Oh yeah, the old classic two elk to Minturn. My buddy and I first rode that way back in 2000 on hard tails. Started in Vail, rode to up to the top of the ski lifts, down commando run, followed 2 elk to Minturn, had a big burger at the cougar Inn, rode/hiked back up cougar ridge and back down to vail! Those were the days. You guys made it look so much easier and faster, James was absolutely smoking it. Cheers!

Those side hits starting around 10:40 were way too savage to go unnoticed, killer riding James.

Seriously, the last 3 miles of that trail are painful for many riders... to see that much speed and flow at the end of a chunk-marathon is both humbling and inspiring.

James sees the trail differently. An object in the trail is not something to be avoided (or ridden around). An object is to be boosted off or over for maximum efficiency and fun. So cool. Nate thanks for showing us this world.

Love this video edit man. Mountain biking in its purest form. No music, just wheels on dirt, the sound of hubs, the occasional stoke comment, out in nature, flowing trails, and absolute monster riding. Keeps me in the sport and watching these vids. 🤙🏼. New sb140 should be arriving in a few weeks, stoked to try it out here in the pacific nw on some Oregon trails. Love the content. 👍🏼

Need rain!!! How does this compare with the Crest?
@jacobtubbs23244 жыл бұрын
I've ridden both several times and love both rides. Monarch Crest feels more epic, it's higher and is several big descents with climbs in between. This ride, depending on how you do it, is basically one big descent once you top out at Vail. It never has that truly epic above treeline feel that the Crest does but it is amazing in its own way, and dropping through the open meadows into the creek valley is very cool. There is some fairly decent exposure to the creek on your left in a few spots.
@natehills93884 жыл бұрын
I agree with Jacob’s assessment.

@@jacobtubbs2324 Thanks...I have to agree on the Crest. So much to ride in western Colorado.
