Besides the humor and great laughs your Podcast is perfect because of the three generations you are. You are bringing that to many homes that may connect as well as the three of you do. You are special guys . So you know. I am a 71 year old lady that loves to laugh. Thank you.

The experience of this podcast and able to watch the three of you at the same time is way better then just to listen. I call this watching the Podcast my Job at the age of 71. I am retired my time is important to me. Everyone should have a podcast to watch for as long as they want. I found myself watching 4 in a row while trying to catch up starting at the first one.

I'm gunna be honest, when I first started listening, I thought Bingus was the token un-funny guy to make the funny guys pop a little more. But now I'm realizing just how quick witted and funny he is. I love his comments. Nate, you kinda gotta step it up man. He's making you look bad. 6/10.

This podcast is so funny but I’m pretty sure the funniest moment so far happened when Nate referred to Eleanor Roosevelt as a he. I laughed so hard then I had to bring it up on KZbin just to see facial expressions. Nate and Aaron were both laughing while Brian was looking like he was questioning his life’s choices. Love the podcast. You guys are awesome and I can’t wait to see you live.

I would love to see a weekly segment where Aaron “Fulcrum” Weber describes to us how he would have invented things that have already been invented. Today he tackled the wheel and axle. Maybe next week the spear? “I would take a long stick and sharpen one end to a point. That’s how I would do it.”

The term “Midnight Hour” originated before electricity. People would go to sleep at dark then wake up around 6 hours later. In the “middle of the night” they would wake up, go to the bathroom, have a snack listen to a podcast, and then go back to sleep until dawn. Apparently Abe Lincoln would do a lot of his studying and writing at that time.

Endlessly entertained by this episode. It's fun sitting here as an engineer and hearing Nate, Boat, and Goat, repeatedly swing and miss on trivial information. Nate's fire-making class for example: 1. "You gotta get a bark" ...(bark does not have a singular form, bark is also not used in fire-making)... 2. "and put it between your toes"(what, between your TOES, maybe if your aim is a blood blister) 3. "You'll get smoke very easy, but it's hard to get the actual coal" (Coal is formed when dead plant matter decays into peat and is converted into coal by the heat and pressure of deep burial over millions of years.) ...it's like watching the slumping guy on the Providence Steamrollers come up to bat for the 13th time and you're like, this guy would have better luck trying to start a fire with two broke bats. Love you guys love the show! Bonus material: ---I actually invented something, it could be the next phone answering robot! Don't worry about mentioning it, that's not why I commented. But since it's relevant to the episode and if you're curious, I invented bakspacer. It's a sweat reducing backpack attachment, Gout could wear it when he visits the cave. It's on bakspacer.com --> don't disqualify my comment and don't read this if it's awkward, just thought it would be a fun fact for anyone that read this far.

Alright, first we had the Krispy Kreme challenge. Next up is the primitive invention build challenge. Aaron's abundance of confidence has not been deterred by his lack of donut consumption. I think he may be downplaying how incredibly difficult it would be to carve a wheel from a boulder (with a hole directly in the middle for an axle) into a round enough shape out of nothing more than another rock. I think blender is the only one with a realistic idea of how hard it would be to make even the oldest inventions. Love you guys, keep up the great work!

The origin of "the gasp" bit. 1:19:15. My favorite part of it is Nate's impression of a very young Aaron in a very sweet young Alabama voice calling for his mother... (GASP) "Maaa-muh... you sed dey ain't gonna do it, but dey did it Maaa-muh!"

This ep made me laugh harder than any other, especially when Nate was razzing Aaron for gasping at the iPhone. On a side note, my mother wrote in her journal about leaving me outside in my playpen on an upstairs balcony while she would clean the house. I was a toddler, and she wrote how funny it was to watch me looking around bewildered when the wind would blow. That was around 1980, but maybe she was still following the old recommendation to leave kids out in the cold to make them stronger. Thanks for shedding some light on what I thought was childhood neglect.

I’m in my car telling you what an adjunct professor is realizing you can’t hear me. The nasa pilot said the word “marooned” and my girlfriend looked over at me confused as to what that character was referring to in which I quickly answered in my most educated voice “it’s an old word used by pirates meaning to leave someone abandoned on an island in which this movie is referring to an isolated planet rather than island” she stared at me baffled by my vocabulary knowledge and I simply replied “yeah I listen to a lot of educational podcasts at work”. Skip to a week after that. After having caught up on the Nateland podcast on her own she came to me and said “I figured out why you’re so smart,” with a chuckle in her voice. “I replied why?” To which she answered “you know nateland is not educational”. Since then I have moved out. Jk but great work guys everytime I listen to this I return to the real life with so many new talking points and trivia answers it’s insane. It’s easy to soak up and learn facts when they make you laugh so much. Thank you

I zoned out in the portion about re-reading things so I rewinded and relistened. Thankfully I have reprogrammed my zone answering robot to tell me the pertinent things and he was silent. I hope I didn't miss anything germain to my secular life. The fact that I'm here listening to this instead of the presidential inauguration says a lot about our society. I finally caught up to comment but Nate, Aaron and Barnaby, you guys make my day. Keep up the average american work folks!

Nate's introduction to Spurious Correlations was fantastic... you could almost hear his brain saying "finally! scientific proof for all my wildest theories!"

Oh my gosh! So funny! Around 1:15 when Nate imitates a proper "Adjunct" Professor calling the Weber Household on the old landline!! 😂😂😂 Watching some old episodes that I never caught before! My throat is tired from laughing! Having a Good Time!

You guys cover such a wide variety of topics on this show that if you did an episode titled Advertisements I'd probably listen to the whole thing without realizing the whole episode was just Nate, Aaron, and Bridegroom doing ad reads for sponsors

The sign of a great sports team is bouncing back after a tough defeat. You guys did this by going from Rhode Island (your worst ep) to Inventions (your best). Love listening to you folks all the way down in NZ. Aaron = MVP. Ka kite.

My favorite moment is Nate pretending to be an adjunct professor calling Aaron's childhood home. The callback game is STRONG

Hello Buttery Biscuits (B.B.) and guys! My wife and I just had a baby and this morning when I come down the stairs to head to work, my wife and 7 week old son were snuggling on the couch watching this episode. I could hear here laughing all the way upstairs. Thanks to everyone for making this crazy life a little less stressful and a little more funny.

Nate: I just never understood TiVo. Also Nate: you think scrolling on a touch screen smart phone was impressive in 2007? Imagine everyone’s surprise when Nate said he wasn’t a fast reader. Love the show, love the ridiculous tangents and riffs. Grateful to have this band playing while we all sink.

I had to stop recording my KZbin videos twice because I was laughing so hard!! "I gasped when Steve Jobs first scrolled on the first iPhone." "Did an animal ever invent anything?" I am literally listening to the "dumbest" show on the internet and it is HILARIOUS!! It's like hanging out with your friends at midnight and just talking about anything and laughing all night. This show brings me joy. Ya'll need to relax on Brisket. He actually sets up all of Nate's jokes. Go back to the tapes, he'll say a subject and then Nate goes off on a rant. I find it hilarious that Aaron always says "I wonder..." "Does this exist??" "How do you think that works?" BRO!! You have the laptop right in front of you! Start Googling that ish. Also have that chart guy send in more Correlated Charts. Those were hilarious. Keep the States Episodes coming. Looking forward to episodes on "Tables", "Chairs",. "Jackets", and "The Oxford Comma." Okay the last one might be too highbrow for this show. Literally best show ever! I want to give all my hours and minutes away for more of this. ***Edit*** Also I feel this format really does exercise your "Comedy Chops" as it were. You're basically saying "Be funny talking about pencils, calendars, states, etc." Makes you quick on your feet. Breakfast for President 2024!

As a teacher, when I would eat lunch at work, I would eat somewhat healthy, for the fact that I didn’t have that much time, and there’s societal pressure to eat healthier in public. You can’t eat hot dogs in a staff room, you have to eat those alone in the bathroom, in shame. But because of Covid, even though we are back teaching in person here in Montreal, they encourage us to go home to eat lunch to limit the number of people in the staff room. I now go home for lunch. My wife asked me what I ate for lunch. I said 2 burritos and some candy. She asked « no fruit? » I responded « the candy was fuzzy peaches...and Swedish berries ».
