I love Nate’s ability to analyze and provide reasons for everyday things. While there are many reasons I have come up with why I do not like modern news and reporting shows, I never thought about the problem being that the “journalists” have decided they want to be the celebrities. That is so true. Instead of reporting and providing stories that are unbiased, they want the spot light. Nate gets it! We just need Ben, Alex, and Dan to step it up now!

As a big Hank Williams fan, I can add some facts. The back problem Nate and Dusty were referring to is called Spina Bifida Occulta. This spinal issue led him to self medicate with alcohol and morphine, which caused the heart attack that killed him. He died January 1st, 1953 at the age of 29, in the back of his Cadillac, while traveling from Knoxville to Oak Hill, West Virginia, where he died. Another thing to add, his museum is located in Montgomery, Alabama, as he was born in Mount Olive, Alabama. Love the podcast, keep up the good work.

Aaron wants to hear a story about when we don't pull over & get in an accident while listening to the podcast? Well Nateland has a special place in my near death experience story. I was on my way home from work, Nateland playing on youtube on my phone (hands free of course) driving on my 60 mile commute from San Diego when I heard a screetch and squeel next to me (which is never good at full speed on the i15). That car lost control, hit me, spun me and threw me head on into the concrete center divider at 65mph. I flipped and landed on my cars roof. Hanging upsidedown by my seatbelt I had to unlatch and fall to the headliner of the smashed Prius, then punch out my passenger window to exit my car crawling out onto the fast lane of the massive 6 lane freeway. Thank God I was not badly injured, but once the fire department was there I had to ask them to get my phone out of my car, at which point I realized I could be in trouble if they saw Bewilderd's face on youtube... but they did not. I am thankful for your podcast and the part it plays in my story:)

I officiate high school football in Texas and it’s hard to understate the amount of resources school districts are willing to allocate to it. In the Houston area (where I am), many districts will have multiple large stadiums that I would be willing to put against many small colleges any day. For example, take a look at the Berry Center (Cy-Fair ISD), Woodforest Bank Stadium (Conroe ISD), or my personal favorite, Katy ISD which has two (Legacy Stadium and Rhodes Stadium) which are right next to each other but both still actively used. Not to mention some even bigger ones in the DFW area such as Allen and McKinney. Football is definitely king here.

He thought about it for a while and said he wanted the 20 dollars now. He was pretty upset when he googled one penny doubled for 30 days. Good lesson for him on compound interest. However, it made sense when Nate said that he left IMMEDIATELY after the show ended, considering we tried to catch him afterwards to say hello! Thus begs the question, do you guys as comedians hate being approached RIGHT AFTER a show? Look at the picture of Oprah after the fight with the cattle. By the way, what she said was, “I will never eat a hamburger again“ and the cattlemen worried about the impact that would have on the beef industry because she had more influence than commercials did. Anyway, standing behind her in that picture is Dr. Phil. If you ask Dr. Phil about his story coming up, he always forgets to mention that he was on the radio constantly as a guest and a joke.
