NATE, it's been awhile since your last video. You are having way too much fun in the Philippines. I'm not too jealous. My Filipino wife of almost 46 years is currently on Mactan Island, Cebu repairing our home after the typhoon that spent way too much time siting on top of our house. Work almost done, hotel stay ended right after my wife finished her stay, I am age 79 and haven't been able to come back for over 2 years.. I can't wait - Seeing all the marvelous things to come in Clark, makes me wish I was as young as you are again. Now I am jealous.

Hi Nate, great video with much variety. It is amazing how much development and building there is in the Philippines. Seeing all of the variety of the animals in the Zoo was great. Interesting to see how McDonalds developed places for people biking to stop and eat at the tables outside. The most unique part of the video was the Wild West city of El Kabayo. What a nice job they did in developing and planning it. The water park looked very fun filled and satisfying to visit. As always, your enthusiasm and encouraging words were a great highlight.

Clark is much better than BGC. Those wide tree-lined pedestrian/bike lanes are beautiful. BGC does not even have bike lanes before the pandemic. And their sidewalks are not that wide either. Clark has much better urban planning, more greenery and more facilities for outdoor activities. But then BGC is small compared to Clark.
@JC08202 жыл бұрын
@@minyoung823 Lol, I think he is talking about, based on popularity, it will be similar to or even greater than BGC; don't be toxic to people who compare places. We all know that newly developed places are always better than old ones, because that's how it should be. BGC was only recently constructed; it is constantly compared to other best cities in the world, which is why he says Clark is the next BGC; so relax, bruh, and let's see what happens to Clark. As of now, what we are seeing is a very good indication that it will be.

@@minyoung823 Fact? You literally dissect every aspect of why Clark is for you; will become better than BGC, where he just said it will be like BGC in the sense that it will be popular too. You don't have to compare apples and oranges, bruh. That is not the way to state a fact. He just said something like, "Apples are like oranges," because they are both fruits, so they are alike. But here you are, rushing in and saying no, apples are blah blah, and oranges are better, blah blah. See what I mean?😂😂

Hi Nate! I happened upon your video and am so glad I did. I was a nurse stationed at Clark when the volcano erupted. I worked Labor and Delivery. I delivered the last baby on the night shift. I covered everything, grabbed the high risk charts, turned off the lights, one last look and walked away. Never to return. The areas you showed in your video, I traversed. From the main level, the front door to the covered walkways. Those elevators were frequently breaking down. Scary. I had to climb out on one occurrence. I worked right around the corner from ICU and was on duty when Chuck Norris crew were brought in. I rode the elevator with Chuck. Seeing the hospital brought back a flood of memories. The times we took breaks by climbing out a window to sit on the overhang to get fresh air. I'd like to mention how beautiful the base was. Not a grain of sand out of place until the volcano erupted that is. We employed thousands of locals. The base has all that land preserved thanks given to the U.S.A.F. for preserving it all those years. I was privileged to be part of that Era. You painted Avery nice picture of the area. I read there is a zoo on base? If I read that correctly? I frequently visited the zoo and stables when off duty as I love animals. The zookeeper was the nicest man. I loved feeding the flying fox. I can still hear the howler monkey. I was so worried about the animals when the volcano erupted and have always wondered how they fared. I am looking forward to watching more of your videos. I enjoy your style. Great job!

If it comes to size and attractions the Clark Safari beats the Manila Zoo. But it is an unfair comparison. It will be like a quail egg vs an ostrich egg in terms of land area. If Manila decides to close and sell the zoo property, I bet land developers would be falling over each other lining up and bidding on that piece of land at humongous price comparable to the ostrich egg and make the land value of the Safari the quail egg. Cheers from planet Pluto. Oh yeah, "Nate the Great," nice video as always. Keep them coming and thank you!

Hi Nate, a new subscriber from the Washington, DC area! Thank you for sharing this video - fascinating, informative, and most importantly, educational. I've been watching/ following different bloggers, reading and doing research on the expectation and learning living in Manila, in a province, or one of the islands. After all that, my husband and I decided on BGC; however, after watching your blog, this area might be what we need because it's “more like our cup of tea,” very laid back, and not as congested. My husband retired from the DOJ, and I am soon a retiree from the same agency! We’re also excited about the pending projects/constructions you’ve mentioned, and we hope that one of the unfinished constructions will cater to retirees and top-notch medical facilities. Since we plan to live there for six months and the remainder will be in California, where I grew up and with all my family - so I decided to get my dual citizenship and look forward to it. Anyway, see you on your following videos featuring the completed projects! Well, take care, stay safe, and may God bless us all - peace❣️🇺🇸🇵🇭❣️

What I noticed missing on this place is an indoor arena so that Clark can host events like concerts, sports activities, beauty pageants, & other international events. Another structure to be built would a big exhibition center similar to that of Feria de Madrid so that international exhibitions can be held. Spain, France, Italy, & Germany normally host the biggest worldwide pharmaceutical event the CPhI (Convention of Pharmaceutical Ingredients) which Philippines can possibly host the South East Asian version. Indonesia had already hosted once. Thanks for featuring Clark & you did a great job on this video! We Filipinos thank you so much & God bless! 🙏👍😊❤️

The Philippines can already host international conventions. There is the SMX in MOA. The SM Arena can host beauty pageants and they have already done it. But if you want them hosted in Clark, then maybe it is not yet possible. But if you are talking about the whole Philippines, then Metro Manila can host them.
@elmercelo93572 жыл бұрын
@@wavemaker2077 I'm talking Clark only. I want it all activities to be there. International Airport is there, hotels of all star levels are there, the beautiful landscape is there, no traffic, then it's the best place to hold those events I've mentioned outside Metro Manila. I know already those facilities you mentioned. Thanks anyway for your comments.

A lot of concerts and conventions, even the exhibition for Philippine centennial, were held at Expo pilipino or now called Clark expo. I’m not just sure if it still caters the same kind of events.

KZbin should come out with something to rate a video other than just "like" and "dislike"...a Star rating, for example... This vlog unquestionably ranks high up in the ladder with the incredible amount of information with crystal clear narrative. Five Stars *****Nate!

Nicely done, Nate! I am happy to see that the redevelopment of New Clark is sympathetic to the American vision that its former occupier had in mind when they first developed it during the turn of the 20th century. In the video, one can easily mistake New Clark for a small city in the US!

They should include OPEN spaces, such as parks, walkways, and playgrounds. The buildings should have HEIGHT restrictions, and wide roads with bike lanes with trees, and plants in the center, all utility cables like electricity, cable tv and internet should be UNDERGROUND, no DANGLING cables, it's an EYE soar. All street lights, parking lights should be powered by solar.

Hi Nate, what can I say that hasn't already been said hahaha! Well, I'll say, what a fantastic video and well worth the wait - even though it was a long wait hahaha! Excellent work. Finally, after more than 2 years, I should be back in Philippines myself next month, just got to hope I get that negative PCR test! I first went to Clark in 2017, lucky I did, as I was able to secure some business for my company with the new Marriott that had just started construction. I was a frequent visitor during that time and was impressed with Clark back then, but your recent videos have impressed me beyond expectations. I guess the owners of Zoobic won't be too happy about the new safari park. Anyway Nate, thank you again, I'd like to you meet you for a coffee or beer (I'll buy) when I come to Clark in March or April.
