When I was in college me and 3 friends were heading back to UGA from a Braves game and I convinced them to swing by Krispy Kreme on the way home. I kept talking about how hungry I was and how I was gonna “pound a dozen.” When we got there my friends all ordered 2 donuts a piece and I bought a dozen and some whole milk. I knew I was gonna need something to wash it down with. Everyone ate their donuts with no problems except me. I ate 2, maybe 3 donuts, and felt more full than I ever have in my life. I blamed it on all the whole milk I was drinking, but that wasn’t good enough for my friends. They’ve never let me live it down, even 10 years later, and rightfully so. It’s one of the biggest games I’d ever talked to immediately have the least clutch performance of my life. Needless to say I wasn’t surprised when none of you ate as many as you thought you would, except for Bagpipes. He put me and y’all to shame. Love the show! Thanks for always keeping it light and hilarious.

I coached high school basketball in Green Bay WI. To celebrate the end of the season me and 10 of the players went to Curly’s Pub at Lambeau Stadium to take on the “Lambeau Heap” burger challenge (1lbs Burger w/ smoked bacon, cheese curds, crispy onion straws and coleslaw on an 8in pretzel roll in addition you have to finish your curly fries and a milk shake - all in all about 2,563 calories) All 10 of us ordered the “Lambeau Heap” so the manager made us a main attraction since it was a slow night and started seating people all around us, egging us on and even brought out the shirt you win if you complete the challenge all in attempt to get us to eat more. One of the players pushed past his “wall” as Aaron puts it, and got sick at the table. The manager instantly flipped a switch and went from cheering us on to making us all get up immediately pay for our half-eaten burgers and leave the stadium. Easily the best and worst eating experience of my life.

Every year Raleigh NC hosts the Krispy Kreme challenge. A 5 mile race where you eat a dozen donuts half way through the race. Thousands of people race. The best part is there is a line of trash cans at the end of the race. Very few make it to the trash can so if you’re slow you reach a finish line of Krispy Kreme vomit sludge

I’m late to this episode since I only discovered the podcast a month ago!🤷🏼♀️ But, 42 years ago, practically to this day (8/7/23) I was 8 and a half months pregnant with my first child, my husband was on a submarine and I was spending the weekend with my BFF and her husband. She and I got a craving for Krispy Kreme’s. The “hot light” was on when we got there so…yumm! We ate the entire dozen sitting in her car, (they go down much easier when they’re hot!), then had to buy another dozen to take home so her husband wouldn’t know we’d already had our fill. We had to power through and eat more when we got home just to keep our little secret safe! We were sick as dogs the rest of the night!
