#primerefam Thanks so much for your wonderful videos I am also a 29 year old mama of 3. You truly let me know I’m not alone. In this non Pinterest worthy household 🤣. I would make so many decor pieces with a cricut machine. I have loads of empty frames that I would use to input different images and wording in.

My favorite Cricut item I have made is an ornament with my grandma’s handwriting “God Bless!”. It’s just the same as every card and gift she ever gave. My siblings and cousins love them as well. I made enough for our entire extended family the Christmas after she passed.

I always have at least a month's worth of pantry items that could carry us through if needed. We live in the rural midwest. There are legitimately times I cannot get to the store because of things like a snow storm. I don't think it's too crazy to keep things on hand just in case. It makes me think of Joseph storing up in the years of plenty to prepare for the skinny years.

Looks very organized and well-thought out! A couple of thoughts i had: Take out any wimpy shelves.(just whichever shelves are bowing) and replace them with strong wooden ones instead. We did this. In fact, you've got enough space to even add a couple of shelves. If the whole unit is just too weak, move it to your office, and use it for your camera equipment, etc..

@Natalie Actually, it’s not the shelves, but the supports that need to sturdier. I just got some larger, metal shelf supports at Home Depot for my new office’s bookcases.

We are on a debt free journey right now and it's so frustrating to constantly be seeing inspo that requires tons of $$. That's why you're my fave channel! ❤ Shocked you haven't received too many "homesteaders wouldn't use bagged popcorn or store bought cleaner" comments yet. 🤣 You do you.

I’ve gotten some clear plastic placemats from dollar tree in the past and used them on wire shelves. It works great if you have them in the pantry for cans and boxes of food. Also in closets with shoes to keep dirt from falling to clothes below. Or anything really.

Thanks for donating to the food bank for flood victims up here in Whatcom County! I spent half a day with lots of volunteers cleaning out a church basement food bank that flooded with 4 feet of water on the floor. Tons of food was ruined and had to be thrown away. Thanks for finding a way to pitch in and help my community.❤️

I just reorganized my pantry cupboards and basement “overstock” food items over the weekend. I still need to work on my crazy baking cabinet, so this video came at a great time. I LOVE the labels you made and that would definitely be the FIRST thing I’d use a cricut for. I have tons of jars of nuts, seeds, and grains on an exposed shelf in my kitchen that could really use some beautiful labels. #premierefam

When I got my Cricut Maker last year, it was an absolute game-changer! I label EVERYTHING! It makes things easy to find, but also easy for my husband and kids to know where to put things back when they’ve used them. My pantry labels are my favourite (so satisfying to look at, yet functional too). I’m currently using my Cricut to make Christmas decorations as teacher gifts, which has saved me a fortune. The gifts look expensive and “custom”, yet cost very little.

suggestion you may like and need; since your pantry / storage is in the laundry room...to protect the items from lint or dust etc and to make the room more visually appealing. place a curtain rod across the entire back wall (hunf from the ceiling for best suport for that large space) and hang up curtains for easy access to your items but keeps everything clean and looks very nice as well.

The flooding has been insane! We live in the Okanagan valley and are now basically cut off from the lower mainland (Vancouver) for the foreseeable future! Not fun. Terrible heat wave then smoke and fires in summer and now it’s flooding and rock slides. Now waiting for a forecasted colder than usual Jan/Feb! 🤪. I too agree with minimalism but also agree that’s it’s important to be prepared with a little extra of basics so as not to get panicked when there are things missing at the grocery store! 😍

I keep our extra food in a closet in our basement bathroom 😂 our pantry is very lacking in space. Whoever built our home only gave about a 3 foot wide space with pullout shelves and a cabinet above for space so I had to get creative when I bought extra food supply. It’s working so far! Love how your pantry turned out!!

I took a year to change and repair things in our house. Next year, I'll visit changing the kitchen / living area floors. They are a dark brown. I want a lighter gray brown color. But eventually we will be blessed with new ones.

Just a thought/idea: move the white cabinet (that isn't working for you) out to the garage, into the man cave part to use for other things. Then move one of those metal shelves that you said were too big and move into that space. I saw quite a few metal shelving units when you were looking for one to go in in the tools/cleaning supply area.

Since you started this series I've been slowly decluttering my house and tried your way of how you organize to see if this combination helps me stay organized. It has helped out so much! I'm not having to revisit things for a massive overhaul constantly because we got rid of the things that were just being moved around and causing clutter. Now I just have baskets, shelves and the like that I need to label. I didn't think it would be such a big deal but if I'm the one who made the decision to put something in a basket of course I know it's there but my husband may not. Since my son isn't quite ready to read it'd be nice to use pictures to label his bins of clothes and toys with the word underneath it. Your labels looked fine before but they look more streamlined with the new labels. You've made being a minimalist less daunting by showing that you can still be one even if you're not following the "rules" 100% because that's what always held me back from taking that leap. It needed to be all or nothing in my head, no extras and no changing of the rules. #premeirefam

#premierfam I love my cricut, I went crazy labeling everything in my house with mine and I love it. I think the best is my sons room. He has OCD and hates stuff not being were it goes or his room messy so we labeled his toys bins(with words and pictures since he is 6 and can't fully read yet) so when he has company come play they can clean and everyone knows where everything goes. He loves it! As always you did an amazing job!

It looks like that wooden shelving unit is made out of prefinished maple which is actually really strong. If you got little metal shelf pens which are about $.15 each it would increase the strength of that shelving as well so that you could put heavier stuff on all of the shelves.

But today baby woke up at 5:30, I had some coffee and she went back to bed and I’m too caffeinated to sleep 😩 I got myself a Cricut last year but haven’t been able to use it much because toddler and baby life🥺 it is such a cool tool though! I got it mainly for scrapbooking, but it can do some really neat things

#premierefam I love how you can customize things with a cricut machine. I would use it to cut heat transfer vinyl to make shirts for my kiddos.

I like your choice of all caps, easy to read font on the labels. I would use it to make custom kids' clothes, including 4-letter monograms because all my kids have 2 middle names. #premierefam
