One thing that’s important to remember is that at this point Marvel didn’t announce their upcoming films like they do now. @Beowulf89894 жыл бұрын
15:00 In addition to Coulson being the star of Agents of SHIELD, he also starred in a few DVD shorts that came out alongside Incredible Hulk and Iron Man 2. He does indeed go "into action" in one of them. I believe the shorts are canon, but most of the time they are there either as further setup for later movies, or to appease small canonical problems that were introduced or retconned. Iron Man 1's post credit scene implied that Stark was being recruited as an Avenger, for example, and the post credit scene from Incredible Hulk made it look like he was actively recruiting for the Avengers. But in Iron Man 2 he's still being evaluated. One of the shorts tries to explain this apparent plot hole. Which is, in its own way, almost a callback to classic Marvel comics, where the editors for various books would readily accept and adopt head canon explanations for plot holes that appeared in their books, often giving the fans who pointed out and explained away the plot holes small, semi-sarcastic praise.

@Mrryn2 жыл бұрын
Yup. It's also a trademark of smart villains. Dumb villains who are deadset on the focus of their anger/revenge will tunnelvision on it, allowing a clever hero to use that to draw the villain away from innocent people. A smart villain won't take that bait and will sometimes straight up threaten innocent people, either as a sort of "look at the harm you're causing by not giving yourself up to me" or to force the hero to stay and come to them to defend the people (and make them leave themselves open to cheap shots or being overwhelmed). At some point, most villains, even the complex ones and/or ones with sympathetic backstories, make a choice and that choice is their goal...to achieve it, no matter what or who gets in the way.

Its just a theory they confirmed for fun. It is not very fun however and does not add up at all apart from his age. Also, is never adressed in sequences in which it should be adressed, so cinematically, it does not make sense at all and actually takes from the movies without adding any value to it if it would really be true. Not every single civilian heroes rescued along the way is supposed to be some other hero in the future. It takes simplicity of heroes rescuing simple civilians. It makes the MCU world smaller, not larger. Just let it be like it was meant to be. It is much better that way. If you retcon random kid being spider man and having that important relationship to iron man even before he met him and never even mention it - then what is the point and where does it end? It just does not make sense and actually can ruin movies if you are not carefull with it. It is not fun and not a good practice.

Mike S not really. They are good too, they just can’t do certain things and really tell their story until a certain movie occurs. I never got the hate for the first part of the season.
@ALeafOnTheWind424 жыл бұрын
@@christophercorbin9387 I literally just rewatched season 1 (at least up to TRACKS, which is about where the show starts to turn) and it's only slightly better than I remember. The show was HEAVILY carried on the backs of FitzSimmons, and even they faltered at moments. But the others? Ward was always complete nothing until the turn (which, benefit of hindsight, was surely the intent). May was pretty flat. She had the "mystery" of being the calvary, but that didn't really do anything to help her case. Skye was just dreadful in the beginning. Coulson was alright, having the benefit of being established already, but everything about him was centered around Tahiti. Which was kind of cool for a bit, but it dragged too long. I do get why season 1 was so painful. I really do. And I don't hold it against the show too much. But it is extremely painful to get through, and it's absolutely the worst season of the entire show
@christophercorbin93874 жыл бұрын
Mike S Looking back you have to respect more of what they were doing with Skye, and why she was presented the way she was. So you can really see the entire journey of a regular person to what she becomes. True, it was the weakest part of the series, and I know why Marvel wouldn’t let them take off until a certain movie, but I’d still say it was stronger than a lot of series on TV even at its weakest.
@ALeafOnTheWind424 жыл бұрын
@@christophercorbin9387 Eh... Yes and no. To a degree I agree about Skye, but even knowing it, she's still pretty awful and hard to take. The "better than a lot of other series" argument doesn't really jive with me. There are A LOT of shitty show on TV. It being better than a lot of shows doesn't mean much. It was mediocre to bad until somewhere around episode 10-13 (10 being the 2nd appearance of Mike Peterson and 13 being TRACKS), and even then is only decent until Turn, Turn, Turn. Once Turn, Turn, Turn hits, the show is fantastic and never looks back (well, season 6 probably returns to the realm of decent). But the early season is INCREDIBLY rough.

I love seeing homes from an aerial view, especially in California where there really are some nice homes with beautiful properties, but Tony's house - hanging off the cliff like that - is simply gorgeous. In the film, Sterns, Bruce Banner's contact proposed to help him find a cure against turning into the Hulk. However, Sterns had secretly been duplicating samples of Banner's blood for his own experiments. After attempting to cure Banner, he was persuaded to experiment on Emil Blonksy, thereby transforming Blonsky into The Abomination. As the Abomination began to smash Stern's laboratory, Sterns was hit in the head. This wound then made contact with Banner's gamma-radiated blood, which potentially triggered the transformation of Sterns into the Leader. This plotline remained unresolved due to no direct sequel.

Jack The Narrator the rest of Peter Parker's life would of foreshadowed over Tony Stark. Why would he have said "oh, I know you. You saved my life back in 2010." It's redundant compared to the relevance of everything else that's happened in his life since then considering Peter Parker was 14 in Civil War making him 8 years old in Iron Man 2. You're forgetting that Kevin Feige produces all of the MCU movies which means he wasn't obliged to add it in any of the movies. Since he makes the movies, he can retcon it anyway he wants to retcon it.
@jackthenarrator47354 жыл бұрын
@@chadbrisco4042 I don't believe that Peter would never had brought up that moment to Tony. That's not something a kid would forget just because he got superpowers as he grew up. Feige could have at least added a moment or reference to that scene in one of the later movies to connect events and give their relationship more meaning. Just because Feige can do what he wants doesn't mean that he should. Fan service retconning is cringy and insultingly pandering. If it's not made clear in the movies than it shouldn't count as canon.
