As a foreigner studying at Busan University at the time, I feel you on the academic thing ahah. Funny thing is even though I learnt all the PPT and report stuff at language school, teachers are always like " Can you do a PPT like you would do back in France " . As someone who also wanted to study abroad in high school, I think studying abroad in college is better because you will be better prepared to move abroad and handle situations on your own than you would be as a high schooler~ Don't be too sad~ Your time will come~ Consider the next few years as time to prepare finances for your study abroad and further study Korean (if you're currently studying Korean)~

I always look forward to your videos and always enjoy watching them. Your videos have helped keep me motivated when I’ve felt down in my own studies. I’m learning Korean myself, it’s a bit of a struggle as I’m a slow learner but I’m determined & I will get there, but I’m enjoying it. I was just wondering if you felt that learning Chinese first made learning Korean a lot harder? since you are mixing up grammar structures, vocabulary, pronunciation, etc. I wanted to start off learning Korean but my school doesn’t offer it😔 btw. I’m currently attending Texas A&M! I can’t believe you came to school here such a small world🙈

I think learning chinese first would be fine. In my opinion chinese is the hardest of the two and after all there are chinese characters used in korean. At one point in uni I was learning korean and Russian and at the same time remembering Spanish and it can get confusing but I think it’s good practice that helps you realize that translating in your head isn’t the best way and it forces you to really change the way you are thinking.

I’m a KIIP student right now and my classes are also all online. Tbh I’m sooo sick of online classes. It’s so much harder to focus IMO. It doesn’t help that all the material is on culture and society (for level 5) which tends to be a little boring (the content is stuff like insurance and welfare…important but not fun haha) so I get distracted soooo easily 😭

@@NataliaGarza IIRC you can go in there if you have the ID number even if you dont have the physical ID card. It's one of the biggest libraries in Korea and last time i checked there was a good collection of books for learners (textbooks and readers)!! definitely check
