mmm honestly am I the only person who had massive asexual aromanatic vibes from Ivypool before Fernsong came in? Everyone gets lesbian vibes from her, but I always seen her as someone who wasn't interested in romance. Probably because she is one of my favorite characters who I relate to strongly, so I might have reflected my own orientation onto her. Don't get me wrong, I do support people who ship her with Blossom, as long they don't take it too far but AUs where she is acearo is perfection in my eyes.

Thats just how words work. Personally, I love Fernsong and Ivypool. Fernsong is one of my favorite characters honestly. I love the idea of him being this stay at home dad. It flips the whole “fathers do the work and mothers stay home” narrative and I honestly love it. They’re like... fourth or fifth cousins too, so them being related actually means almost nothing. They share such like, less than 1% dna so that doesn’t bother me. I can see why some people would be weirded out by the age gap, but it’s not much different than Bramblestar and Squirrelflight or Thornclaw and Blossomfall. Although, I do have a separate headcanon for Ivypool. Ivyoool is in a poly relationship with Fernsong and Blossomfall and Thornclaw.

I definitely head cannon In the closet Trans-Boy Millie. She was such a good character in the manga, but the writers completely flipped her on her head when she got back to the clans. It made me really sad to see her turn into a cruel, unloving mother, and left me scrambling for reasons to explain her change in behaviour. For that reason, I headcannon that she’s very dysphoric and wants to be a boy, but feels like she can’t. This would explain why she is quite angry with her children. She does not know that Graystripe is Bi, and with Silverstream waiting for him in Starclan, she doesn’t want to do anything that could cause her to lose him. When Briarlight is on her death bed, she tells her mother to accept herself for who she is and live the rest of her life as who she wants to be. Millie comes out as a trans-boy to Graystripe and the other queens, and of course, he is overjoyed. Millie mends ties with Blossomfall, who now has kits of her own, and is in a secret lesbian relationship with Ivypool, and spends a lot of time with his grandkits.

im sorry, but as a trans man , i simply cannot advocate for he/him lesbians (or shegays, for that matter). for me, my pronouns being male is vastly important. if a different pronoun set(?) was for men, i’d use those. for me, pronouns signify gender. being referred to with she/her pronouns is hurtful towards me because they imply that i am female, which i am not. although i do support my nonbinary friends and will fight for them tooth and nail, i do not support those who mess around with pronouns like its some sort of dress-up game. i do not in any way intend for this to be hateful, instead, i am trying to educate and make clear my position. i won’t unsubscribe from you just for this one disagreement, as i really do enjoy your animations, but i hope you can understand where i’m coming from.

For someone else it's equally important, but for different reasons- another person's identity is not an attack on your own.

Trust me, I know that pain- There are days when being called ma'am in public can bring me to tears, just like that. It doesn't matter if im out in a binder and a suit- people still think I'm a girl. But different forms of expression mean different things to different people- a good example is the word queer. I'm sure you know how much discourse there is around the word- but it's hard to say that its black or white. For some people, reclaiming a word that was used as an insult, and turning it into something beautiful is empowering. It's taking it away from someone who wants to use it to hurt us. For other people, refusing to use something that was made to hurt us is empowering. Both parties have reasons for why they feel differently, based on who they are and what their experiences are. For some people, it can be comforting and empowering to fit into a common identity trope, especially for trans people- to adopt and embrace traditionally male things to be seen as male and feel validated! it makes sense! and for other people, absolutely refusing those stereotypes, challenging them and doing the opposite can be empowering. Every person is different, and what might be empowering to one person might be very harmful to another- but the problem, the people who are hurting us are transphobic people who refuse to use our pronouns or validate our identities, not the innocent lesbians transphobes use as an excuse. it pits us against eachother rather than a common enemy.

ack this is mostly just a squirrelflight post sorry ignore my stupid rambles. AVOS/Crowfeather's Trial spoilers. I really love most of these headcanons, but I have to disagree with you on one thing: Squirrelflight's lie, and Squirrelflight in Leafpool's Wish, was not out of character. This is my biggest issue with the fandom and Squirrelflight is that they act as though she is a selfless, caring, infallible tough girl. She is not. This has come up over and over again; most recently in AVOS, she told Jayfeather that he shouldn't be mad at her at all for what happened and that it was "all leafpool's fault and idea," essentially. She NEVER would have helped Leafpool if Yellowfang hadn't lied to her; she loves her sister, but she's also a very strict, loyal clan cat. We see this reflected in the two she-cats she's raised; Hollyleaf, who practically breathed the warrior code instead of air, and Sparkpelt, who has shown to be very dedicated to traditional clan life. (lots of quotes about hating kittypets and skyclan go here) Squirrelflight doesn't have to be selfless, caring, doting, anything else in that field to be great. In fact, her true character seems to be a lot more like Dustpelt - and that's no surprise! Considering he was her mentor. And also considering Sandstorm has some of those personality traits - though falling in love with Firestar and going on Firestar's Quest gave her a whole new perspective that gave her character more flexibility and understanding. i just wish the fandom would embrace the squirrelflight actually portrayed in the books instead of being like EVERYTHING I DONT AGREE WITH IS NOT CANON AND IS OUT OF CHARACTER. The only way to get Squirrelflight to do what you want is to give her something she wants. i wish the fandom would recognize that she's selfish. Canonly, she's "selfish." From her very first journey to the sun-drown place; she decided she wanted to go, and nothing was going to stop her. She was going. She wants kits but can't have them? She gets kits. Her driving factors aren't really... selfless. She wants what she wants, so she does what it takes to get there. For her. Not for anyone else. she's selfish in the most basic sense of the word - thinking of oneself, not necessarily in a bad way. But she has redeeming qualities that make up for that? Dedication, discipline, and is clearly a good mentor to other cats (so many apprentices!). She's got her heart in a good place even if she doesn't always know how to get there, and sometimes that seems to frustrate her. She cares about other's feelings even if she gets hot in a moment and doesn't think. She's an awesome, selfish cat who kicks ass and thinks she's (mostly) flawless and I really love her for that.

As a trans man the He/Him lesbian thing really strikes my dysphoria- like super hard and I know that’s not the intention. But the argument “ sorry I know it’s a not an argument but ! “ that pronouns are just words. They are words but those words are super important to me. And other trans people as well. I know this is 3 years old, but I would like to explain a bit. Some lesbians are nonbinary (woman-aligned) and use he/him pronouns for whatever reason. Some may be dysphoric about she/her pronouns but not about the term lesbian. And I know you can't really control your feelings, but a lesbian using he/him has nothing to do with you or any other trans man. What pronouns someone uses is purely personal. A lesbian using he/him pronouns does not mean that you are not a man. Also, I think the "pronouns are just words" part is about how language is descriptive, not prescriptive, and you can use them to express yourself however you want/need. Gender can be really complicated for some people, and their expression and the words they use can be all over the place. I'm a lesbian, and I use they/them pronouns because she/her makes me dysphoric. But me using they/them and being a lesbian doesn't mean that nonbinary people how use they/them and are attracted to women are automatically all lesbians. It only has to do with me and how I define myself. Hope this clears things up.

Sorry but saying pronouns are "just words" is literally the same excuse for everything that is harmful. Many people say slurs are just words but they're still not right to use when you can't reclaim them (also of course given the context of some things). I would understand the use of a set of pronouns that do not apply to your gender if it meant for survival, like being killed or even just not being ready to come out and have the proper set of pronouns for you to use. Saying pronouns are just words just gives either uneducated or transphobic cis people another reason to misgender trans people, as the same for saying slurs are just words that gives homophobes or racists the reason to use those words and throw them around like candy.

yasssss I love your LGBT headcanons! Though to be fair, Ivypool and Fernsong's age difference (a little over two years) is definitely not the worst in the series. Willowpelt is almost three years younger than Tawnyspots, Runningwind is almost 4 years younger than Dappletail, and Jake is over 7 years older than Tallstar (thought that last one is only based off a timeskip that was mentioned on an author's Facebook, so I tend to ignore that) And I can will never be able to sleep at night knowing that Dustpelt is Ferncloud's uncle... I want to share my opinion about your reasons for disliking Fernsong and Ivypool. Before I start I want to say your opinion is valid and I'm not trying to come off as a douchebag. I'm just saying what I think about your reasons. The age gap is understandable. While to me it doesn't really matter, I can see why someone could dislike them being together due to age gap The prophecy is what I'm confused about. The prophecy wasn't to do with Fernsong, it was to do with Jay, Lion and Dovewing. Yes Lionblaze is Fernsong's dad, to me I think they aren't that much related. Dove and Ivy are related to Firestar by Cloudtail, their grandfather and Firestar's nephew. While Lionblaze is Firestar's grandson, making Fernsong Firestar's great grandson. Yes they both have a relation to Firestar. I think Ivypool is distant enough from Firestar. Like I said I the start I'm not trying to be a douchebag. If anything I'd love to know more about why you aren't keen on that ship so I can understand it better

I hope this doesn't come off as rude or accusing, and your feelings and opinions are entirely valid (and I completely understand as a Transmasculine/Genderqueer folk), but I feel like Twigbranch being trans because they do not want kits has some misogynistic undertones: Being a woman and not wanting children is entirely normal and okay. You do not have to want or feel desire to have kids if you are a woman. It is completely okay and understandable to feel *opposed* to it. The idea that it makes you not-female just because of this stems off the idea that women have to have children-- an idea stemmed from misogyny and sexism. Women do not have to have children to be any more of a women. It gives off the idea that "men don't want to have children, while women always do!". It makes me uncomfortable with how it gives off the idea that because she doesn't want any kids, that is why she is trans. You can headcannon any character as transgender as long as it is not harmful, really, but using a character not wanting children as a reasoning supports the idea that all women who are opposed/disgusted with the idea of being pregnant/having kids is bad and all women should want kids. I know this is an old post, but looking back on this after a while with a more mature mindset than when I had initially watched it sorta made me think about it. I think the point you've missed though is that you've interpreted it as me saying that BECAUSE twigbranch doesn't want kids they're not female- whereas that's not what I wanted to convey. Not wanting children is a common experience among dfab trans people- not all, but many. It's not that it disqualifies this character from being female- I don't interpret ivypool as trans, but I don't think she should have wanted kids either and I would have much preferred to see her as a non mothering woman. It's just that the specific way twigbranch talks about it rings similar to my own experiences, and compounded with other facets of twigbranches characterization, this trait is just one of several that support that trans interpretation for me.

Ok but like Ivypool x Fernsong is honestly my otp tho lol I picture Ivy as Bi because let’s be honest, she wanted Blossomfall so bad, but Blossom loved Thornclaw. A few years down the line she starts to slowly fall for Fernsong. They’re complete opposite on most things, she’s rough and tough but he’s kind and gentle. Asexual Mousefur is my headcanon. Or Les Mousefur because I kinda shipped her with Goldenflower. I believe that Goldenflower was horrified about what Tigerstar did. After he died, she felt scared and horrible so retired, also with age. After retiring, she got closer with Mousefur and opened up to her. Longtail was into her, but knew she loved Goldenflower. When Goldenflower died, Mousefur was heartbroken and turned to Longtail. He went to get the mouse because he felt like she might like him more. Then...you know...the tree fell. I promise to properly apologize once I know whatever inappropriate thing I said, because to my knowledge, ...I don't see anything that could personally insult a trans person . I'm not being sarcastic or facetious, I genuinely don't know and would like to improve. I'm specifically talking about the people who claim they are another gender, but never transition, nor do they ever want to. If you want to transition to the opposite sex, that's great! But I don't understand why (for example) when a biological man would want to be referred to as a girl because of his femininity. You can be a male AND feminine. Why do people have to fall back on sexist stereotypes from ages ago?? You can be a male and like girly things, and vice versa!

@@wizzaroot honestly a lot of what you're saying is offensive but I'll give it a stab. First of all, trying to say pronouns are 'biological terms' I don't even know where you got that idea but its just not true. He/him and she/her do have connotations, I'm willing to bet that 100% of the time if I call someone she you assume she's a girl because that's what those words have grown to mean over the years. You could be wrong, you'd never know. Someone doesn't just 'want' to be another gender, they just are! That's how they are, just like someones gay. Its not a choice anymore than being gay is. You can be male and feminine of course, but hey, if they tell you they're a girl, they're a girl, and also feminine! Or they can be a masculine male that tells you they're a girl and hey, they're a masculine girl! Also fine. Gender vs feminine/masculine are not connected. Related, yes. You don't understand why someone wants to go against their 'biological sex' and hey, your cis, you're not supposed to. But to put it simply, its cause they aren't their 'biological sex' that's just not who they are, and they don't like people trying to tell them what they are. Anymore than a gay man would appreciate you asking why he'd go against biology to be with men instead of women or something like that. Not everyone can or wants to transition and honestly your opinion, as a cis person, doesn't matter there. Gender /is/ a spectrum. Scientifically.

Theres this person who is a male and says hes a lesbian in my school, and in school like 30% is LGBTQ (only 2 people are trans, me and my friend just a little flex on you) and like %60 are supportive, but with this guy everyone was like nah that's not how it works, but he just kept on doing it.. later it turns out it was for attention -_-
