So incredibly true on every level. This made me realize that the drive to prove ourselves -- the one that leads us to waste so much energy we'll never get back -- is the same drive responsible for all our accomplishments. So maybe that wasted energy is not in vain but an acceptable casualty, if we can make a little difference in the world. I wonder if Wonder Woman feels this way.

My mother tells me that when I was little I spent an entire afternoon learning to ride a bike by myself. Every time she offered me some help, I would get mad and tell her to go away. I have this square 0.5 degrees. My sun in Aquarius in the 12th house. Mars in Taurus in the 3rd house. I find I'm really patient, but I will plot & plan to get what I want. When I get angry I can verbally rip someone up. But I have to separate myself to cool so that doesn't happen. I do tend to be defensive at times. I get annoyed easily, but it takes a lot for me to get truly angry. I'm very determined too. Over the years though I've learned to pick my battles. I truly loved this video! As a person with a lot of difficult aspects (Four Pluto Conjunctions: Moon, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn, part of a 10th/11th House Libra stellium), Sun is square both Mars and Pluto on an 8th/9th House cusp with Venus on the 7th/8th House cusp. Sad but true about me. Female Aries w/Sun Square Mars. Im 60 y/o, chocolate, single & celibate and i dont like nothing physical work. I cant lift over 50 pounds w/o physically hurting myself and most of my employment was very physical & hurt me physically. Now I am covid19 unemployed since last march & havent found work I like anywhere in south MN. I dont have a car or a bicycle and bus service stops at 6pm here & have changed their routes. I always feel defensive and people tell me I look angry but I think too much & too deeply. Lots of inner turmoil w/this square. I feel it every day i wake up. 9-18-21. Very accurate , I have this aspect and the way it has played out in my life are two ways 1. Because I have mars in cancer the aspect gets triggered through my emotions and for me to snap this way it would have to deeply hurt me and build up over time through patterns of events. 2. Because I have an unclear understanding of my true identity I tend to rely on feedback and validation from others therefore causing me to feel offended and take it to heart when people don't have nice things to say about me also trigger this aspect , again emotional response of mars in cancer through the fire of my sun in Aries. 3. Because of the two points above I've lacked the definition of what my boundaries truly are and so when people cross those boundaries I don't know how to properly handle it so I repress and stay quiet(because contrary to popular belief in I truly hate confrontation and try to avoid it at all cost)until it comes to a point where they cross a definite line or have done it so many times that i end up snapping and become combative because I've had enough, however, this can wll be avoided if I'm clear from the start 4. What you said about needing to prove oneself to self and others is 100% , I have done this in the past and still catch myself with the urge to do this to some degree, but again, I think for me it is tied to lack of self belief and trust in self that I end up relying on the approval of others.

I have both sun and moon squaring Mars. LMAO. This makes so much sense. I even have that frown line in the middle of my forehead. And ☀and 🌙 are both conjunct Saturn and squaring the ascendant. Again, Jewel, excellent. This particular aspect really hit "home". My mother had it. Everyday either I or my brother got a paddeling. We were "in the way." Only the family dog, who developed into an ogre as a result, was allowed freedom. It is now a big assignment to comb through this in regard to her. I have this aspect and in my case it attracts a lot of passive aggressiveness. People believe I'm much stronger than I really am. But yes I'm responding with strength. Over time though this aspect is what has consumed me the most. The warrior instincts and the constant try of modulation of it, it's a high maintenance practice. My Mars has to bend to a superior order. Frustration in front of injustices is often hurting. I must remind to myself that in this lifetime I must let go, I must have faith in the Divine justice. I still carry his signature on me though, my Scorpio Mars is sextile to the Asc. conjunct to MC, Part of Fortune, South Node (here my real "amputation") and square sun. My bf has this aspect. He’s verrryyy defensive! I find my self constantly asking him what’s wrong because of the intense look he always has on his face. Anything that bothers him or disrupts his sphere is met with knee jerk aggression and defensiveness. It’s like he doesn’t even realize he’s doing it. I have to tell him all the time that everything is not about him and everyone is not out to get him. He works out EVERYDAY. Great body and muscles. Very sexy. AMAZING sex. Very successful! I have this with Mars opposite Pluto (6 degree orb) but think my Cancer sun and moon complicate things a bit where I might attract aggression towards me. As a kid some classmates would bully and hit me and I wouldn't respond or hit back and one girl in grade 9 thought I wanted to fight her when I had no intention. I was somewhat of a tomboy though and saw a bunch of boys go down a steep hill with their bikes and told my friend 'we can do that' and did amongst other things. I would waste time on people who I felt wronged me trying to get validation but don't bother with that bs anymore and cut my losses. I seem to attract a lot of narcissistic types but am getting better at spotting them and withdrawing. I'm finding kickboxing to be a great way to healthily channel those warrior energies, and train with my son who has his north node in Aries which is good for him also. Beta males seem attracted to me but I'm not really attracted to them, don't know if I can respect them. I don't consider myself an alpha either nor necessarily attracted to alphas. I consider myself more of an individual who is looking to master themselves and am looking for the same in a partner. This did ring true though in other ways.

Where's your mars? what house is it in? If his in your 7th house, you will probably be attracted to assertive partners or people who have martian characteristics. But there are other aspects and planets that can reinforce this. It is usually difficult for us, with this aspect, to deal with this type of partner for reasons of competitiveness and independence.

My ex husband has this and he's an abusive jerk with a hair trigger temper and ohhh the immaturity...He acts like a child..Annoying infantile behavior..OMG.Thank God for divorce...lol. As far as getting what he wants.He tried taking me to court for custody of my child and the judge laughed him outta court.I got full custody and his ego was crushed..Hahaha.
