I recently discovered Nate's stand-up while going through a rough patch a few months ago, but I was an immediate fan. This podcast has become my solace during my lonely graveyard shifts at work. I'm support staff at a homeless shelter, and some nights can be unbearably boring. There are so many moments during this podcast where I've had to stifle my laughter, so I don't wake up the residents at ungodly hours. The cows wearing the pants almost killed me. Thank you for the laughs, you guys :) please tour the PNW soon!

Hey Bear. I’m not having a good time. Been awake all night doing an experiment; my husband is in snoring denial. Every time I hear him snorting like a farm animal, I hit record on my phone. I’ve done some sound editing and he’s about to wake up to the sounds of his own snores! He can sleep through my all-night Nateland marathons- I keep my phone under my pillow. He did ask me about the guys I’m sleeping with and I knew what he meant. His helpful idea is that I should go to sleep earlier. We’re about to have an epic dumb marriage fight over this. He’s snoring again.
@kriashun2 жыл бұрын
Ohh Ive been there-so many dumb arguments! I finally told him if you say that you’re not snoring then you are saying that I am lying-and he knew I wasn’t somebody who made up stories or lied. That didn’t really fix it but I stuck to it and started sleeping on the couch in order to get any sleep! We’re not together anymore lol not from that, or maybe?🤔 he is now his current wife’s problem!!😳😎

Hello Folks! My 14 year old son and I are HUGE fans of Nateland and listen every week. We were listening in the car ride home from school when Bates mentioned the idea of listening at 2xs speed. I tried it and we didn't care for it. The next option is 1/2 speed and I clicked that. My son and I laughed harder than I thought was possible because all of you sounded completely intoxicated and the beginning banter on the Dakotas was surprisingly believable as things intoxicated people would say. You really should listen to a portion of the show at half speed to see what Im talking bout. Keep up the great work. My wife and I bought tickets to Nate's show in Baton Rouge in February.

I traveled from Northwest Indiana to Oregon in 2017 and took I-90 through South Dakota and remember seeing signs for this mysterious place called "Wall Drug." But what was weird about it was how far away this place still was. The sign read "Stop at Wall Drug in 394 miles" and then subsequent distances from there on until you arrive in this weird place that ultimately ends up being a giant strip mall size gift shop with ice cream, food, miscellaneous South Dakota themed gifts and clothes, and so much more. It was an experience for sure! Just thought it was a South Dakota staple worth mentioning!

Nate - We just saw you in Cedar Rapids last night. It was a "mental health" break for me and my family. Laughter is so good for the spirit! I laughed so hard that my stomach hurt and I had to keep wiping my eyes. 🤣 There was no way I could go without telling you what happened on the way in to the venue. We took my MIL with us to the show. She was not really familiar with your comedy. Right before they checked tickets, we had to go through metal detectors. As she went through, the alarm went off. They asked her if she had anything in her pockets and she said keys. Was it her keys? My husband suggested they try with the keys, or without; let's see what happens. Maybe they've been lying to us all this time. I looked at my daughter and said, "No way that just happened.....AS we are walking in to see Nate!"😆😆 Thanks for being who you are and sharing it with us all! We went to South Dakota this year for vacation. Driving through the scenic route of the Badlands was the best part. The sun was setting, we got to see wild rams and bison, and my sons ran around the hills pretending to be outlaws. That was a relief because it had been a ROUGH vacation day the previous day at Mt. Rushmore. Sadly, we didn't visit North Dakota. Maybe if Aaron had been in charge of marketing we would have. Or maybe not, afterall they've had gimmicks before. They named their capital Bismarck to attract German immigrants and the state's population speaks for itself. I hope Aaron's new vocation will lead [North] Dakota to new heights. I'll go proofread this now.

Fireworks are used to protect the sunflowers from the birds. Sometimes farmers put "cannons" out in the field that fire off periodic bangs in an attempt to scare away the birds. My father-in-law attempted to scare away the birds so they wouldn't eat the seeds, but they eventually became accustomed to the periodic booms, making the strategy ineffective. Love the podcast and I'm looking forward to seeing Nate in Sioux Falls.

As a resident of the south Dakota, I am both excited but bracing for the jokes... Edited to tell y'all what we've got: first of all our official desert is Kuchen (yum), not only do we have Mt. Rushmore but we also have the Crazy Horse monument (my cousin is a great great great grandson of the great warrior), we have AMAZING walleye fishing here on Lake Oahe, and Sitting Bull's burial site overlooks the river (although it's disputed if it's actually his bones here or if they're in Fort Yates-quite the ordeal around his bones...people went back and forth stealing his bones between Mobridge and Ft. Yates although I don't know why). We also have the Sturgis Rally where you can sometimes have a meet and greet with members of the Hell's Angels (yikes). We also have amazing artists John Lopez and Del Iron Cloud. And remember the amazing story of Hugh Glass (The Revenant)? And as far as low UFO sightings go, I know a few ranchers who have seen and heard some STUFF... they just don't report it

2 things: 1. I went to Peru over the summer and met a Peruvian kid while there. I asked him if he ever wanted to visit the US and what he’d like to see. After a while of translating he said the biggest thing he wanted to see was Mount Rushmore. He said he “looked up to those presidents.” So I guess that shows people in other countries do think about Rushmore over other rock monuments 2. I have been to Dinosaur National Park and the reason they don’t have every single bone of a dinosaur is because most of the places they find dinosaur bones were once water sources like rivers, therefor, when a dinosaur would die, a lot of the smaller bones would be washed downstream.

Well, thanks to Aaron, we all know Nate's address now......54:09. Nate, I think you've gotta make some changes there!

I’ve had an epiphany. People who have seen all four of them live could be called B.A.N.D. members. Band is can be an acronym using the first letter of all of their names. Love the show and strive to become a band member myself.

I was on a date night with my wife at a comedy club once in peoria Illinois. We purchased our tickets online before the show. We showed up to the show 10 min before it was supposed to start and there was literally 2 other people there. So a comic named Johnny Beaner. Played a show for 2 couples I felt terrible for him but him and his opener did a full show for us. What's the smallest crowd you had to perform for.

Beanner is a pretty funny dude. That's sad.

I know you all are mostly Vandy fans, but the head football coach of the Tennesse Vol's (Josh Heupel) is from Aberdeen, S. Dakota.

I'm surprised when BB Gun mentioned that John Krasinski looked like he could play basketball he failed to mention how Brian Baumgartner (Kevin Malone) is shown sinking shot after shot during the end credits. What makes it funnier was the way Michael Scott was totally blowing him off every time Kevin said he wanted to play. I believe there's an extended outtake on the DVD where BJ Novak keeps passing him the basketball and Brian sinks like 10 in a row. Novak said he wouldn't miss! -Scott Crawford

Hello Folks, I love that every time I listen to this podcast, I find myself googling things that Nate claims is true, and I am always rooting for him to be correct....but then it is inevitable wrong. For example, coyotes have killed humans before, even though it is very rare! Literally wait every week to listen to this podcast, I think you are all great! PS. I do usually learn something every week, even if it is from the comments correcting the boys from the previous episode!
