People are so critical of Nate using this for his solo record, he wrote the song with Nate Harold, the touring bassist of Fun. When he seen jack was doing Bleachers and seemed to have quite a lot of invested interest in it (they were touring when harsh light was performed). So when studio time wasn't working and he decided to write his own record he had the option scrap a fantastic tune that probably wouldn't get on a new fun. Record after his album because it would be considered "too old" like WTF, so what he really did was save a classic Nate Ruess song from being sweeped under the carpet. It doesn't matter if Fun. Are together or not as much as I would love to see them performing again, the fact is their three individuals with the right to try different artistic paths and that should be applauded, Long live Nate, Andrew and Jack, three underrated geniuses.
