You made a good point about skin tone, I never understood when people said lighter shades aren’t good for deeper skin tones, it’s the opposite, lighter shades pop on deeper skin, while their disappear on light complexions.

I am really into this color story it just feels very me. It has all the colors that I love the most and beautiful packaging. I'm very on the fence between this and Sydney Grace's bundle though. I like ND's palette better, but buying from an indie brand seems like the better choice plus there are more shades and it supports Mel's family. I feel caught between my head and my heart lol

I love the colour story, I love greens, I agree definitely needs more depth, and we have so many pinks in other palettes, but I don't think there is much versatility within the palette. I feel every look will be that sage/mint type of look

This is gorgeous, thanks for posting. I love my mini retro to death, but honestly this midi palette looks a bit too cool toned for me. I prefer greens that are a little grungier and more olive-y. Also the three pinks here are all bubblegum pink, I wish she had done a peachy or beigey option too.

Same. I love mini retro because it's wearable, sage green and shimmery peachy pink... this is like dusty mint green and red. Not the same vibe at all to me. I'm sure lots of ppl will simp over it bc it's ND but it will fail the test of longevity.

I got the Mel Thompson Sydney Grace bundle, when she first came out with it, unofficially. Now it’s available on Sydney Grace. I like Mel’s better, it’s a little grungier, with some deeper shades and a portion of the proceeds will go to her family, now that she has passed. It is VERY similar and was inspired by Mel’s annoyance that the Retro did not match the mini Retro, like many of us. I used Mel’s yesterday and my eye look was very similar to your first look.

Considering ND pretty much used Mel’s palette she made a year ago to make the retro glam ( Mel’s is still better) anyhoo, I think it would be very stand up of ND to donate some of the proceeds to Mel’s family as well, since she pretty much copied Mel’s exact vision for this palette, her larger version of the retro released last year looked nothing like this.

Hi Morgan! Thank you for featuring the Retro-Glam. I agree that this new palette is related to the Pastel palette. I have ordered it and I look forward to finding out whether I will love it as much as the mini Retro, my favorite quint to create daytime neutral looks. I feel this palette (finally) puts an end to ND fans’ request for a midi version of the mini retro - there are greens, pinks, beiges and a bit of sparkle. I am curious to know what ND is cooking up for spring. I echo other comments and hope that she will expand into other products - though consumers are very fickle nowadays so it is becoming quite challenging to stand out within an ever growing pack of creators. Super intrigued, greens look like they would be on grey-ish side on me, which is a blessing on my weird skin tone, where a lot of deep colors even thinned out get too deep to quickly. and light pink is what I like about retro, but won’t ever buy it because it too deep pink. Even it is not gonna work out 100%, at least it is not another orange, brick red or red pink pallet. Finally something that is more wearable for vampires like me 😅 The looks are very pretty on you

I unfortunately do not own any Natasha Denona palettes, I just can't ever bring myself to spend that much on a palette anymore, but I do love the color story because I'm a huge fan of pink and green together. And I have to say that seeing this palette on your video, kind of makes me like it a lot more, because when I saw it on the pictures on Trendmood and everywhere else online... I feel like the palette itself looked very washed out. But you are absolutely right that it does look a lot deeper and not so ashy in your video. So maybe if this palette ever goes on sale or if somebody makes a dupe for it then maybe I'll pick it up but I'm excited to see your review on this tablet only because everybody else has been basically saying they don't care for it at all. I think the palette is adorable but I went with SG for these colors. Since I already had several of the shades it just made sense to me. I love both brands but money this time of year is mostly reserved for granddaughters in college. The looks were great but I think the pinks should have been more peachy-pink to blend with the greens in this palette. The looks were great Morgan. Thanks for this review.

Your beautiful brown eyes look AMAZING against the green. I am more fair with blue/green eyes, so I'm not sure I can pull off these colors...but I couldn't resist and already ordered! I think I'll likely keep it simpler and use the neutrals as a base, and just add pops of the more brightly-colored shades. It is a BEAUTIFUL palette, though. BTW, I was born in 1969 and grew up in the 70s and 80s. I remember "pink and green" being a thing for a while when I was little...late 70s/early 80s, I think. I had a little 70s-style pants suit that was white with pink and green watermelon slices all over it. Eleven-year-old me LOVED that outfit. 😂😂😂

I got this for the Sephora sale, not so excited for this color story but I do love her formula and don’t have something really like this in my collection. I really wish this was tacked on to the My dream collection because they were launched so close together. Would love to see her expand her line and maybe do more complexion and brow things. As someone who has hooded eyes, I need more than one true matte shade to deepen up my outer corner. I understand there are other ways to place eyeshadow besides a transition shade in the crease and deeper color in the outer corner. However, if you have hooded eyes other shadow placement (halo eyes, deep smokey colors on lid, etc.) Is usually not visible unless you close your eyes or look down. Every eye look I would do with this palette would look very similar due to green being the only deepening shade. For this reason, I purchased Mel Thompson's version from Sydney Grace. It is a well thought out color story, $10 cheaper with a coupon code, and IMHO a better overall formula than ND. With that being said, this is a beautiful color story. Morgan, thank you for the honest review. 🙂

Got mine today too!! Can’t wait to play w it! The green in the mini retro just does not work for me. Recently I reach into the green from ABH nouveau. The Lime crime also looks muddy on me. Looking forward to trying this color story. I feel like the tones are separate enough to be not as muddy as the other palettes.
