disagreements feel emotionally threatening. On the other hand, sometimes my being so direct in trying to change people has a positive impact on them, although they find me 'hard to love,' sometimes they thank me down the road. And yeah, I've had to accept that I can be a real pain when it comes to the way I communicate. It's so frustrating. Moon in Libra in the 7th helps (trine my Mercury) but not enough. lol I have to remind myself that the way people change their views is to hear a calm and clear argument, that as soon as I start to be visibly angry most people shut down, and that not everyone can hear something at that moment and that's ok.

I'm having difficulty aligning this aspect with my past or current personal experience in thought. I may have slight tendencies to apply it to myself, but I don't see developing a standard by which I've applied it to others, not looking for their flaws. I'm an Empath, and overwhelmingly focused on the talents, gifts, and good in others - this my flaw in succumbing to a Codependent role in many relationships, family, friend, partners - However, it is said the polar opposite is not that far apart under certain circumstances.
