I had a version of this in a restaurant, poured over cubes of Granny Smith apples in a shallow bowl. I would never have thought of using the apples, but... wow.

I made an autumn bisque with two different types of butternut squash and acorn squash from the garden today! Roasted the halves with quartered onions and whole cloves of garlic. Also halves of apples roasted. Transferred all of it into the crockpot with some chicken stock and a plethora of spices. Yum!

Instead of directly adding the maple syrup, put it in a glass container with some chopped pecans and stick it in the microwave for 30 sec increments until the pecans are soft when pierced with a fork. The caramelized pecans drizzled on top of the soup taste AMAZING and look so gourmet 💕

I took the Prime Rib bones out of the freezer left over from Christmas last year and put them together with a bag of mixed beans, mirepoix and some chicken and beef broth and made the best soup ever. Going to have to try this one for sure.

I went to the farmers market here yesterday and after I was done getting my things there I walked over to this bench to sit down at and a little while later this lady comes by and asked me if she can sit there at the bench by me there and I said sure and she had gotten so yummy 😋 butternut squash soup there and she said it had walnuts in it and some sweet syrup on or in it,but yummy 😋.

I love this recipe… Maple syrup is a bit to expensive for our budget, so we added a large tablespoon of brown sugar for sweetness and I was great all the same! 👍🏻👍🏻

@@Natashaskitchen Your recipe is very different from mine. I use chicken broth, an onion, an apple and squash and 1/2 cup of milk or 1/2 and 1/2. Seasoned with s/p and nutmeg.
