Yay! I did it! I’ve realized how well-crafted this course is. Gradually building muscle awareness and strength. Everything fits perfectly. Thank you, Natalie!

Hello Natalie! I finally did it!!! So pleased with myself and with you for getting me there!!! I started the 30 days on 4th August. Reached Day 25 on 14th September (a few gaps because of visitors), and despite the obvious increase in strength and physical awareness I just couldn't get anywhere near the wall in the kick-up. So I spent nearly a week doing your drills slowly and carefully - but despite the almost meditative enjoyment there was still no real progress. Then today I thought - bugger it (excuse my French) - and decided to throw caution to the winds and launch myself into the kick-up using a much more dynamic approach, almost like a head-on cartwheel. It worked!!! I touched the wall several times and felt that once I have my balance a little better I'll be able to hold it for a while quite comfortably. It's now a matter of refining the movement and form, now I know what the whole thing feels like. Thank you so much for your wonderfully thoughtful and progressive approach. You have made a 75-year-old very happy!!! And a lot fitter!!! (Excuse the excess of exclamation marks but that's just how I feel right now (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)) PS Just had another short session to reinforce the feeling and make sure it wasn't just a one-off. I held a handstand for 15 seconds with a tiny bit of support from the wall. I think my handstand journey is now really on its way. THANK YOU! YOU'RE A STAR!!!

Hello and thank you so much for sharing your experience! I am very happy to hear that. Good job for just trying to put much more momentum into the kick-up! And holding 15 seconds sounds really great! Thank you so much for folloing and I hope I will be as fit as you at that age :)) Best wishes and keep up the good work!

I touched the wall! The first time I got to this video, I couldn't do it and I felt very far away in my progress. But I went back to the first kickup video on day 22, and today when I tried this one again, I was able make contact with the wall. It felt like magic!

Effective repetitive routine for developing muscle memory. Also, a light yoga/meditation at cool down, help relieves the tension in the body.

I've wanted to be able to do a handstand for a very long time and I have to admit I had my doubts about being able to do this, but I managed to get my leg to touch the wall and I am so excited!! Thank you so much for these lessons!!

That sounds really great! Keep up the good work and stabilze your holds against the wall for a while, then take it from there to improve your balance. Best wishes

Some years ago when I started to teach myself handstand, I was able to reach the wall and hold it there immediately without any preparation. But from today's perspective I know that this was not any achievement. In particular it was not helpful for getting into unsupported handstand, the mystery of which brought me a lot of frustration. In my view all the strengthening and stretching exercises shown in this series are more challenging - and also more beneficial - than touching the wall or holding against the wall. Because the latter can be accomplished by cheating with bad form.

Thank you so much as always for sharing your thoughts :) I very much agree and am happy to hear that you find lot of useful stuff to learn in these "basic" not so basic exercises.
