Monique has such integrity and dignity. I love how she is holding another human accountable for an indignity they did.... With humanity not self righteous indignity. Oprah breached a law of humanity by putting her mom on the show and not telling Monique about it, especially after the conversation they had about their mothers. It was a deliberate withholding of information on Oprah's part. The second phone conversation was made to deliberately silence a powerful black woman of the community. And the third conversation was such a narcissistic gaslighting. The facade of cordiality to get what you want.

People don't want to hear the truth. They have a certain way of looking at Oprah, they not gonna be moved by a woman that USED to have a promising career, sit there and talk about people still thriving in the business. Sadly, Monique has decided to make her career on bringing celebrities down instead of competing in the biz. She can't compete, that's why she focusing all her time & energy talking about HER PAST achievements, her past relationships in the biz. She is disconnected & DOA as far as a career. If she was still as talented in the biz, she would have been done killed them on stage, & took the opportunity to shine on Netflix. STUPID! Tired of hearing her talk, fr! She just making it so no one will work with her again on a money making level. She can produce her own stuff but it will be shitty & get a shitty reception. She stuck in a role that won't yield any real returns for her. Yeah the people may tag her as being 'REAL" but real what? Real BROKE. Real TIRED! Real BITTER!

I’m longing for the day when the black community will honor this black woman for standing against the status quo. She has paved the way for black women like Taraji to speak up for themselves. When it was unpopular to speak against the powers that be, she instead took all the hits and hateful talks so that the black women coming up behind her would and could have a chance to be treated and paid fairly in the entertainment industry. I was done with Oprah in the late 80’s when she did a show on us common people dare thinking that just because a celebrity is nice to us doesn’t mean they are our friends. 🤔 She walked up to this lady in the audience and put her hand on her shoulder and said, “just because I’m touching you doesn’t mean you can call me tomorrow.” I thought, if I was that lady, I would have said, “just because you’re a celebrity doesn’t mean you can touch me.” What an asshole.

"Obese black actress and “comedian” Mo’Nique is suing Netflix because the company “only” offered her $500,000 to tell some “white people be walkin’ funny ’n’ shit” jokes for a concert film. Mo’Nique’s argument is simple: Other comedians-Eddie Murphy, Jerry Seinfeld, Dave Chappelle, Amy Schumer, Ricky Gervais, and Chris Rock-got more than $500,000 for their Netflix specials. Therefore, Mo’Nique deserves exactly as much as they got, because whenever a black female gets less money than someone else, it’s because of racism and sexism (or as I like to say, raxism!)." - Dave Cole (Taki Magazine)

@Sharon ! So Oprah being friends with MJ while he was alive and then making something harmful about him when he is dead speaks to the character of Oprah Winfrey. If u don't see the parallel between that and what Monique is talking about then u are lost. We are not speaking to the success that Oprah has achieved we are speaking about her character. There are many successful people who are terrible people, money doesn't erase that. Oprah was also good friends with Harvey Weinstein it wasn't until he was publicly ostracized by #MeToo that she tried to distance herself from him (I'm pretty sure she knew the stories about him). What does Monique gain to lie on Oprah? Monique isn't the only person to say these things about her.

I had to walk through and learn how to forgive a person who wasn't even sorry and thier pride won't let them apologize. But I learned forgiveness releases me! I couldn't continue to dwell on all that pain in my heart. And no-one is worth that. Don't give them that power! They will be judged at the end and deep down I think Oprah is sorry, but she not going to let her know that bec it will prove Monique was right. And as I typing this I can see Oprah crying in the spirit.

Im confused with I’m a regular Christian? No christian is perfect but no need to offend those that fall shorter in their walk than yourself. It’s in times like this where you need to be most proud of being a Christian and practicing like a true one for those that need a right example. As Christians being humble is difficult in our human nature but it’s something that must be practiced. I’m trying to have you acknowledge how that phrase on it’s own sounds “regular Christian” I’m not trying to offend please take it as an advice and eye opener. God Bless!
@Denise23451

Mel well that’s a first! You somehow seem to feel I belittled you? When in reality I was describing myself “regular Christian” I fall short compared to other Christians. I could do better. “Good Christians” truly live out there faith. “Regular Christians” I’m in the middle here 🤷‍♀️ “Bad Christians” Christians who don’t practice. I’m still confused as to how comment offended you? I never stated I was a perfect Christian. Far from it! I believe you need to look within yourself. Find the healing you need so a simple comment like mine. Does not offend you. .
@Me-ih3ge
@Me-ih3ge 3 жыл бұрын
Momma Jim I’m not offended or feel belittled. Sorry messages sound different than in person at times. We ALL are sinners, don’t ever consider yourself a regular Christian what’s hard for you to change leave it to GOD. Believe he can change you. I usto think of myself as a “regular Christian” as well, and I thought I wouldn’t ever change certain things one of them being how I loved to dress (in today’s standards in fashion almost half naked) but GOD strips down what we truly believe we can’t. Remember when you call yourself a Christian at that moment many who do believe or not believe in the highest and ONLY living GOD immediately either wants to attack your own your beliefs or connect with you as a sister in Christ... so don’t think of yourself as a regular we represent the whole Christian community who GOD is (once we say we are Christians). We are just a work in process.. for better...

Wow, you are so easily led. I'm not fans of Ellen, she's funny but I never watch her show and Oprah is likewise funny and very intelligent, I grew up watching her show but I wouldn't say I was FANS of either. I've been seeing all these Ellen and Oprah bashing videos recently...why? It seems like a particular person, group, or maybe political party, is trying to get people to turn on them. Why do people (is it only an America thing?) love to raise certain people up where they are almost royalty to one day gang up on the star and bring them down? It's like everyone at once turns on them (not EVERYONE but many), are people just easily gaslit/brainwashed into going along with the mob? Do people get a sadistic kick out of kicking others down a peg, especially those a few pegs above them (in terms of money, fame and perceived happiness)? It's strange that's all. I don't see how either of these woman are any different than they were in the beginning....except, now, someone* had a vendetta against them. "They make themselves look humble and good". Uh, they are human beings, not saints. Maybe you shouldn't of placed them on a pedestal. It seems like YOU bought into the "hero" package and now you're buying into the "villain" one...they're probably neither. How about working on your own flaws instead of magnifying theirs....just a suggestion.

@@susanivy3619 If you meet someone and get a good impression and like them like a friend and after a while you would see and hear things completely opposite to what you thought they were, would you still be friends with them? I know i couldn't. It's the faking (or seeing their true colors) what makes people turn. It's not "america things".

Just listening to this lady here tells me she would feel relieved if she tells OW how she feels. I trust no media figures anymore. Mo'nique, I'm sorry for your ordeal. You're lucky to have a great, supportive husband.

I spoke about this on my channel many times! Being genuine is the best because superficial can only last so long! The universe is working in her favor and it had to reveal those in this crazy industry who mean her no good!!! This had to happen before God moves in a great way on her behalf for being genuine!! I CAN NOT WAIT TO SEE IT!!!

"I'm sorry you feel that way" and "If you think I did something wrong, I'm sorry" are examples of gaslighting. People do that all the time to try and make you question your perception of their wrongdoings.

The same thing was said to me at work. There is a co-worker that jumps in people's face and I was told: "I'm sorry you feel that way". But I let it be known recently that it will be the last time that person jumps in my face.

Nunayo Bisnez, bulls eye!! 45 years ago when I had my son, the doctor skipped a day visiting me, so I just mentioned it to him and he insisted he did...as he leaves the room, with me still insisting what I KNEW, he stops at the door turns to me, "well, if that's what you think" and walks out. I told my boyfriend, he immediately goes to the head of must have been the maternity department, ( I was thinking hospital), next day, apologized. I was 25yrs old then and today I am 71 years old and realize when I say I'm sorry, I just say "I'm sorry I hurt you or made you feel___" no, explanation unless they want it and also if they don't accept it, I own up that is their choice., even it it means a loss of a relationship I treasure. Peace and happy new year and happy life. ~
