Wow!!....Just did this recipe for Thanksgiving. It's so simple and comes out amazing. I did Half and Half instead of Milk. Combined Russet and Yukons. The garlic made the dish. Went a little less on the butter. Thank You Natasha.

Yessss! I do this all the time. I also season my heavy cream to make sure salt is spread nicely amongst the potatoes as I stir, kill two birds with one stone. Then make it creamier by mashing it with room temp. butter. Oof. Sour cream seems like a nice addition. Garlic too!

Just made it and it turned out very good! Recommend heavy cream instead of milk though. I was skeptical to discard the garlic, but the flavor was intense enough in the heavy cream. I also added freshly cracked white pepper.

Ms. Natasha, very nice recipe, being a 58 yr old Iirishman with rough hands I peel my potatoes with a thin blade, razor sharp paring knife with 4 to 5 peel strips, you get quick when you're my age & irish & eat potatoes nearly every day

I’ve never seen that garlic milk technique before. I just use a healthy few dashes of garlic powder and a big scoop of cream cheese 😋 your videos are great!

Natasha, I use a Titan Y shaped peeler. I have one for peeling and one for Julienne. They are great peelers. Also loved the tip about steaming the garlic cloves in hot milk for the garlic flavor. Better than using garlic powder. Well Done!

I didn't have chives so I garnished it with roasted red peppers & parsley , Which really tasted great but I'll have to try your boiled milk with garlic next time which might be tonight lol ...thank you darling!! This is great because I've never been able to make good garlic mashed before and now I know what I was doing wrong. I would just mince up garlic and mix it in but the heating it up in milk works so much better.

I do it different. In a saucepan, I SLOWLY sauté clarified butter and the garlic in VERY LOW heat and then let cool. I cook the potatoes, mash them and then whip them. When whipping them, I slowly add the butter and garlic. Tastes good.
