On most talk shows, they have an outline of the discussion. Typically, the guests sit down with a producer and they plan together what they are going to talk about. So Natalie likely would have told that story to a producer, and Dave would be told something like "she has a funny story about watching an R rated movie" or whatever. But she wouldn't have been sitting next to Alex. So it's plausible the "one of your brothers" moment was genuine an unplanned. But it's just as likely the producer told her she was going to be going on with Alex and she said "oh, I have a story about watching a movie his brother was in" and they went from there.

@TitaniumTurbine4 ай бұрын
Funny thing about quotes like that, I know exactly the kind of person you are just by repeating it like that. It doesn’t matter who says it, in what context, or the rhetoric involved but right wingers will always cling and hold onto generalized propaganda statements like that no matter what the situation is. Everything is always “corrupting the youth!” or they’ll say “think of the children!” until it comes to their own actions or the kinds of things they support - then it can be as aggressive, violent, demeaning, offensive as humanely possible with no consideration for the youth in the slightest. The people corrupting today’s youth are the same people reciting these lines while being as hypocritical as they can.

5:15 “She’s a housewife - she doesn’t like when I call her that - she says it sounds like she’s married to a house.” That is a hilarious joke and it seems like it went straight past the audience.

It's not hilarious and that's why audience/AB/Letterman didn't start laugh..They got it !

Great interview. They were all fantastic and fun. NP had to have broken so many high school kids' hearts.

My favorite actress. She has always been great.

She looks exactly the same here as she did in "Thor", only shrunk. I know this is real, but it's easy to imagine her "shrunken" appearance as a visual effect in a movie.

This was hilarious. All three of them landed massive jokes. I was dying.... some examples were: "One of them was your brother" by Portman, "Oh, well, that's very important now, because we don't have enough PEOPLE." by Letterman, "I can count, but not that high." by Alec. LMFAO! 10/10 show, Letterman.

I don't think her father goes by Dr. Portman. Natalie's birth name is Natalie Hershlag, born to Shelly Stevens and Dr. Avner Hershlag.

The Portman kid seems very talented, looks like she has a bright future ahead of her. She should try getting into more movies.

After Leon - The Professional, I've garnered a HUGE respect for this actress. Then the following Star Wars movies she was amongst the only beacons of light. Back THEN, I did not have access to this programs from US TV, I was oblivious to this... Some like 10+ y later I've tried my best in learning the English language and american culture AND LO AND BEHOLD: Natalie is still overwhelmingly clever and charming... Natalie Portman, true genuine actress in my book.
