My dad and I have loved Nate Bargatze since his first Netflix special. There has always been something about him and his delivery that was SO much funnier to me but I just couldn't put my finger on WHAT that was and 'storytelling comedy' did not feel accurate because the punchline was not always about the 'story' per se. But you hit the nail on the head, its simply word play and linguistics, and use of pauses. Sometimes we will catch ourselves telling a story in his 'style' or even just talking that way because it is so funny. I really appreciated your thoughts and breakdown of his style of comedy!

I really like your approach to comedy. There's certainly a case to be made for people being "naturally funny", but be it comedy, music, or any creative endeavor ftm, even then, there's always an element of proven technique, be it subconscious or deliberate.
