The third girl was not the ghost. There were three girls that entered the tunnel. When they reached the end, the first girl said she knew the stories weren't true" the second says "I'm glad I was in the middle" and the third one says "Me too",but how would it be possible for both the second and the third girl to be in the middle unless there was a forth person, or ghost, running besides them. So the logical explanation here is that the ghost was running besides the third girl, holding her hand, making it feel like the third girl was in the middle
