Great story! Back in 1971 when I was 11 year's old, my older brother bought a '67 Barracuda notchback. It was Barracuda silver metallic with a 273 and factory air. Beautiful car. A year later he got married and he and his wife drove that car on their honeymoon. He then bought another '67 Barracuda notchback with a 273 Commando. That car was sunfire yellow. They drove those Barracuda's for several year's. Great memories and one of the reason's I am a huge Mopar fan and the Barracuda is my favorite car of all time. I have never owned one, but still have some time left to catch my own 'Cuda. I do have 2 Dodge Challenger's, however.

Great angle. When you see a model you like you eventually want to own one. I saw a 62 Plymouth Belvedere in New Zealand from the bus everyday passing a wreckers yard coming home from work and decided to get off the bus early one day and I checked it out and I bought it. I Imported a 7 litre 440 v8 from LA in the States and sold off the bad 361 big block it had in it. That 440 engine hummed but I'd seen Mad Max movies so rebuilt the engine with 7 to 1 piston compression, tunnel rammed it and put a 671 blower with twin 4 barrell 600 Holley carbs on it. The blower ran 1 to 1 ratio with the engine. It destroyed engine mounts, drive shafts, diffs, then 727 transmissions. It was a beast and hard to slow down. The coolest car I've owned so far. Leave your ride the way it is. It suits you.

That car looks like absolute fun! You go "Girl" and enjoy life and your family! Do not listen to unsafe advocates as they are just jealous! I had a 68 Notch white exterior, green top and green deluxe interior 318 two barrel! My grocery getter every day Fish with oh so cold Air conditioning! Had to let it go to Keep the 69 FB 383S after some hard times! I really miss that notch!

I was born in Ann Arbor Michigan at 1967, now I living in Japan.in1967,my father bough a Barracuda coupe. And next year, We returned to Japan, with Barracuda. he had her about 10 several years. Really nostalgic.

I had a yellow 67 Barracuda with black vinyl top. My grandparents bought it off the showroom floor in 1967. I remember when I was about 6 or 7 years old I remember going to the store with Grandma and there was always someone who would ask if it was for sale. Nope. It had a slant 6 with a 2 barrel Holley carb. Well grandpa passed away and my grandma ended up giving it to my mom who in turn left it to me when she passed away. So in 1986 it had 89.000 original miles on it. I ended up in a jam and had to sell it. I was desperate and I sold it to a cocaine dealer for 600 bucks and an 8 ball and he ended up wrecking it. What a shame.

My dad's '66 VC Valiant wagon had a 273 fitted to it. You should get a good stereo fitted to it so you can play some period correct music while driving:- Jimi Hendrix, Janis, Stones,Led Zepp, Joni Mitchell, Meters, Simon and Garfunkel, Mamas and Papas, etc. It's great to be alive!😃👍

I can forgive parents in the 60s & 70s as they had no choice, but for an adult in the modern era of 5 star safety rated cars, there's no excuse to have your kids daily driven in a solid steel death trap like this car. Remember, your 'free spiritedness' doesn't usurp your childs safety, because they have no choice. I defy you to look at the yearly road death toll (especially in regional areas) & tell me you have the best interest of the child in mind, riding in that particular car with it's zero safety features. You can't trust other drivers to not crash into you. Just saying.

@@HarryMollyNut I understand where you are coming from but my comment was just appreciating the car. I personally don't have kids so I do not relate to that aspect. Although cars from those times are not as safe as modern day ones they can't be recreated in my eyes. Nothing compares.
