FINALLY a major channel on here mentions Nate. I'm not necessarily here for Jonathan, but for those who are staunchly defending him even AFTER his guilty verdict, where was the support for Nate whose entire career was snatched away from him because he made a film that pissed off the powers that be in Hollywood??? That man was acting for years and nothing was ever said about the trial until he made the movie about Nat Turner. Then they gave the best actor Oscar that year to Casey Affleck who was accused of similar acts and settled his case out of court to avoid standing trial. My heart still breaks for Nate Parker to this day. That brother is a true talent.

Imagine being accused of something horrible that you did not do. Imagine resisting the urge to take a deal for a lessor sentence in favor of going to trial to clear your name. Imagine having a jury hear all of the evidence and finding you not guilty. After all of that, this man is being expected to answer for the suicide of someone who falsely accused him of a crime. Where is the compassion for him that cancel culture demands from him? He should rightly be bitter, not emotional, about what happened to him.

I figured they just wanted to take him down because of that movie. The movie was so good. It was essentially hid after that. I couldn't find it nowhere to rewatch it. It wasn't on any streaming site except Amazon for more money them they usually charge for a flick. The same with American Skin. The woman killing herself is honestly neither her nor there. India Arie gave an impromptu performance, Aja Niaomi King (his then co-star) spoke, Michael Nutter (former Mayor of Philadelphia) was also there but Nate Parker WAS the energy in the room. as the party slowly concluded, a White man (outside on the porch) asked me where Nate was and that his "people" were looking for him. he was now in the kitchen with 30 people surrounding him. i couldn't even get close enough the relay the message. the whole "Hollywood" thang is REAL. The woman didn't want to be dropped and replaced by a more beautiful and successful woman with class and self-worth. I knew men who felt trapped when the white woman threatened to kill herself and their children. I think about that everytime I see singet Adele; remember when purportedly in an emotional state in Las Vegas. It was said her relationship with that brother was shakey but blamed it on the sound system so cancelled her residency. That dude always look unhappy with her. Adele looks needy. He looks trapped.

Two different stories and neither are the same. Johnathan Majors was railroaded by Disney due to his contract. No one pushes a trial for a damn misdemeanor. Majors had a contract where he would collect 85% of his Marvel contract for any marvel films that he’s in whether they’re released or not. Since Disney is going through a rebuild stage they asked Majors to restructure his contract and he said no. The young lady initially stated she never said major assaulted her, the NYPD officer was the one who accused him which we saw on video. All of a sudden she changes her story out the blue. That was all Disney

Ten years ago, BW would've rallied for him. Today, a good percentage have chosen to stop rallying for BM due to the gender cyber war that's going on and the hate being pushed so publicly. And you can best believe THEY see this war, too, and they WILL continue to divide and conquer us ... and emasculate BM. The issue is, they now know BW will no longer protest with the same energy they used to, especially if the man they're emasculating chose Becky. 😕

Charlie Sheen. Rob Lowe is another one who made it back after he was with a minor on video doing a 3some. I could never understand why the media made it seem as if the accuser in Nate's case un-alived herself within the time frame of the case. She was in a drug rehab when she o'd in 2012. I think the hit piece was because his partner was found guilty and then they co-wrote the Nat Turner together. I did find out that his co-writer appealed but it never went to court because the accuser didn't want to testify. No doubt Nate should be working when we look at how his counterparts faired in interviews and in the business. Marvel/Disney kept Jeremy Renner and Josh Brolin after much worse. Jonathan shouldn't have been arrested. THERE IS NO REDEMPTION for a BLACK MAN.

On the flip side many people would have thought the 6 months isn't bad and wouldn't even have bothered to appeal. Nate made a black liberation movie and SA allegations that he’d not been found guilty of were used to make it fail, even his own people didn’t support it. Somehow we have to be absolutely perfect to make progress.

In my opinion Majors told hollyweird NO to something they wanted..and we all know that's a problem...they'll bring you up so very high and drop you just as low..he is a fabulous actor..stay free of these women who fetishize our men. He has learn a valuable lesson .

this is why i feel this case sounded so weird from the beginning....the pendulum was set up to swing in either direction

We can only hope he has learned a lesson. They usually "prefer" not to.

😩 I actually got these 2 mixed up because I remember Nate Parker was boycotted for accusations.

I blame Gabrielle Union for the rehashing of Nate Parker’s accusations because it was revealed back then that she wrote a letter to The NY Times about it

She did. She was also a victim of SA. I read what she said. She couldn't support him knowing he could do that to someone, and she knows what it felt like to go through that.

@@danabenson4125 yea I knew that and I empathize with her but why even take a role like that in the first place where u have to act your past traumas idk maybe it’s therapeutic to some but kinda odd in my opinion

@@ofdasunmoon4711 I feel like she did it because she played his wife and in the film he had to bring her to their white master to b assaulted and it triggered her that he was involved in a real like case even though he was aquitted

These demons made it seem like Majors was like the Flash dude or That 70's Show cat🤨

I'm going to say this and some will think doesn't make sense but it's good that brothers like Johnathan Majors is going through with this WW. This is a message to black men stop dating outside of your race.

I feel bad for Jonathan Majors in the situation. There were clear signs that he needed to leave that relationship a long time ago and yet he stayed. He knew she wasn't representing herself well for him and where he was trying to go. I know relationships are not always that simple to leave, but for him he should have distanced himself away from her.

I don’t think we should have put Robert Downey Junior in The comparison. He was kicked out of Hollywood for years, if I’m not correct. That’s why his reassurance in Iron Man was such a big thing. Even the studio didn’t want to hire him because of his past. The only reason he is back on top is because Iron Man was such a big hit.
@danabenson412510 ай бұрын
And Nate's career ain't been the same since. Jonathan is going to be black listed. I feel bad for both of them. I am not condoning SA or DV. I just believe if these would have been blk women, this would not have been handled this way. Race definitely played a heavy part in both situations.

So why don't these men learn their lesson and stop dating Karens? That's THEIR choice.

johnathan still has a chance. let him lay low for a bit and lets see what happens 1-2 years from now. for Christ sake it was a misdemeanor, that shit is nothing. that case should have never went to court.
